Tue Mar 02 2010Hi There, back for another review... This is an interesting movie from a number of points. I've watched this movie with several people at different times and the reviews are usually good to great. I wondered why one movie could be seen so differently by so many people. If you look at the multitude of "Top 10 Gay Themed Movies" that are all over the internet, this one is either in the top ten or doesn't even make the top 50. Like the people I've seen this movie with it tends to be on polar opposite ends of movie lists and I began to wonder why. A little about the movie... A young musical play write still schooling in his craft, feeling lonely, decides to go to a club. There he sees one of the "go go boys" dancing. They make brief eye contact and then the story starts to unfold. Through a couple events they end up trying to get together for the night for a "one night stand" (thus the movie's name "Trick"). Tue Oct 07 2003I wanted to like this movie more than I actually did. Too plodding for the most part. John Paul Pitoc is pretty good but he can't escape the dull screenplay. The other main character is so indecisive that he becomes annoying. Tori Spelling is her usual awful self. I think we can blame the casting director and the screenwriter for this one.
