I haven't tried Uproar in years. When I did, it was back when I first started using the internet, and, I remember getting loads of popups. Other people who knew more about computers told me that the popups would give my computer viruses. Yes, I believed them. Da!

Uproar has a boatload of fun games to play. It used to be one of my favorite haunts. However, the site has been known to harbor viruses, in particular, the formerly dreaded "180 Search Assistant." I've gotten that from Uproar, myself. How can I be sure? Being an insomniac, it sometimes takes a while for me to get going when I first awake. When this happens, I go onto one of my favorite sites and goof off to help make me more alert. There were times when I did this before anything else at all, AND after having run virus checks at the end of the previous day. My attempts to alert them to the problem were ignored, or at least, I never received a reply. Also, you might actually win as I did. If you look under the "Winners" section, I might still be there as having won an MP3 player. The player, though, didn't work at all right from the box. When I informed Uproar of this, they wrote that I would be reimbursed for the value of the player. I never received a dime, and never received ano... Read more

It was better when it was flipside.com, ALOT less ads and bs when you are on the site. The games lock up. And they got rid of all their Hoyle games (now to be found on the hoyal website). So I really don't play there anymore.

Just another (scam) online gaming site (yawwnnn) who pretends to pay people money for winning games, (yeah right)..it's horrible. The games come in handy when you're sleepy and need that final push to get you to bed.

I would have given it 5 stars but lately I've been unable to play my faves -- trivial pursuit and password. It's not my anti-virus software as I have 2 'puters one with and one w/out and I can't play the games on either. Not that this is exactly the place for this kind of thing, can anyone advise me?

i like acrophobia, and i enjoy playing the classics but i do wish that they'd make trivial pursuit more exciting or interactive. also, those friggin' Icoins...what's the point?

Hard to really say Flipside.com is better now, since it appears they merged.

The only site worth going to. It's extremly fun and exciting. You can play for real or fake money. You can play for coins to enter contests with. You can play interactive games, card games, casino games, or just good old fashion arcade games.

Used to be a good site. Now the games get very tired very fast. Most all the games are single player games. Another problem is with abusive players. There is no way to deal with them, so when they get started the rooms become a mess. I prefer playing at pogo.com where I can play in peace.

Once was okay, the novelty of puzzle-a-go-go and the different bingo games wore off quickly...and that was if you could play without having your board freeze up on you. Too many ads now, with no real recourse for nasty players (you can report, but nothing happens.) Blah blah blah blah blah.

The site gets old pretty quick. The ability to chat while you play the games is pretty cool though...
