We turned a billion Muslims against us
Some will say they were already against us, but now Americans can't even walk the streets of our Muslim allies like Saudia Arabia, where before we could.

Wed Mar 16 2011Really!!! If that were the case why was there so much support from the Muslim nations around the world to oust Saddam Hussein? Muslims don't agree with western ideologies and beliefs but that does not mean they hate everything about western culture and its people!

Tue Apr 29 2008Like they were FOR us before the war?

Tue Jan 30 2007Who said we could walk Saudi Arabia? That is stupid we never were allowed to walk over there. Unless you were military or a politician on a state visit you are not allowed in Saudi Arabia anyways and then your travel is sorely restricted. You cannot take a vacation in Saudi Arabia but people from Saudi Arabia can come to America for vacation and education. Face the facts the Muslims are against Christians and Jews and that is what we are here in America. Screw The Radical Muslims and the moderates that do not speak up and help fight the radicals who use their religion to kill in the name of god are no better! Read the history of Lebanon and the religion of Islam know the truth before you spout this crap that we turned billions of Muslims against us!

Mon Aug 14 2006Ain't it the truth! The relatonship between Americans and muslims was never tight, so I think this only intensified the whole thing.

Tue Nov 15 2005They were already there. Who was dancing in the streets on 9-11?

Tue Nov 15 2005First, let's remember that terrorists are not true Muslims. Terrorists are extremists who have perverted religious teachings to promote hateful violence. The real question that should be posed here: Are Americans safer because of the Iraq War? In one region of the Middle East, we've killed many violent attackers who strongly resent our troops being there. This can be weighed against how many extremists across the Middle East have recently joined al-Qaida or now have some future likelihood to perform random acts of violence against Americans. It was never wrong to root out al-Qaida. Unfortunately, the Iraq War went off course from that original mission and consequently broadened the number of people who have viewed us as an enemy that should be attacked. The pricetag of waging a controversial war hasn't been cheap by any kind of measurement. I agree with rooting out terrorism, but it's of critical importance that it's done in an intelligent, highly focussed way with minimum risk... Read more

Tue Nov 15 2005The sad truth is that a lot of them were against us already. They've been pissed off about Israel and all of this gender equality "nonsense" that we have insisted upon displaying to them with our entertainment.

Mon Jun 27 2005Well I dispute a billion but a hundred million would not be off the mark. This is an insult that did not have to be done.

Tue Feb 22 2005I do believe many of them may have hated us long before this happened. But, hey, if you want to believe it's a brand new idea then be my guest. I just hope you don't run out of dope and rolling papers...if you do, ask Jar Jar Stinks for some - he's smoking some really strong stuff to be able to believe the crap he's writing about!)

Tue Feb 22 2005Nope, not even close... In fact we have gained a lot of new friends in the Muslim world. Sure there are those who hate the USA, but that is nothing new.

Mon Feb 21 2005Earth to Christian world - war doesn't not intimidate religious extremists. . .you cannot and will not win this with force because you have no concept of Islam (or any foreign culture, for that matter.) Only dumb Americans say that all Musllims are against Americans. Terrorists are not muslims, you retards. People that bomb abortion clinics are not really Christians, either. This war has turned middle-of-the-road Muslims into Anti-Americans. Only a complete breakdown of post-9-11 foreign policy would allow such a collapse. . .and it has happened. There will be a generation of Iraqi boys whose families have been innocent casualties that will grow up with a hard-on for this country. Nice job, people. This foreign policy is based on the psychology and philosophy of a playground bully.

Mon Feb 21 2005Samuel Huntington in Clash of Civilizations formulates an argument that suggests a war like the one in Iraq is foolish for primarily this reason. That though moderate muslims tend to agree with certain aspects of liberal democrats (classical) culturally they have more in common with fundamental muslims than they do with us. Paleo-conservatives suggest that the cultural divides are to great to bridge and our meddling in the muslim world foments radicalism in the regions and leads to unneccessary confrontation. I believe this position is foolish with the level of increased globalization and world trade economics is going to simply force interaction upon the world and the cultural divides will be solved one way or the other- historically by the sword. This also lends itself to the position that one should turn a blind eye to horrific evils like genocide for our own self interest. An untenable position in my estimation. Also when the position is taken up by liberals it reeks of duplici... Read more

Mon Feb 21 2005Not all Muslims are against the US but by attacking Iraq on the false pretenses of WMD's and connectons to the 9-11 bombers, the US has played perfectly into the goals terrorist cause.

Mon Feb 21 2005The War turned not only billions of Muslims against us,it also lost our reputation around the world as a Peaceful and sane nation. This is because of the FABRICATION of reasons to go to war.Waging a Pre-emptive war on a Nation that was already surrounded by us and our allies, who were allowing Weapons Inspectors to search for the now disproven WMD the Bushites were screaming about. Now they are trying to sell us the claptrap that we went there to give them elections.Would you advocate Bombing and invading countries to give them elections?Congress would have NEVER given Bush the authority to go to war over that.Saddam Hussein could have been captured or removed from power by many other methods than wasting the lives of our soldiers, killing civilians, destroying the infrastructure only to allow OUR corporations to bilk us with the rebuilding, etc. It just doesn't add up.Bush is seen as an idiot and a warmonger, and he managed to get into office again, making it appear that Americans endorse his ... Wed Feb 02 2005Golly, we shouldn't make people mad... They might ... oh, i dunno------ develop sophisticated, well financed, transnational conspiracies, culminating in stabbing 110 lb. stewardesses in the back, stealing jumbo-jets they didn't design or build, crashing said jumbo-jets into buildings & starting World War IV........wouldn't want that to happen, now would we ?

Tue Dec 14 2004what Bush and his supporters fail to see, is that they are just as bad as these Muslim extremists. they are both consumed with their religion, think they are fighting a holy war, subjugate their women and people with religious dictates, and believe violence is the only answer to attain peace. hope you all rot.

Wed Dec 08 2004We're missing the point. Why do you think the Muslims were dancing up and down with joy? It was because of American and Western policy in the Middle East. (Don't get me wrong, I think Islam is an evil scourge on our planet and wish we could purge ourselves of it, but we have to live with what is.) I suggest it might be wise for us to review what our policies have been and begin to change them. The US people haven't always been given the full info on what has been happening there over the decades and it's time to find out.

Mon Dec 06 2004Try not to cast all Muslims as enemies of the US. Our enemy is that faction of fanatics who kill innocent civilians and attack military and non-military targets. I couldn't care less if a large group of people hates the US, I'm getting used to it. It's the reason for the US Military and the Defense Department. Walk softly and carry a big stick was good advice. I go further. If you have the big stick, it's useless as a deterrent unless you use it when you should.
