Haha I've watched the movie countless times but more recently I watched an episode of "Robot Chicken" where theyw ere maknig fun of "the terminator" and Arnold's head was on a babies body.. and he was running round trying to save sarah connor and her kid but because he had baby legs he could move very fast.. " AHH wait up! Arnold has baby legs! " Change my diaper! QUICK!!! LOL everyone has t watch that episode. This movie though in general you have arnold as a spy, his wife didn't know about it at all until further in the movie when he gets drugged and all this happy horse sh-t. He ends up killing most everyone that is a baddie while he waits for his pick up to bring him back and get the terrorist. The fact that the airforce allowed him to take their jet.. was stupid -.- lol..

Turn off your brain and enjoy the movie> Jamie Lee Curtis and the Governator play well off each other and Tom Arnold isn't annoying. A nice fun movie.

The Twinkie of Ah-Nud films. . .tasty but quite empty. . .it's a tame action film with the Terminator playing the super-agent-with-a-family. . .I don't think the film is aging well, but it should go into the vault as safe-action-cinema.

One of Arnolds better films. He is not just the Terminator in this. Light-weight fun adventure. Try not to think so much. Just let it flow. Tom Arnold was slightly less irritating than usual. Yes JLC is hot.

I thought arnold Schwarezeneger and Jamie Lee Curtis were a great pair in this movie. She did the mousy housewife turned bombshell very well. I guess they didn't know what they really had til their relationship was threatened. This movie is humorous, romantic, sophisticated and action packed.

The action was good but what made it for this movie was the humor.

I missed the film when it came out and finally got around to watching it. I don't quite understand the hype. There were some funny moments, but the writing was so bad and the characters, plot, and lines so contrived and cliche I just couldn't get into it. It was on HBO, and I turned it off about an hour into it. Maybe I'd have given it 3 stars just for basic action entertainment value, but even the chase scenes were drawn out without any surprises. Hint: in an action movie where a chase scene is more than 20 minutes before the end, any chase scene more than 2 minutes long is going to result in the suspect escaping. The punch line was somewhat clever with the horse, and I found brief hope in some entertainment value in the movie, but then the plot trailed off into a subplot involving a used car salesman hitting on the Schwarzenegger character's wife pretending to be a secret agent - oh gee, what irony! I found my intelligence insulted so profoundly by the interrogation of the wife scene... Read more

This movie is shown about 50 million times a year where I live. Practically every week when I turn on the tv there it is-True lies. I suppose its because its a really good movie. The first time I watched it, it was thrillling, but after the third time the novelty started to wear off. Still, a good first time movie.

Released in 1994 and directed by James Cameron, True Lies is a completely over the top spy thriller/comedy. For the uninitiated, the story surrounds super secret agents Harry Tasker (Arnold Schwarzenegger) who handles all the grunt work and Albert Gib Gibson (Tom Arnold) who handles the tech and support side of the duo's operations. The two get assigned to recover stolen nuclear warheads from a Middle Eastern terrorist group. As a subplot, Tasker's ignored wife Helen (Jamie Lee Curtis) thinks that Harry is a simple computer salesman and wishes for a more exciting life, resulting in her getting duped by a salesman who claims that he is a spy (Bill Paxton). The supporting cast of actors include sexy Tia Carrere who plays the legitimate front for the terrorists. The film is so extreme and relies so heavily on comedy, that the movie becomes almost a satire of the action genre which is just fine. While Schwarzenegger fits the typical mold, the movie was made by Tom Arnold and Bill Pax... Read more

With an all-star cast, this film definately delivered. I always enjoy watching this film- a great mix of action and coemdy. Tom Arnold and Arnold Schwarzenneger had a very unique chemistry, and I thought that Tom Arnold did a wonderful job as the wisecracking annoying sidekick. I espescially like his line at the end: "I'm sick of sitting in the van....". Jamie Lee Curtis also gave a great performance as Schwarzenegger's clueless, naiive, shy wife. I love the way she makes the transition from good little housewife to "bad girl" in her notorious dance scene. That scene was both hilarious and sexy. I reccomend this film to anyone who is a fan of Jamie Lee Curtis or Schwarzenneger, or if you're just looking for a funny as hell action flick.

What an action movie should be. Quite long but you always want to know what happens next so it is okay. Exactly the right amount of comedy , plenty of action and Tom Arnold was brilliant as the annoying sidekick to Arnie.

Completly unbelievable. Could this be why it is called TRUE LIES? For the lie to be a 'good lie', it has to be a BELIEVABLE LIE. This film was neither. IT was not believable, and was not good.

