Walkin' On the Sun (Smash Mouth)

Smash Mouth revived west coast surf with "Walkin' On The Sun" with a modern take on the genre, and for the most part the band obviously succeeded for a few years in the late 1990's. Other than that, this single isn't all that notable. Smash Mouth would do a little better a few years later (at least in my opinion) with "All Star", which is a better song. Nevertheless, "Walkin' On The Sun" was a bigger charting single in the U.S. (48 weeks, #2). The only notable cover is a jazz take by Jeff Golub.
