Thu Nov 12 2009We are a Disney fanatic family. We live in the Orlando area so it's only a 40 min drive for us to get to the parks. We are going this weekend as a matter of fact!! Woohoo! We get our season tickets each yr. and we make the most of the money spent. Yes it is expensive but if you know what you are doing and the ways to play the game...you can definitely cut part of the cost out. For example...buy one bottle of water and just refill it from the water fountains. Yes that may sound cheap to some of you but if you are one to complain about the cost, then figure out ways to get back some of that expense. There are things you can do with the food...burgers for example have two patties in most of the food places now (for whatever reason) so purchase a burger and fries meal and then get an extra bun...use the second patty for that bun and go put the condiments on it. This is good for kids. Or cut one burger in half and split it between two children. If you need extra fries get an order of fries ... Read more

Fri Jun 19 2009I have been to Disney World 15 or 16 times (I lost count), and everything has always been perfect. I really have nothing but positive things to say about Disney. While some think it is expensive you are paying for an experience and friendly service. I have never met a grouch Disney employee. The Fast Pass tickets are a must to save you from lines! I am dying to go back as soon as possible.

Tue Jun 02 2009Walt Disney World is the larger of the two Disney theme parks, with Disneyland being the other. Disney world is located in Florida, which means that if you plan to go at the right time, anywhere from early June to mid August, you should have a great time. The park is extremely overpriced, because nothing is included with your admission to each individual park, and fees for everything are really high. Staff, however, is very friendly, and help make your trip very enjoyable. Everyone should go at least once.

Thu May 21 2009As a young child, my father had taken me several times to the legendary Palisades Park (it was torn down in 1970, I believe, and there are apartment buildings located where it once stood-- the restaurant across the street where mob boss Willie Moretti was shot down in 1951 is also gone). I only have scattered memories of the time I spent there, but I think I built it up in my mind over the years, and every amusement park I've been to since I compare to Palisades Park, and find the non-Palisades Park attractions lacking. Every year, we'd visit my aunt and uncle in Cocoa Beach, Florida, and on a few occasions my parents took me and my sister over to Walt Disney World. Let me say, first of all, that even as a young child, I was never all that "charmed" by or enamored of Disney cartoons, movies, or TV shows. I was a bigger fan of "Gigantor" and "Courageous Cat" than I ever was of "Mickey Mouse". So the idea of human beings walking around in life-size Mickey Mouse or Goofy costumes was lost... Read more

Tue Sep 30 2008Ok, So I have to start by saying, Disney is awesome. It's the only place in the whole world that no matter how old you are, you can be a kid!!!! The rides are not meant to all be scary and crazy, its a theme park, have a little fun. I used to live in jersey and moved here just to work in the happiest place on earth. And still, every time I go back, I have so many great memories of being a kid and having no worries. So it costs a lot of money, you know what, it's totally worth it. Save up and just enjoy yourself. For once in your life, dont sit and think about home much life sucks and how expensive everything is. If your kids are driving you crazy wanting to buy everything, give them money before you get there and tell them thats all they have for souvenirs, it works, i promise. And for those of you complaining about the heat and mosquito, i feel it silly to point this out but need to....its florida hahahaha we are pretty close to the equator over here haha, beats the snow anytime. Agai... Read more

Tue Nov 06 2007Candy! YAAAAY... Screaming kids! NOOOO... Holy crap, crap to buy! WOOOO... Sweaty sunburn time! EWWWW... More kids! Pram to the shin! OUUUUCH... Walk til your feet fall off! OWWWW... Ok, I'll give it a 4. Mainly because I like buying random crap, which is like 85% of the things to do there. I also like the cute un-scary rides such as teacups, Dumbo, etc. If you see something that reminds you of a scene from Elf when Buddy is with the little elf peoples, that's me on a kiddie ride... wave and I'll smile back. Because smiling is my favorite.

