GREAT NEWS UPDATE!!! good news- TRANSFORMERS 3D began pre production in october 2009, and will start to be made in may 2010!! and will be released NEXT YEAR!! and the best good news, the writers who practicaly messed up TRANSFORMERS REVENGE OF THE FALLEN will NOT RETURN!!!!!!! :D same actors!! bad news- micheal bay will return to direct it. D; for more info go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transformers_2#Sequel and http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1399103/ http://moviesblog.mtv.com/2010/03/01/exclusive-transformers-3-bringing-back-core-mythology-with-shia-labeouf-and-megan-fox/ . it wasnt as good as the first one because of the antisipation of seeing them on the big screen for the first time, but its good fun, i for some strange reason understood the plotless plot, i have no problem with long movies, IT IS NOT RACIST because it just adds personality and is not saying black people are terrible (which is what everyone is saying that those 2 characters are stating) there is nothing wrong w... The typical formula for a sequel to an action flm is to take what worked from the previous outing and repeat it with just enough variation to make it seem fresh. Don't mess with too much and risk upsetting the built in audience that you achieved - the people who enjoyed the film the first time. In the case of Tranformers it was easy to repeat the formula, since there was very little character, plot, motivation and conclusin to begin with. I'm sure the producers are debating whether Megan Fox is worth her undoubtedly inflated asking price for a third film as we speak.

While watching Transformers 2, I could almost picture it in my mind. I could see Michael Bay, sitting in the editing room, mesmerized by all the footage that was shot, coupled with the mind-blowing special effects mixed in, overwhelmed by it all. I could almost hear his very thoughts at that moment: "I can't let any of this go." And so he didn't. Which means that what ended up on screen was the result of his inability to let a story be the guiding factor, and allowing his self indulgence to take over. All of that put together equals this: a nuclear explosion of unbelievable eye candy with almost no sign of a coherent storyline. It also equaled a movie that was, at the very least, 30 minutes too long. Very disappointing. I guess, though, that I'm to blame just as much as anyone else. I dropped 10 bucks down the drain faster than you can say Megatron. And by doing that, I guess I provided the justification that Bay needed for this sub-par mess. The idea that, as long as it looks neat, an... Read more

. . . I can't imagine that anyone is really expecting that much out of this film. SYNOPSIS: . . . instead of a plot, there's a whole bunch of explosions and big alien robots kicking the hell out of what I would presume are the asses of other big alien robots. PROS: . . . well, it looked cool . . . . CONS: The comedy was the "trying too hard" kind. Like the "Oh, moms are so awkward" thing. And the giant metal testicles. And a few little things humping a leg or each other. And I really, really could have done without the "Ghettobots" (Wheelie and Skids, twin Autobots that are so stereotypical that it's almost offensive. I mean, seriously, what's up with the gold tooth? That's just in poor taste). And, there's not much to expect from the acting, since LeBeouf is limited basically to screaming out "Bumblebeeeeeeeeeeee" or "Optimuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuus" half the time, and I guess they decided to save some time for Megan Fox by making the movie pretty much like one big covershoo...
