Walter Byrd Roofing

Walter and Roy Byrd were hired to do a new roof. They started the job, "No Problem" they said! After the second day and 90% done they asked to be paid. I paid them about 90% and they said they would be back in a day to finish the back porch and complete the clean-up. Now two weeks latter and three phone calls a day, they no longer answer the phone. After choosing this roofing company based upon their ad in the yellow pages, and the fact that they warranty the work, I hired them. They quoted me a lower price as long as I bought the supplies. They performed the wood repair, and installed the shingles. However, with the first rain, it was discovered that the leak was just moved up the roof to where they had installed new wood. When I tried to get them to come back out to fix the leak, they quoted me another price to re-roof over their repair. I pointed-out that they said they would repair my leak, but they said they would not do any more work until I committed to a new roof. After being put-off for a few weeks, I called them to see when they would be out to fix it, and was told "Just sue me." So, that is what I am going to do. Do not use this company. They lie on their ad, and on their website where it says "100% satisfaction guaranteed".