Fri Mar 10 2006I was an intern at Disney World. The main purpose behind this park NOW is to make money. It is ridiculous how much money they charge for EVERYTHING associated with this park. Be prepared to see the abuse of Disney's Dream taken to the extreme and sold for a heavy profit. Many cast Members here suffer more than anyone can imagine. Costumed characters are forced during the humid summer to withstand heat of up to 120 degrees inside the costume and that story is just the beginning of what goes on.... New rides are created without much creativity and are intended by their creators to quickly exit you into a gift shop selling merchandise for the super quick ride that you just rode. There are some magical experiences still to be had at Disney World and those range in the old sections of Disney that Walt Disney himself invented (ie. Magic Kingdom rides/attractions, certain sections of EPCOT). The park is still geared toward children and they are the only ones who will truely enjoy most of... Read more

Thu Jan 19 2006Disney World is the sweetest theme park in the Universe!!!
by torin_gustafson
Mon Sep 19 2005Disneyland is better in terms of the Magic Kingdom - it has more rides and activities than Orlando's incarnation. But as a resort, Disney World offers more parks and a longer vacation.

Mon Aug 15 2005I went here a long time ago with everyone! IT was really nice the tower of terrior was so fun i loved and the animal kingdom!!!!!! And then after that we took a cruise!!!!It was a fun trip!

Sat Jun 04 2005I absolutely HATE this extremely and rediculously expensive non-amusing amusement park ! This is NOT A RIDES PARK ! Yes,this is most definitely a park for kids and it is a place that YOU AND YOUR FAMILY SHOULD DEFINITELY SEE AND VISIT but in my opinion ONE TIME IS ALL YOU AS A SINGLE,ADULT PERSON SHOULD EVER NEED. OF course if you have kids and grandkids more visits will be required for each person, child or grandchild, until each person in your immediate family will have been there, saw that. But,if you aren't a parent or grandparent then in my opinion ONCE IS ENOUGH ! This is most definitely an ATTRACTION or THEME PARK ! And,in my opinion the theme here is THIS IS NOT A RIDES PARK ! No,this is most definitely a WILL YOU LOOK AT THAT PARK So,DON'T GO and WASTE A TON OF MONEY IF YOU THINK YOU ARE GOING TO RIDE ALOT OF RIDES ! There are so few rides that you stand in line ALL DAY and sun burn (even if you already have a deep, dark tan or even if you are not caucasion),in the no shade,sub-tro... Read more

Sun Apr 24 2005I liked this, especially the island with the animals on it, the birds were really cool. I also liked the mgm section of it. My family is not into rides as much as I am, therefore I didn't get to ride many rides that I would have liked to.

Sun Feb 20 2005I've been to them all and once you have been to Kings Island then you will never ever again say that Disney World is a better amusement park. A bigger AMUSEMENT PARK yes but a better one ? NO ! Kings Island has more RIDES than anyother amusement park. Disney has more THEME ATTRACTIONS than anyother park but pales in comparison to both Kings Island and Cedar Point when it comes down to rides.

Sun Feb 20 2005I went here for about 5 days and let me tell you it was the greatest time of my life. I went in October so the lines weren't a real problem and the humidity wasn't bad. I probably like Epcot the best. Both MGM Studios and Magic Kingdom were good too but Animal Kingdom wasn't that impressive. Overall if your going to a theme park resort then go here since it's the best of the best!

Fri Oct 29 2004When I first went, I was 17. At age 17, I thought it would be cool, but I was wrong. It was magical, really. It brought back all of the memories I had as a kid watching disney movies. As I said to my mom, All my friends are here! It was really a lot of fun, and I would like to go back sometime.

Fri Jun 25 2004Disney World is the greatest park in the world, it's what all other parks are compared to. They always come out with the best and most creative rides, and the tecnology used in them is always cutting edge. No, they don't have the tallest or fastest coasters, but there is no other park in the world that offers as many ride choices, or as many different great experiences as Disney World does. We went there last Christmas, it was our fourth time, and we saw the fireworks on new years in Magic Kingdom, at around ten at night it started to pour down rain, and didn't stop all night, and it was still one of the best experiences I had ever had in an Amusement park.

