Sat May 23 2009Another old traditional team. Just need some touch up on thier uniforms.

Tue Aug 26 2008They should wear the red jerseys at home, and yellow pants would be a bad idea to wear with the red jerseys either, but keep the red with the white ones.

Mon May 28 2007Love the burgandy (supposed to be "home") jerseys. If they ever wear them on a regular basis, they would look more presentable. Classic uni's though...

Sun Dec 10 2006Best in the NFL, bar none!

Sun Aug 27 2006Once again, I wish I could give the Redskins a 3 3/4 stars. They have a good, solid defense, a good offensive line, and good RB Corp. In my mind their only question mark is the QB Position. They kept their aging QB, traded away Patrick Ramsey, and have no QB with any experience with Al Saunders. If Brunell can stay healthy, the Redskins will win their Division. They would then probably have to play the Wild Card round. With the wear and tear on Portis and Brunell, this team doesn't have enough to make it to a Super Bowl.

Sat Apr 01 2006I lie the home unis especially white pants. The retro look was cool as well. Here is an idea for home unis:White jerseys and gold pants with the old school helmet.

Fri Sep 30 2005The skins have one of the ugliest color schemes in the NFL - for all of you who don't know better they did not "rip off" the Seminoles helmet logo. It was the other way around. If they want a higher rating they need to go to the darker red and yellow and stick with the spear on the helmet.

Sat Jul 09 2005Fantastic. Much better than those Florida State ripe-offs they had with Steve Spurrier. One of the best, maybe even the best helmet logo in the NFL is the redskins's indian. Quite wearing white for home though, and wear a red jersey with gold pants for home.

Wed Mar 30 2005Believe me, it's not easy being a Redskins fan living in Dallas, TX. I became a Redskins fan as a young boy. I remember the exact moment that I realized I was a Redskins fan. I had just heard about John Riggins' awesome performances in his previous two playoff games leading to the Redskin's birth in the 1982 NFC Championship game against their rivals, the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys were my dad's favorite team at the time. I remember Riggins inspiring performance in that game and during the second half, I noticed that even though my Dad and older brother were adamantly cheering for the Cowboys, I was more impressed with Riggins and the Redskins team. I remember stating this out loud to my Dad and he said that I was free to go for any team I liked. After Washington won the game I also remember watching the AFC Championship Game cheering for the Jets to beat the Dolphins because my logic was that Washington would have an easier time beating the Jets in the Superbowl. However, Mia... Read more

Mon Feb 28 2005The helmet is awesome but the rest of the uniform is below average. They should add more gold (maybe gold pants) and put the numbers up on the shoulders rather than on the sleave. They can do alot with this classic color scheme and could possibly make the 'Skins the NFL's best dressed but they have to update everything but the helmet.

Sat Feb 05 2005These are good, I like the helmet, but they should go back to the gold pants. I didn't like the Florida State style spear helmets.

Fri Feb 04 2005Franchise steeped in tradition has resisted major changes (and even minor tweaks) for a very long time. With the exception of the tucked feather helmet decal in '82, the excellent anniversary throwbacks worn in 2002 and the all-white variation in 2003, this uniform has been the same since '79, with the helmet dating back to '72.

Wed Jan 26 2005Burgundy and Gold .. sign of Power, Blood, Sweat, Tears and Glory.
by zeus83
Thu Jan 06 2005cant complain about a classic. though the spear look was nice. love how they resisted a sleeve logo.

Tue Dec 21 2004The Redskins have a good defence but they do not have the offence.

Wed Dec 15 2004Never liked the Redskins much and the owner is the absolute worst. Get him out. You can't buy a Super Bowl ring no matter how rich you are.
by rand1125
Sun Nov 28 2004GREAT uniform...No Doubt...but I think the burgandy helmet with the spear on it(Sonny Jergenson days)would make this uni one of the Best! Lose the white pants though...Yellow pants should be the Redskins 'staple'!
by droxas
Thu Oct 21 2004Clinton Portis running the counter-trey.....now all they need is some hogs and just start the Riggins flashbacks..............OK so maybe I overestimated Gibbs just a little....so he's gotta clean the house up.....the Skins will return to prominance in 2005.

Sat Sep 11 2004the team is so good this year
by tatoosandscarz
Sun Aug 29 2004Classic uniforms, but I didn't like the white pants away. Why the hell do they try to copy the Cowboys with white jerseys at home. Burgundy home is much better!
by onehungrymonst_er
Wed Aug 25 2004They'll be able .500 this season.
by bigjohnstud
Fri Aug 20 2004Home uniforms are among NFL's best, they should wear them more often. I don't know why they stopped wearing all white on the road.
by mooseg
Thu Aug 12 2004Retro unis from 2002 were awesome(actually burgundy and gold instead of ketchup and mustard), but they won't change. Current Gibbs-era unis are lame.
by lanceroxas
Mon Aug 02 2004Clinton Portis, Scott Brunell, and Gibbs back with the Skins.. the NFC EAST is going to be a ton of fun to watch! I still have @#$@#$ Synder for robbing the Jets blind last year but thats business.
by redskindon
Wed Jul 14 2004I'm a diehard Redskins fan, but for the life of me I can't figure out why we don't go back to the dark burgundy unies with the spear helmet. I also like the old gold pants. I've never been a fan of the unies worn during the Joe Gibbs era.
by jamesfarrior
Fri Jul 09 2004change the helmet to the retro Florida State one and you have a 5
by newdealcowboy
Wed May 26 2004this is the hardest one to figure out. It needs an update. but to what? I like the 80's version yet it does not feel right in an organization thats gone through such drastic change.
by davyd83
Thu May 06 2004out of date...loved the throwbacks w/ spear on helmet and darker maroon & gold colors
by ninobene
Fri Apr 09 2004I believe Jeff Daniels said it best in Dumb and Dumber...Just when I think you can't get any dumber...you go and do this...AND TOTALLY REDEEM YOURSELF!!! We've got Joe Gibbs!!! Happy days are on the horizion!!!

