this is a cute site if you're out of ideas for your next family vacation. It'll help you decide where to go as if by magic suggesting places that you are suited to you. I told the site i was into shopping and food and it came up with some very interesting destinations that i don't think i would have got to on my own accord. some other nice extras here like help figuring out costs for different places and planning when to go.

Personalised travel recommendations and flight comparison tools for the indecisive traveler. Figure out what sort of things you are looking for in a trip and tripbase will punch out some wacky ideas of where in the world you might enjoy to travel to. Masai Mara or Iceland anyone? The flight comparison tool is good way to hunt down the best deals on the Net without having to spend hours on scores of different sites.

Must visit this travel site for travel recommendations, cheap flights and other cool travel stuff. Nice personalized ideas of countries to visit as well as useful tools like an online planner for road trips. You can also figure out how much money you're likely to spend in destinations across the world as well as predict what the weather is likely to be like at certain times of the year.

Good site for comparing flight prices. One click and lots of windows will pop on on your screen with different flight options. Click through to find the cheapest deal and book. quicker than visiting each site individually and there is some good destination information here as well as useful tools like weather, currency and costs tools.

Nice site for avid travelers looking for a good deal online. Put in your dates, destination etc. and this site will pop up with a selection of boxes linking through to different sites where you can find the best deals for what you're looking for. Have a skim click through to the best price and you'll save yourself hours of painful searching online to find a good price for your flight. some other nice tools on this site that i haven't seen to much in the travel sphere like the average cost per day tool and some handy weather tools to help you avoid rainy vacations!

Nice to come across a travel site with a relatively original concept - brainstorming ideas of where to travel to next. the process is simple - you punch in your criteria (which can be something as basic as somewhere hot with good shopping), wait just a second or 2 and you'll be presented with a personalized list of places where you might like to head to. take a good look at the list as it will say something about you! shopoholic / foodie fanatic / bohemian europeaphile!! it's a fun exercise to play around with and you might just learn something about yourself in the process!

If you a travel nut like me then you'll love this site. here's how it works, you punch in some of the things you like to do, if you want hot weather, cold weather, skiing, casinos etc.. etc... And magically the website will tell you where in the world is a good destination match for you. great for brainstorming trip ideas with family and friends. There are some other interesting features on the site that you should also check out. don't expect whizzy graphics but give tripbase a go and see where it sends you.

A nice site geared towards helping you to make better vacation decisions. Tripbase.com works like this - enter in your vacation criteria, the sort of things you like to do etc.. and some other info like whether you'd like hot weather or cold weather etc. then you'll get a bunch of recommendations of places you might like to travel to that specifically suit your needs. On the less practical side of travel planning but this site can be helpful at the very early stages of travel planning to brainstorm some more 'out there' vacation ideas that may never have popped into your head otherwise. my recommendation would be to give it a go, you never know where you might end up.

This site got recommended to me by one of my travelholic buddies! If you're not sure where to head to on your next vacation this site is designed to come up with helpful suggestions of places to visit in the world suited to your personal profile. The technology is fast - recommendations pop up in just a few seconds and the idea is neat. Design and functionality could be improved in some areas. Good travel widgets and other online tools.

I came across tripbase through the 7 links project that is being featured on many of the travel blogs that i follow. I hadn't seen the website before and I was pleasantly surprised by what I found. In addition to the same kind of vacation inspiration that you'll d=find on sites like Uptake etc.. there were some really useful features here that I'll highlight. Firstly, the cost per day widget is genius for helping you calculate a max and min spending budget for your trip. The car trip helper is also a handy help for planning road trips from your home town or from a base somewhere else in the world. Branding and design could be more polished but this site is not trying to be the bells and whistles that you will find elsewhere on the www!

An interesting travel site to add to your bookmarks. Check in with this site if you're not sure where to go on your next trip. The technology behind the site is pretty smart - it has a think and then spits out recommendations of where it thinks you should go on your next vacation. It suggested I take a trip to the Caribbean and you can't argue with that!

i love finding new travel sites and this one is worth taking a look at. there are a few good features worth noting - firstly fun vacation ideas depending on what sort of things you like to do. the cost per day app is really useful for figuring out which destinations are out of budget - info that is difficult to find elsewhere. the road trip helper is a nice tool too as it helps you to figure out driving distances and costs for road trips across the world - again info that i haven't come across anywhere else on the web. the actual look and feel of the site could do with a re-vamp but hey, nobody;s perfect...

Great site, helped me find a few great ideas for my summer vacation. I ended up going to Morocco and had a great time. I had a bit of a hard time booking my flights, but all in all it was a good experience. I will use it again before I go skiing this winter.

Tripbase.com is an interesting site, based on a different concept from most of the other travel sites around. rather than asking the user to enter in your destination, dates etc... this site asks you what things you like and suggests places in the world that you might like to visit. you can also compare flight rates across several different websites but this is not the main function of the site. another cool feature is the cost per day widget that gives you an idea of how much money you'll need on varying types of budgets for your chosen destination. tripbase might not look so pretty but it's worth checking out if you're not sure where to head to on your next trip.

