My parents, for some reason, were big fans of this guy, and we went to see him in concert not once but twice when I was about nine. I remember he sang this and a bunch of other things, all of which were semi-incomprehensible to me. Still, a catchy song, and somehow it seems to have stuck with me for four decades. Not that I sing it, but I certainly remember most of the words. I have a little trouble with the scale of terrible to great on a list of novelty songs. By their very nature, novelty songs can never be "great" in my opinion, except by comparison with other, even worse novelty songs.

Maybe not quite "terrible" if you're hearing it at the age of nine.

I always liked this song about the old Australian stockman who is dying and leaves a lot of Aussie peculiar requests. I don't remember what he said about dingoes, since the song is at least forty years old, but I hoped he breathed "fire and brimstone" on them!

a fun novelty song from around the sixties. I think I even have a copy on 45. just a silly song from Australia. a harmless one kids could sing around a campfire. with silly lyrics.

I'm not familiar with it but I like the title.
