Tom and Jerry

I heard somewhere that they have a parental advisory on the dvds for extreme violence.

I think they should make 100 more episodes.

Often quite hilarious. Always rooted for Tom...can only think of one or two episodes where he "won" in the end. :)

I like Tom and jerry it such a classic. it been on seen until toay its still on today tom alway chase jerry or hurts him and jerry does it back jerry has a little grey cousin and he also hurts tom when jerry is in trouble. same thing thing with tom he has 3 cat helpers toods the cat,grey cat and orange cat. they help him get jerry but jerry alway succecd by makking it worse for the cats.toods alway turns on tom too and the scary dog that tom is afraid of he runs away.

Great stuff. The ones from the forties are just great. None of this silly "What's up doc"  In fact no talking, just good sound effects and orchestra music. quality fun   any of the later stuff 70's 80's. . . sucks, and is an affront to all that is good and proper

The early made for the theater cartoons are excellent. The later ones made for television are a pale imitation of the cartoons made in the 1940's and 1950's.

Hilarious violence! Some of the ones made in the Sixties were side splitting. The expressions on the cat's face are priceless!

Anyone know if Tom ever "won" at the end and if so, how many times?

Truly one of my favorite cartoons growing up as a child.

What's always impressed me about this show is the implied violence, without any spoken words. I think this is cartoons at their finest, and I know I thoroughly enjoyed the show. :)

It's pretty obvious that this show got away with cartoon violence long before there were ground breaking shows like Happy Tree Friends. It was pretty funny. I always thought the mouce was mean I mean he got him kicked out of his home so many times it just lost flavor after a while.

This show is great and funny. All of their episodes they are fighting and Tom always want to catch or eat Jerry. Because they are enemy or nemesis. But I like this show and this show is great!

I just wanted Tom to catch the mouse and rip him apart.

Tom and Jerry are hilarious, I still find myself watching them everyday, almost laughing to death.

A timless classic thats funny as hell and no cartoon has beat this one yet.

You cannot even begin to describe how good tom and jerry is i never got bored of watching this not many cartoons can last 60 years and not get boring

A classic that came out ahead of its time (1940s)-but the one that was made during the 80s didn't quite capture the magic of the orignal.

Never missed an episode when I was a kid. One of my all time favorites.

You CAN'T skip this classic! This show is so funny! But violent...hey, violence is good at times!

there is hardly any talking and so i would get bored rather quickly with watching them.

the earlier cartoons were the best. the animation was better. Tom and Jerry could be funny. the ever battling cat and mouse.you could see especially the earlier ones were aimed all age groups.so it made it fun for adults to see too. Gosh Jerry the mouse even got to dance with Gene Kelly in Anchors Away.

For two guys to fight for as long as they did and never come to some kind of an agreement is classic. The only downside to Tom&Jerry; was how they used to caricature blacks. But then again, that was in the forties and fifties.

Although inferior to Looney Tunes, the Tom & Jerry shorts are bonafide classics. Most of them didn't need anything but great animation, clever writing, and a solid score to be hilariously funny.

One of my favorites ...I remember watching the reruns before going to school EVERY morning...I especially liked when they would have other little cartoons too aside from the usual Tom and Jerry antics. I thought the little mouse was soooo cute

The greatest cartoon ever. Now that I'm all grown up, I like watching this show even more. I pick up on things I didn't as a child. Man I'm sorry....

I used to love it when i was smaller,but now I just watch it when there is nothing else on tv.

The classics are great but the newer ones are the pits. When you see the old ones now it appears the they have made them P.C.

I think it is highly irritating how Jerry always wins and Tom always loses. In the real world, the cat would have gotten this mouse right away. But I guess it is a cartoon, just annoying is all. Never liked it. Alot like Road Runner.

Anybody except me notice that the eary "Tom and Jerry" now have a few scenes that have been altered. It seems like the "maid" in the early ones now sounds like Witch Hazel (a.k.a. voice actor June Foray) or Tweety's Granny from the Bugs Bunny Cartoons? Don't get me wrong and all, but I thought it was funny that that Chick from "Gone With the Wind" was working at the same house as Tom and Jerry were living in.

there isn't very much talking in this series, but the actions that the little mouse and the tomcat make say it all! this is a really funny one!!!

Repetitive, yes, Cliche', very. Violent, definately. Classic, ABSOLUTELY! It was cute, and though it was violent, I think that if you're not mature enough to watch tv and understand that it is just a cartoon and not to be emulated, then you shouldn't watch this. As with all cartoons, it was for entertainment purposes only, and should be taken as such. I'm glad that at least they switched up on occasion the "winner" of the day (Sometimes Tom was victorious, though not many times).

Very funny show. it may have a whole bunch of cartoon violense in it but who cares? not me. it's not real and it is not hurting anybody

It is really a funny show. And who cares about cartoon violence? Nobody takes any of that seriously!

Damn funny before they let all the talented people behind the scenes go.

This one is really good, if you like old cartoons that is.....

A decent cartoon show.I remember Tom & Jerry being a usual theater cartoon when the movie theaters showed cartoons before the films.The cat chasing mouse theme did get old,and the later cartoon of the 60's were really awful.

I get tired of watching them chase eachother in ever single episode.

This show is just a bunch of pointless violence and mindless slapstick (the obvious model for "Itchy & Scratchy"). Every episode is the virtually the same and is baded solely on the tired, old cat & mouse concept.
