It takes place in a futuristic western-themed planet after ships, which managed to escape the ravaged ecosystem of Earth, crash land upon a deserted but livable new world. It's about Vash; a "Plant"; a humanoid creature, quite possibly immortal (if not aging really, reeeally slowly) but a complete and total pacifist. He manages to go the whole series without having to actually kill somebody - and still get away with being a legendary character among the Otaku "underground" (but really, can we even call it an underground sub-culture anymore??). He utilizes a special gun in fighting against his dangerous brother's lunatic shenanigans (aka basically wiping out the human race...yeah this guy's kinda nuts) and the shenanigans of his equally as lethal goons...all the while playing himself off as an adorable funny-guy that no one can really take seriously....similar to Kenshin. But not quiiiite. It's really something to look into if you're a big fan of sci-fi/action/humor/drama/suspense in... Read more

I can't even describe how much I love this show! It's got memorable characters, especially Kuroneko, the goofy black cat that's everywhere in the anime show.

Trigun is the best! I love Vash and especially Wolfwood. I'm not at the end yet, but I'm getting there, and it's been an awesome ride! If you have not see this show, I recommend you go get it...now. It's so cool and funny, I laughed out loud almost the entire time. Have fun.

It's not one of the best, but it's alright. Love and peace can only go so far, you know. It was a shame that a certain blue-eyed demon sexyness was gone for a while after meeting him, but the show, nonetheless, was wonderful, along with the instrumentals. It's a must see, no matter how annoying Vash is.

I love the plot and the ending is beautiful, but the love and peace thing, tears, and no killing is just pissing me off. Its ok to kill a few then to cry over it. Damn you Vash!

This is one where you can love all the characters but they lead a little bait into Vash's past but they don't go deep enough into it to see what he's seen over the years.

Another fine import from across the big pond. A bit complicated in the plotline, but engaging and entertaining.

The plot is fantastic and fascinating. The dialogue/translation is much better than the dreaded nonsensicalities of Gundam Wing, and the message is quite clear. And the humor is somewhat revolutionary among anime with Vash always (at least initialy) in a happy go lucky mood, even when hes being shot at. Quite hilarious.

Trigun is a wonderful show. Many plot twists and surprizes along the way. Vash the Stampede (the main character) is a funny, handsome guy with a great shot. Troubled by his past, he must keep moving with a bounty of $60 billion double dollars.

I had the distinct pleasure of watching all the Trigun episodes and I couldn't help but feel a liking for this gem. Vash the Stampede is a peace loving cowboy who seems like such as wussy nerd that at first no-one can believe he is who he claims. His main passions include preserving human life and doughnuts (me too!). His amigos include the upbeat (and large) Millie, the shy yet dutiful Meryl and of course Wolfwood. The series has some great music (especially the rocking theme song and the later Sax solos) and remains at an above average standard of animation throughout (the final episode particularly). The thing I like best about this anime is Vashs morals and the way he always has to face them whilst making decisions. Anyone feeling torn between hatred and idealism should understand. The story is well paced and the comedy is actually really funny. Visuals are really intuitive as well though the various towns look a little repetitive. Overall, Highly reccomended.

Very funny and with excellent character design. Gotta love Vash's trenchcoat. Bah to what the guys that run Adult Swim say about the coat! It is god! J/K. ^_^ Vash is probably my favorite character. He can be funny, clueless, a total perv and womanizer, but then he can be deadly and other such things that are related with badasses, yet he remains pure at heart. What happens to Wolfwood near the end sort of chokes me up...I felt so sorry for Millie, especially after...well, you know... ^_~

I had never been a big fan of anime or manga. Then I watched Trigun. One of the few really funny animes that also keeps a good dose of action in it. I loved it from the start and continue to love it to this day. I REALLY love the little black cat in it, KuroNeko.

I love Trigun. Great combination of humor and action. Very refreshing to see an anime that was soley about adult characters and didn't rely on having women/girls in skimpy outfits to titilate viewers. Not that there's anything wrong with women in skimpy outfits...
