After relocating from New York to Los Angeles, we were very hopeful in finding a wedding planner that could help us pull together a wedding that was ?us?. I met with both wedding planners and event planners ? about 7 in total ? in order to find the right team to work with us. I read all the blogs, review websites and did m homework before meeting with anyone and spoke with a dozen more before I found Velvet Ropes and Maneeja. I knew immediately that this was a company led by professionals that knew the right questions to ask and would customize a package to meet my needs. As the planning continued and the wedding approached, I leaned more and more on Maneeja for advice and she consistently met our expectations and was timely and very thorough with all emails/phone calls. If I could, I wouldn't give this company any stars because it doesn't deserve any! This company (and Maneeja, the owner) almost ruined my friend's wedding. My friends met with Maneeja & chose her as their wedding planner because she seemed to understand the vision that my friends wanted for their wedding. Fast forward to 1 week before the wedding and they found out that Maneeja had not contacted any of their vendors, and had done absolutely NOTHING so far. When they demanded their deposit back based on breach of contract, she refused and ran off with their money! Be aware. She comes off as very sweet, but is really just a liar and not to be trusted!!

Velvet Rope did a really great job on our Holiday Masquerade Party. When we initially met with event planners, most of them were stand offish and didnt seem to want our business. But this company really went out of their way to show us what they had envisioned for our event. They gave us pictures, budget breakdowns and seemed very professional. Their ideas were brilliant and their execution was flawless. They even wore cute little costumes to add that magic touch. I would definately recommend them in a heartbeat.

I used Velvet Rope Special Events to help elevate some of my stress for my wedding. They were so great and detailed with every thing. They helped me with my timeline of the wedding, and included everything from when the baretnders should arrive to what the MC should and should not announce - wonderfu! Very professional and the owner, maneeja is very cute. :) LOL. They were all a pleasure to work with.

I used Velvet Rope to assist my fiancee and I with locating vendors for our wedding in our backyard. Maneeja is the owner and she did a great job responding to my phone calls and emails (not sure about what happened with that other guy) - and she found me a great vendor with good prices to cover my pool. I really recommend her and her team because they did a great job and left my new wife and I very happy and unaware of all the little fires she burned out during the night.

I found Velvet Rope Special Events through a friend who had hired them as her wedding planner. Her wedding was really the most organized and detail-oriented that I'd ever been to. The flow was wonderful, and everyone looked so professional. I called them a few months later for my husband's office christmas party and initially I thought I was going to be let down because it took them a while to return my call, probably because of the holiday season), but someone eventually did and it was all uphill from there. They made the whole process look so simple and my husband got major kudos for finding such great corporate event planners. I tell you behind every smart man is an even smarter wife! :)
