Thu Aug 05 2010The worst martial arts experience I have ever had. This people will try to rip you off as much as they can, because this is the only way they can make money. The trainers are unprofessional and pathetic. Just the fact you can get belts every few months tells me everything about this place. They are there to do business (not train you) and get money from you with any possible way. NEVER GO THERE.

Fri May 28 2010Please do not go here! Do not sign a contract. They are a rip off company and are only in it for the money, and you don’t find this out until you start class. They put undue pressure on you to sign a long-term contract, and there is no way out. Please read the other reviews. I wish I did, as now I’m stuck for a long time. Robert

Tue Apr 20 2010The neighborhood is horrible and it seems like the owners are gangsters because of how they do their sales. They pressure you into contracts that are impossible to break. Read the contract thoroughly because it has a lot of very sketchy parts. They make you think there are only 1 and 2 year contracts but once they told BBB that they DO have monthly contracts. They lie and cheat and never answer your calls when you have inquiries. Master Kim lies all the time and when you ask him something he makes you feel ignorant and talks to you like you are his servant. Everyone there is scared of him, specially the instructors!!! It is not a good environment and it is NOT worth your money.

Sun Apr 04 2010When it comes to studying martial arts, Tiger Kim's Academy is the real deal. Tiger Kim's Academy offers its students an authentic and disciplined approach to studying Korean martial arts styles including Taekwondo, Tang Soo Do, Hapkido and general self defense. There are few martial arts schools in Denver that can offer the depth of instruction available at Tiger Kim's Academy from so many experienced and accomplished black belts that the school has produced over the past 34 years. I also appreciate the school's emphasis on family values, and the opportunity to train together as a family as there are very few sports where parents can work out right beside their kids. This is not a rare occurrence at Tiger Kim's Academy, but in fact, there are many families studying martial arts together at the school. My daughter and I started attending Tiger Kim's Academy three years ago as white belts, and now have both achieved the rank of red belts, and at our own pace hope to achieve our blac... Read more

Wed Jun 17 2009"This place is a complete JOKE. The training they provide is substandard and not worth the money. They WILL use BUNK sales presentations and misrepresent the products and services that they provide; and they do this all in the name of MONEY. They will often fail to disclose certain information regarding the contracts that they utilize, even if you ask them. They will in some instances use high pressure sales tactics to try and get you to sign a 2 year contract as opposed to a contract with a short term. Be very weary of Sung Kim he will do everything within his power to deceive and misguide you into believing that they are the BEST Tae Kwon Do studio that Denver has to offer. Don't be fooled though...do you homework and you will find BETTER academy's that have genuine interests in their students. Tiger Kim's Academy's mission statement should be "we will promise you the world...then we'll lie to you & take your money. DISHONESTY RULES!!!! Don't waste your valuable time and money with t... Tue May 26 2009When I asked more about the contract they wouldn´t explain to me in detail. Instead he asked me if I was a student and when I responded YES .. he said = well IT´S SIMPLE ENGLISH. Very disrespectful attitude when the customer is only asking to clarify what some of the items in the contract mean. When I signed the contract ... I wanted to cancel it before the 3 days that the contract states that it´s possible to do so but the Master wouldn´t listen to what I had to say and tried to hang up as soon as possible, telling me I should show up next week. He ignored my request to talk more about the contract and thus I was forced to see him to cancel my contract after the 3 days. Now APPARENTLY I cannot cancel it because he totally ignored my request to see him. There´s no understanding on their side and I don´t recommend anyone to join. There must be great academys out there that will not try to steal from you by ignoring your calls and concerns.

Tue Mar 24 2009This guy really must be stupid, they helped me in every way. They let me try on all the uniforms, different sizes as well.. And they got a great selection of martial arts goods. They have been there for years if you haven't been you need to go. Did I mention they have a discount program for frequent buyers... Well this is my opinion but you just don't avoid a movie a friend says is bad and you just end up enjoying it instead?

Tue Jan 27 2009I purchased a uniform that was at least 3 sizes to big for the biggest person in the world. Tiger would not return the money when I returned the item. The store has a few items of general use, shorts, Gi... Everything else is a curio item, a trinket. He refuses to return the money. Is this the way to build customers, especially from other gym owners. You decide!