Fri Mar 26 2004Pro football is a flashy game which means I generally prefer the flashier uniforms. As a result the uniforms worn by the Washington Redskins land in the middle of my preference list. The burnt red is aggressive and attractive and fits the team's nickname, but red is also relatively common in the NFL. Moreover, the old helmets with the arrow was better than the newer circle with the Native American profile. Finally, some seem to find the nickname Redskins to be offensive. While I do not exactly understand why people take offense at this, it remains a factor in the rating.

Wed Nov 26 2003I am a big Spurrier fan after all he did for the Gators. It is tough seeing him go from being a god in Gainesville to whipping boy in the NFL. But I think it would be a mistake for him to go back to college for at least a few years yet. He already has the National Champ win, and has the most wins of any coach for their first 10 years in college football. What is there to go back for? Spurrier is all about the challenge, and while this must be frustrating, I think some part of him is glad to take this step, especially with the odds the way they are right now, and make a good place for himself in the NFL. I initially held him to blame for all the Redskin woes, but I have been amazed at how many people blame Snyder. A national radio program even tried to get everyone to boycott the game to protest Snide-er. I don't know how much he meddles, but a lot of people believe he is screwing things up. If Spurrier does leave it would be interesting if he did well reasonably soon while the Redski... Read more

Sat Nov 08 2003This team has actually regressed from last year. They were below-average and now they're bad going terrible. Steve Spurrier has not adjusted to the role of an NFL coach very well at all. This team has paid so much for good players and have nothing to show for it. That stupid fun and gun scheme might work in college, but poor Patrick Ramsey is going to be dead before he reaches the end of the season if he doesn't get protected better. Spurrier is also responsible for letting Stephen Davis go because he "didn't fit into the system." Well look now the Panthers (with Davis) are 6-2 and the sorry 'Skins are 3-5. After 8 games, Davis is 8 yards shy of 1,000 yards and Spurrier's best running back has a grand total of 295 yards!!! For crying out loud is something wrong with this picture??? Dan Snyder better send Spurrier and his 5 million per yer tab back to coaching college after this year. It doesn't matter, because the Redskins are going to suck for a long time no matter who coach... Read more

Tue Apr 22 2003Dan Snyder is an embarrassment. He is in league with Chuck Barris.
by themyth
Fri Apr 11 2003Losing Marvin Lewis hopefully wasn't disastrous for the defense. I know they were top 10, but when you look at the players they have, they could have done so much more this year now that they learned the system. Still, with the right coach, they should be an anchor for this team. If they can have a receiver emerge, and if young Patrick Ramsey can play with some consistency, they might do some damage this year.
by president_x_d
Fri Apr 04 2003Steve Spurrier made some very poor decisions this past season. I really think he was wasting his time trying to start Wuerffel and Matthews; in the position the Redskins are in, he would have been better served to have the rookie Ramsey start as many games as possible, to determine whether or not they'll need to draft a QB in an early round. Wuerffel and Matthews have proven that they are sub-par in the NFL and Spurrier's experimenting with them should have ended halfway though the season. Snyder needs to continue spending money to benefit his club, but he truly needs to step away from all personnel decisions. Other than that, I've always had a soft spot for the Skins, and they have a long legacy of being one of the best all-around franchises in the NFL.

Thu Apr 03 2003I sincerely hope that Dan Snyder spends himself broke on this team--and never has a single championship to show for it. Callous s.o.b...

Wed Mar 26 200310-6, Win East, Make it to Championship Game. And to everyone who doesn't like the skins who doesn't like the Skins because we have an owner who actually wants to win...See you in January watching us!
by az1skinsfan
Wed Mar 26 2003Skins had an Incredible offseason. They should now have on of the best offensive lines in all of football, one of the best and fastest recieving cores, a fast running back and still a great deffense. 11 - 5 mark my words!!! GO SKINS!!!

Tue Mar 11 2003Awful, awful, awful name, I can't believe that any American could allow this racial slur to be used so non-chalantly for a team name. Change the name!

Tue Jan 07 2003I have been a Washington Redskin fan for almost 50 years. Do or die they will always be my team. I was elated to finally get to see them beat Dallas this year! I don't care if they lose every other game as long as they beat Dallas I can get some satisfaction. I certainly hope that we can get it together next season. Finally, "I love you Darrell Green." You will be greatly missed!

Thu Dec 05 2002They've won a few games, but Spurrier has not turned out to be the saviour they all thought he would be.