I found tripbase thanks to you guys' reviews - thanks! I've come across some of these personalized travel sites before and I really like Uptake.com. Tripbase is slightly different - they have the road trip planner which is pretty unique as you can actually find cool places to visit as little as a 30 minute drive from your house. You'll also get some nice ideas of places to go in the world that may never have crosses your mind - south korea, taiwan, laos there's a lot of asia left for me to explore. in my opinion the design needs an update but the search function is really fast and works pretty well so i guess that's what really counts. here's the url: www.tripbase.com

10 out of 10 great site http://www.tripbase.com/ Loved the personal angle to travel ideas, haven't come across anything like this before. The site tells you where to head to in the world according to the things you like to to be that sightseeing, eating or even gambling! I got some interesting ideas back for some continents that I have not yet conquered - Asia and Africa! The interface is pretty simple, no whistles and bells this is probably a relatively new site but the content is good which is the main thing. Some other useful features are the cost per day calculator which estimates how much money you are likely to spend per day in different parts of the world. The road trip planner is also very handy for working out distances / info for potential road trip destinations.

Interesting travel site worth checking out: www.tripbase.com If you're not sure where to go for your next vacation the creators of this site want to help you by providing a cool search function that generates travel recommendations tailored to your personal preferences. So basically different places in the world to match up with the things you like to do when you travel ie. shopping, sightseeing, eating - all the usual stuff but it's interesting to see where comes up. I got some pretty obscure places so fiddling around with this site can be a lot of fun - Masai Mara I'm coming as soon as i can!

I travel a lot and am often on the lookout for new sites to help me find the best deals. This one is slightly different as it's less about flight rates and more about destinations. How do you choose where to go in the first place? I usually get recommendations from friends and family but it's nice to get some online suggestions too. Basically you enter in the type of things you like to do like sightseeing and dining and the site produces a list of places in the world that you might like to visit. You can have a lot of fun playing around with the different fields and seeing where the site recommends for you. Give it a go, you might just find yourself in timbuktu!

This travel site is relatively under the radar. i had not heard of it before but came across it from stumbleupon from an article on their blog. basically you type in the sort of things to do and the site helps you decide where you should travel to. it's mostly city destinations that come up so you won't find obscure hidden spots but it's an interesting exercise to expand your mind to consider regions and countries that never would have popped into your mind. for example, i am totally sold on checking out the pyramids in egypt and morroco sounds like it could be right up my street too.

Here's another review for Tripbase.com I agree with a lot of what is written here - it's a nice site with an interesting niche - vacation ideas rather than just info and flights etc.. Something else I wanted to add and that's that I saw a super project on the site - free travel e-books and the company donates money to charity for every download. A good way of doing something to help others less fortunate and all it takes is a few clicks. here's the link: http://www.tripbase.com/travelsecrets/download.do

If you love to travel then this is a good review for you. I am always looking for more blogs and sites to add to my reader and I came across this great site of travel awards. There are 1000's of travel blogs here catering for every kind of category. I went through the list and added loads to my reader: food, motor-cycling and even polar exploration and survival - there are some really wacky sites here, take a look: http://www.tripbase.com/d/awards/2011/

Nice site. This is a good place to start when you're thinking of going on away on a trip. Rather than searching for information on where you want to go, this site helps you make the decision of where to travel to in the first place. It generates loads of ideas of places to visit across the world - from asia to antarctica! Seriously, I fancy a trip to the North Pole - what fun! Site graphics are not massively advanced although I enjoyed looking through the photos for each place. The website address is www.tripbase.com

Cool travel site, check it out. www.tripbase.com Personalized recommendations depending on what sort of trip you're looking for. Flight comparison tool which is good for finding the best deal. My only feedback would be to add more info on different destinations so we can do more in one place, I get fed up of surfing around so many different sites when I want to find stuff out!

I am totally in love with tripbase. it is most definitely the coolest site i have come across, this week at least! I think i came across it on StumbleUpon from some article about magical places (nice pics)! Anyways, this site is super cool as it actually tells you where in the world is your perfect match (travel match not romantic match)! If you like shopping it might send you to New York, nature to new Zealand, sightseeing to Rome.... you get the picture! I thought it was a awesome and great for someone like me who is always looking to expand her travel horizons. The only thing i would say is that I think sites like kayak or expedia are better for when you come to book your actual flight but this is for sure a cool place to start. Web address is www.tripbase.com.

Have you seen the travel website tripbase - www.tripbase.com? I've seen a site like this before, it's really cool. Basically the site gives you ideas of the places in the world that are the most suited to you depending on what you like to do and what sort of vacation you're looking for. It's really fun, if you're into high dining it might send you to Paris or New York for example. There are also some really neat tools like the road trip feature and the travel horoscope which tells you where the stars are sending you - I love this stuff! Fun site - check it out.

My mom told me to check out Tripbase, she spends more time on the Internet than I do! (www.tripbase.com) This is a really clever site - basically it gives you recommendations of where to go on your next vacation based on you and what sort of things you like to do. It gave me loads of cool ideas of places to put on my bucket list including places that I would never have even thought of like San Francisco and Tokyo. My only criticism is that I would have liked to see more photos for each destination - preferably related to the things I like to do - I want to see where I'm going! If you click through to the blog section you'll also find some funny articles that made me laugh - like signs you're a travel addict and some beautiful photos too. If you enjoy surfing the Net for fun sites and you love to travel then check out this website and if you like it you can thank my mom!