Fri May 28 2004This is a great place to vacation at...but there a few things to be aware of. DO NOT....at all costs....come to Disneyworld from May to August.....you WILL get eaten alive by mosquitos, or you will die from the 80% humidity (unless you live where there is already a lot of humidity), or you will stand in line till the end of time, because of big crowds. If you do plan on coming during this time, take advantage of the FastPass system. As a former Disneyland cast member, I can tell you that cast members cannot refuse a late FastPass...having worked FastPass myself. Get a FastPass and keep it, until your next opportunity to get a Fast Pass ( either in 2 hours or at your FastPass time). Collect a lot of them, until later. Go chill at your hotel during the hottest hours, then come back later and ride all the rides using your FastPass tickets. I went there last week, and my theory totally worked...works all the time at Disneyland. One thing to note...that I found disturbing was that the Cast ... Read more

Thu Mar 04 2004We were booking a famlily vacation there for June this year, and no one at the DISNEY RESORT, PARK, or on ANY of the calander of events at thier web pages told us it was GAYDAYS with over 2 weeks of events covering our stay! We have cancelled our trip and are going to DOLLYWOOD. They were very ugly about not needing to tell us, and I am fighting them on the refund. Totally wrong to book a family with 6 kids under 10 at that time without mentioning it. I had even said we were not lo0cked into any dates, and those were the ones they selected for us.

Tue Aug 19 2003Disney is the best place in the world! Especially if you're a teenager and go with your friends. I was just there in March for my senior trip and would give almost anything to go back. Everyone's always so nice down there because everyone is happy.

Sat Feb 01 2003Despite the fact that some parks are weaker than others, it is a truly fun place to go, and is a place that you must at least see some time in your life.

Fri Jan 17 2003This is truly the best vacation destination on earth. I love going here and would spend time here every year if I was able. It is ridiculously expensive, but that's just part of Disney World! Try to enjoy the magic!

Mon Dec 02 2002MAGIC...No other place like it on earth. Do yourself and your family a favour...GO. Stay in one of the many Disney owned resorts....the magic stays with you 24/7.

Sun Aug 11 2002I went to Walt Disney World a few years ago with my family and it turned out to be a lot more expensive than I realized. I absolutely had no idea that you had to pay separately to get into epcot, the magic kingdom, mgm studios and the other parks. We ended up visiting the magic kingdom which was fun for the children, but did not peak my interest. I did enjoy myself however. I especially liked fantasy island because they had so many clubs to choose from.

Mon Jul 02 2001It's an okay place, but I feel it's overrated. And WAY TOO EXPENSIVE!! Give me Sea World anytime, over Disney World!
by sxycheerleader_09
Sun Jul 01 2001The best park in the world! I would live there if I could! Its impossible to see everything because there is so much and they have so much room for expansion. This place brings alot of happiness to people of all ages. I love this place with all my heart.

Fri Mar 02 2001It's very disappointing that we missed anumber of rides because they were shut down (4) whenb we were there. Tremendous place but really hard to figure out what and how to see the whole place until you've been there at least once.

Thu Jan 25 2001Disney World was exciting for me at the age of 18 as it was when I was 8. This is truly a magical place to me..yeah yeah, I know..commercialism, major corporation, all they want is your money..whatever..let me live in my dream world. Disney World has the ultimate thrill rides (Space Mountain, Tower of Terror etc..) as well as fun rides for all ages (haunted mansion, It's a small world). The park is incredibly clean and the staff is very kind and courteous. This is the ultimate dream vacation for people of all ages.

Thu Jan 25 2001A classic amusement park. The one thing I didsliked about my experience at Disney when I was a kid is that my whole family had to wear the same t-shirts in the park in case anybody got separated from the group. Fun rides, a ton of theme things going on and turkey burgers galore. As an adult, I am going to be there in a week for a Fairy Tale wedding of a friend. This should be interesting...
