a 4.5. she is believable in all kinds of roles. she can disappear when she acts and be very convincing of any part she plays. good actress who is a great addition to any movie.  she was good in the Sixth Sense. charming and rooted for her in muriel's wedding. good as the serious learned to relax sister In her shoes. liked her in Little Miss Sunshine.

I overlook her moronic stands on PETA and animal rights and affirm that I really like her roles. I am amazed in her performance in Muriel's Wedding  where she gained forty pounds in seven weeks to play the role.   I can overlook goofy stands but not support of goofy politicians.

A very talented & beautiful actress. Very underated & underused by the film industry. A true star in every sense of the word!

Gives very subtle and believable performances. The queen of deadpan delivery (second only to Parker Posey). At her best in the underappreciated Clockwatchers.

Toni Collette is one of those Actresses that leaves no impression on me and shows very little potential. I could not believe her unconvincing role in The Sixth Sense as a single mother earned her an Oscar nomination. She's good at comedy(Muriel's Wedding), but anything else (Shaft anyone???) shes's just plain mediocre.

Toni rocks indeed! Very talented and versatile actress who is not afraid to look less-than-glam when the role requires it. Cases in point: Suicidal mum in About a Boy, and dumpy 'best friend' to Gwyneth's Emma. An actress worth of respect and kudos. Recently married (within the last year or so). Keep it coming, Toni!

I loved her in Muriel's Wedding. She really got my attention. And in the Sixth Sense, That was amazing that an Australian could pull off an American accent! Wow!

She may not be very well known, but she has had some excellent roles in some good movies, such as "The Sixth Sense," "Shaft," and "Changing Lanes." Ms. Collette is an extremely versatile actress, as she has shown in her vast array of diverse portrayals.

Toni Collete has what so many other actors lack -- true talent and the ability to play someone other than herself. Her ability to change her physical appearance as well as her accent, etc., makes her a treat to watch. Every time I know she's going to be in a film, I make sure I see it! (And I was pleasantly surprised to see her playing a small supporting role in "The Hours.") I hope she's given another lead role soon!

Decent actress who happened to catch the coat-tails of a massive hit(Sixth Sense), for which she capably played a rather undemanding role. Udder subsequent roles have also been less-than impressive. Needs a good quality lead to establish herself as a major force in the Industry. Has a winning smile and very nice gams! ;=8)

I've only seen her in 'Muriels Wedding' and 'The Sixth Sense' and I thought she was great in both. These two roles are totally different from eachother as were the films which show great diversity in Toni's acting skills. She was hilarious in Muriels Wedding and very convincing as the worried, distressed mother in Sixth Sense. I would love to see her in other films. Good luck Toni and keep up the good work!

Argh I can't believe how low on the list Toni is! She's AMAZINGLY talented, her roles are always believable, her characters have depth and humanity. She's attractive but I guess she hasn't gone far in Hollywood because she just isn't generic enough.

Toni Collete is probably one of the best actresses to come out of Australia in recent history (Rachel Griffiths being another one). She was amazing in "The Sixth Sense" and she spoke like a genuine Philly girl effortlessly. In "Velvet Goldmine", she spoke like an American with a phony British accent and you truly believed this woman WAS an American with a phony British accent! Sometimes, I think to myself that it must be illegal for one person to be so incredibly talented AND beautiful! To any fan out there: Catch her "Cosi" and be further amazed! I can't wait to see what she does in the years to come!

I think that Toni Collete overreacts in her one role as the mother in The Sixth Sense. It was the young boy who made the movie so good, and not her. She was extremly annoying and pushy in her role, and she needs to retire before she causes any other damage.

Toni appears to be a realist and a truly unique individual. Her grounded sense of self allows her to accurately portray a broad character range, where others may appear only as barbie dolls who are trying to act.

She reminds me of a New York East Coast toughgirl with a lot of interesting stories to tell. She seems like the kind of woman that I'd find myself arguing with often at a retail job, but then soon we'd end up dating, or even married. She has a realistic array about her that needs to be presented in Hollywood more often. Her abilities as an actress are stunning, gripping, almost fearful in the sense that she is one of those method actresses who really dives deep within her psyche and becomes the role at hand. As far as her physical appearance I find it mean, and welcoming. Some people might think that I'm sick, but I'm not I'm just honest, and I can honestly say that I like and appreciate difficult women, for me they're easier to get close to because they do the hunting. Her nose is sharp, yet comforting. Her lips are full and kissable. Her hips are a bit wide, but it's her and she is built perfect just the way she is. I'm glad that she is an actress in movies today. She does the Holl... Read more

Look at her in "Muriel's Wedding", "Velvet Goldmine", and "Sixth Sense". This is a stunning actress with unbelievable range. She will be around for a long time. P.S. Not to be judgemental, but anyone who rated her as "terrible" are complete morons and know nothing about acting.

I didn't care much for the movie but she was pretty good. I'm sure I recognize her from something else but can't recall it. Pretty good job with the accent for and Australian.

I don't remember anything else she was in, but she was great in Sixth Sense. A critical component of the movie was the relationship between the boy and his mom and I don't think anyone else could have pulled it off any better.

I was very impressed with her in Sixth Sense. I thought she did a very believable job in playing the harried, loving mother who was way too caught up in the day to day hassles of being a single, working mom to even begin to understand her unusual son.

Toni did a great job in Sixth Sense. I thought she was especially impressive in that last scene in the car, where her son tells her the story about her mother. Whether or not she's a one-hit wonder remains to be seen.