This is not the best movie ever to come out, but Jamie Lee Curtis was so funny in this that I laughed to whole time. Tom Arnold and Arnie were like old buddies that looked out for eachother since they were little. I really loved this movie not because it had meaning, just because it was funny and it the plot was excellent! Whoever thought that screenplay up, was really using thier head.

True Lies is an early 1990's action film starring Arnold Scwartzengger and Jamie Lee Curtis. It is directed by James Cameron, most famous for directing such hits as Titanic. It was visually well done and has some cool scenes in it.

I liked the action. I liked how it had lots of mission and the "what if's" when your family gets mixed up with your spy work. And I like the ending.

This was one great movie. Arnold really makes this movie. But Hunt isn't so attractive, so that should have been changed.

The best thing about this movie is that it knows not to take itself too seriously and makes no attempt to at any point.Arnie is allowed quite a few comedy moments (in between acting as a nemesis to every bad guy he comes across) that don't tax his acting ability, and there was good chemistry between Arnie & his wisecracking sidekick played by Tom Arnold. The rest of the cast obviously enjoyed it (Bill Paxton as the dweeby car salesman was inspired!) & Jamie Lee does well playing the transition from dowdy secretary to kick-ass babe.As expected from a Cameron film the action sequences are all impressive & inventive and the film succeeds in keeping your attention from the start.Just think James Bond with knobs on, and remember to substitute cheesy Arab villians for the usual cheesy Russian villians.

Arnold, although a bad actor, has a humorous quality and I enjoy watching him. I liked the action sequences and the story line. More Arnold one liners.

This movie kicked ass! I have seen it like 50 times. It's sooo cheesy and predictable but it's totally cool and it's just really good and exciting, and Arnold is kinda' sexy and his wifey kicks ass. Good movie, everybody should see it.

Even though this was not the best action movie out on the market, Tia Carrera made the movie look good. Too bad she had to die at the end of the movie (what a sad moment). They should have had Arnold Schwarzenneger save her.

True Lies was a good action movie and Arnold Schwarzenneger is a good character who plays an undercover agent that is a good guy. That's why I like this movie because it has comedy and a good plot.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is a good actor. I like him because he went from man of the universe to a very action packed actor who makes movies very exciting and thrilling.

I thought this movie sucked. The plot was good, but the actors took away from it. The plot was forgotten when Arnold Schwarzenneger started to blow up everything, and your focus went from terrorist to just pure destruction. And the special effects could have been a lot better than they were.

Not only is it a thriller, but it's also for families. My younger siblings loved it. Great for families. Just enough action, comedy and love story. Almost a chick flick.

I did not like this movie. I thought that it played as a shoot-em-up type movie with no real storyline. I think that the lead actor could have been casted better.

This movie was an original. The fact that Arnold was a secret agent and his wife didn't know about it made the movie hillarious, especially when they were on a mission together. I loved this movie and it was one of my favorites.

One of Arnold's best movies. The movie rocks, but gets a 4 because it doesn't compare to Terminator 2. But it is a close second.

Formulaic and boring. I found it sad that Jamie Lee Curtis felt it necessary to do the strip tease scene. She is smart actress and I think it was too bad she felt the only way to revive her career was to exploit her body. It didn't add anything to the movie aside from gratifying the loser horndogs, that's what porn is for.

This was a surprisingly good action flick. Arnold and Jamie Lee Curtis worked well together and there were some incredible action sequences. The best aspect of the movie, however, was probably the performance by Tom Arnold. He was excellent.

As I recall this movie, I remember that this was more of a comedy than a thrill movie. The adventures that Arnold's wife (in the movie) where so exaggerate!!! Like the time that she had to appear to be a prostitute and actually danced for her husband.

I think anyone who really enjoys Arnolds films has to admit that they go into them expecting a certain level of Hokiness (sp?) just in the sense that you have to realize it's going to be unbelievable and if that's going to be a big hang up for you then you just shouldn't take the time out of your day to watch it. True Lies was certainly no different in terms of the stuff he pulls off in the face of tremendous odds but I gotta say I think Arnold has really come a long way in his acting ability over the years not just in terms of actually speaking clearly enough to be heard but his expressions and timing and his ability to realize he's a big goon to some extent and use that to his advantage and laugh at himself. I also think this was true in Kindergarten Cop which (I don't care what anyone says) I also liked. And just for the record I think Bill Paxton plays the sex crazed, wanna be spy, loser man to a capital T.

True Lies was very unexpectedly excellent. I don't like Arnold but I think he did an AWESOME job and Jamie lee Curtis, for an old woman she has a great body.
