    This was the U.S. plan for war with Japan. Although scrapped before WWII began, much of it was used during the war.It proved to be unrealistic in many respects. One part was a sortie of the battleships from Pearl Harbor. The battle fleet would have sailed across the Pacific to relieve the Philippines where the USA troops would be holding out.If that would have happened, even if the fleet had not been sunk in the sneak attack, probably the entire fleet would have met its doom in deep blue water because of the power of the airplane, which power was downplayed when the plan was drafted.
