If it was a bit brighter it would have been cool but it doesn't really light up the room like I thought it would. Overall it's alright something to watch but I never would bring it to a party. Look at "the laser star machine" if you want something amazing.

This toy is fine for kids, but not good for a serious party. If you have other effects in your 'show', the unit will seem very weak and light in comparison. It syncs well with the music though. The main unit has a power cord and the remote has 3 aaa batteries. I bought it to add to the lights I already had for a party. I had it on during the party, but it was upstage by the other units I had on.

Yeah, this product looks awesome on the outside. Just too bad it isn't as cool as the box and advertisements show. The light show just isn't quite as smooth as it's website shows. You have to set the sensitivity just right or it is way too annoying for a small party. It would work for a wilder pary. Oh well. I still give it several stars because it really is a cool toy. I enjoyed it.

I was sorta hoping this was going to look cooler than it actually does. As far as sound reactivity, the audio really drives the visuals well... The visuals are a little too strobey/flashy...we had it on @ a party and decided it was just too annoying. :(
