Sat Jun 27 2009Glad-ImNotMackBrown, I second your checking the inflated population of 900k+ that clowns Clifton and MC wrote. That figure would put 1/3 of the state's population in Tulsa. The math doesn't work given the population distribution throughout the state and OKC's position as the biggest city. 900k is absurd, unless you want to include OKC (130 mi away) as part of Tulsa's "metro." Every wannabe city plays that game, such as when dallas had a radio ad claiming it had more shopping than NY. If you wanna play that game, include the other 4 boroughs and the rest of Long Island, or, with Tulsa's 900k+ population fantasy of its metro area extending 130 miles, I suppose you could include nj and CT. Unlike OKC to tulsa, those jersey jackasses and CT wannabes actually would love to and do claim to be part of NYC's metro area. Such exaggeration is something Tulsa has an annoying proclivity for. Tulsa is pretentious and loves to think of itself as sophisticated and urban. I'm not putting down Oklahoma... Read more

Mon Jun 08 2009have passed through it before. an attractive city on the exteroir with nice natural beauty and an interesting build up. It is in bad need of repair tho in many places especially the freeways. The reason I gave Tulsa 2 stars is because while it might be one of the more interesting looking cities ive seen it has some of the ugliest, wierdest, most hickish residents ive ever seen in my life. I was literally terrified at the gas station while nothing but fat ugly girls walked around in short shorts and tons of dudes that looked like joe dirt driving pickup trucks. It's a shame its this way for such an interesting looking town.

Mon Jul 24 2006Beautiful forested rolling hills, lots of lakes, hiking, nature centers, parks, museums, low traffic, great restaurants and shopping centers. Four seasons. Trees and water. What more could you want!

Thu May 18 2006I went to Broken Arrow, OK which is a suburb of Tulsa. I never saw the city of Tulsa itself. But I must say, Broken Arrow is a nice community. I was impressed by how polite the people were. Me and my brother...2 young black men....we're from the midwest and NEVER were treated so nicely then when we were down there. We even had to look at each other and laugh. Broken Arrow totally impressed me.

Sun Nov 14 2004I've been to Tulsa several times and find it to be a beautiful city. There's a lot of potential there and very easy to navigate. I would love to there.

Sun Aug 01 2004Uh, Clifton you must be on crack or thinking about Las Vegas....this is Tulsa and trust me it stinks-i live in this crappy town. Moving out of here next year to North Carolina. Btw-there's not a million people here...more like 393,256 might help looking at your info before making comments like that. You might make people mad if they read your remarks and moved here. One last thing-Taxes too high, pitiful mayor, bad schools, horrible roads. If you come into Tulsa on your way somewhere else? take a detour around this stinking place.

Wed Oct 22 2003I lived in Tulsa for a year and I was SO bored! There is nothing there but churches, restaurants, and Wal-mart. Oh yeah, there is a movie theatre that only charges a $1 so that was cool.

Thu Mar 30 2000You know I don't have a lot to say about Tulsa (does anybody?, I've really only passed through a couple of times and didn't do a whole lot of sightseeing. So take my comment with a grain of salt, I didn't see a lot but I really have to wonder if there was much more to see. Not exactly a hot spot.
