Greasy kid stuff.  Washburns are usually just OK and really don't provide much value.  This one in particular, as it's a 3/4 scale, which even beginners lose interest in once they gain some ability.  If you want to get an electric guitar for a beginner, look at brands like Schecter, which makes some fine low-price point instruments, or go the Epiphone or Squire route.  Or, pick up a Gretsch Junior Jet, a Gibson Melody Maker or a Danelectro.  These guitars provide good value and have some re-sale appeal if the beginner loses interest in the instrument.

We bought this guitar for my six-year old daughter on her birthday this summer. It's a mini version of an adult electric guitar. Its a perfect size for her to handle and she loves it!

We bought this for our 9 year old daughter's birthday. It was a hit, she absolutley loves it, we were impressed with how pretty it is. I only wish it came with a better amp, we are looking forward for our daughter to begin guitar lessons in mid-spring.

Bought this for my 5 year old daughter and she loves it. I have been playing guitar for over 20 years, know alot about Washburn guitars, they make some really good guitars, this is no exception. But remember this is a beginners guitar, don't expect a $2000 and up guiatr, it is what it is. Had to do a little adjusting(lower the stings)and it was good to go. Looks really good too.

The guitar is beautiful! My daughter just loves it & has taken her first guitar lesson. The only down fall is that it doesn't come with an amp but that is probably the norm. I would buy it again!
