Through your skin is absolutly amazing, now that i have been there i don't want togo anywhere else! Kristy is AWESOME!! she helped me and my sister out so much and she is really cool and down to earth. i would recommend this tattoo shop to everyone, its very chill ad laid back, it has a really nice ora to it and as soon as you walk in you just feel comfortable. I walked in there for a foot tattoo and walked out with getting that dont and a couple touch ups for me and my sister. This is definitally the place to go in LA, you WONT be disappointed!

I found this shop by searching "female piercers in Los Angeles" and no matter how i typed it this place came up first every time! And I'm glad it did. Kristi was super nice and gentle. I would go back here for any other piercings I plan to get in the future and recommend to anyone!

Kristi has been my piercer for the last four years and has done a fantastic job on everything she's pierced. She just recently did my dermal and it looks amazing! I've been to a lot of places before I found her, and now I don't want anyone else piercing me. She makes me feel comfortable and takes her time. I recommend this place highly!

I have never gotten anything but my ears pierced and decided that what I really needed in my life was a vertical hood piercing. I had other reasons than the aesthetics for this process. You should look up all the "perks" of this type of piercing - I won't go into those details on this site. I went into the shop just to inquire about the procedure and spoke with Kristi - a lovely and warm-hearted woman who gave me all the information I asked for. In the end, I wound up getting the nerve, called and made an appointment. Although I was nervous, she was was really helpful. She was right on time - I didn't have to wait and talk myself out of it. She made the entire procedure as calming and as painless as possible. She talked me through the whole thing, so there were no surprise "ouches" that I wasn't on notice for. First moment I went in I was greeted and taken care of. I had a appointment for Jeremy Lee, tattoo artist, and he did a excellent job. They are friendly and have a no pressure attitude. They make you feel comfortable and prices are reasonable. You get great quality work for an affordable budget. The shop is clean with sanitary and safe tattoo and piercing equipment. I highly recommend this place for any first timers or tattoo lovers.

Melrose is definitely the place to go for a great time!!! I spent the day shopping and having lunch so I figured it was time to go and get a tattoo. There are a handful of tattoo shops down there, but after visiting a few, I found myself right at home with the guys over at Through Your Skin!!! I had a great time you guys (Mark and Thick are hilarious!!! what was the name of your band?) I will be back for more ASAP!!!!

I can't wait to get my tattoo!!! I was referred by a friend who has been getting a sleeve done by Mark Dupp, who is one of the most talented tattoo artists I have ever come across!!! and he is right down the street from my house!!! I made my appointment but I can barely wait! the tattoo he was working on when I went in blew my mind!!! I didn't even know tattoos could look like that!!! everyone at the shop was really friendly unlike most tattoo shops I have been to. I am so excited to get started on my sleeve!!!

I went in to the shop a few days ago and got some of the cleanest script lettering from a super awesome guy named Jeremy, thanks so much Jeremy!!! I won't go anywhere else again!!! I highly recommend going to this shop for the friendly atmosphere, cleanliness and most importantly top notch tattoo work!!!!

I got my nipples pierced by Kristy a couple of weeks ago, and it was so fun!! I have to admit, I was afraid that having some pretty tattooed girl pierce me was kind of intimidating, her and her crew of bad a$$ tattoo artists might laugh at me for not being able to handle the pain, but it was very much the opposite experience!!! I got my piercings and took it like a champ, and got to hang out and see a lot of incredible tattoo work and the shop was overflowing with their friends, clients, and tourists!!! Melrose is definitely one of the coolest places to hang out in Los Angeles and Hollywood!!! Thanks again Kristy!!! I will be back for something else.....

these guys (and gal :D ) are great! such a rad shop! everything is clean and professional and they know what they're doing! they're super friendly with customers and in a great location.

this is a great shop! the staff is friendly and professional, and the quality of their work is amazing. the shop has a huge jewelry selection. i've been pierced three times here and tattooed once, and every time i have had a good experience.

I was pleasantly surprised to find a new tattoo shop for myself this weekend that I can happily say is the only place I would go to get another tattoo. Who knew that melrose would be the place!! My girlfriend wanted to get some new belly button jewelry, so we went in through your skin. while I was in there the tattoo artist Jeremy was rockin out an amazing japanese demon tattoo, I knew then and there he was going to my next piece! a sleeve!!!! then I was lucky enough to be able to talk to him and meet him and what a nice dude!!! I better start saving so I can get my next piece started!!!

i talked to a artist about getting some script writing on my arms in memory of my loved ones...he was very understanding and designed me an absolute amazing tattoo.. he did a great job and i have refered all my friends and family...definatly the place to get a good tattoo...cool part of town as well..plent of places to eat and go shoping..

this place makes you feel like your at home.. totally loving and fun people ! you get a good vibe when you walk in. this place is the best.. i got my bellybutton pierced and it was awesome.

This place is the best piercing/tattoo parlor that exists. I recently got my lip pierced there and I was so incredibly nervous. The lady did my piercing was so nice and relaxed and gently explained everything. I'm a real wimp when it comes to pain and they did tell me it would sting, but it was truly painless! My cartilage piercing at Claire's was much more painful. The piercer did it so smoothly and so fast, and also told some funny stories WHILE she was doing the piercing. The place is really clean and has a cute 40s pinup girl theme and really cool furniture. The prices were pretty good, but I would have paid even more because the service is so amazing. I recommend Through Your Skin to anybody and everybody: the piercings are so fast, the staff is really nice, they offer great jewelery and its really convenient!

I really wanted to get my belly pierced the day I found ?Through Your Skin? after I had already been to another crappy place on Melrose with my friend earlier in the day that sucked pretty badly where the guys were rude and perverted. Through Your Skin is very professional. The shop was sleek and nice. ?Kristie? the lady who pierced me could not have been cooler and very professional she answered every one of my questions (and I had quite a few) with a smile. They made me feel so comfortable and everything they used was clean and safe. Even the dude at the counter helped answer some questions and was so cool and professional which I did really appreciate. THANKS AGAIN YOU GUYS ROCK SO HARD I LOVE THE PIERCING!

I got my lobe pierced and my friend got her navel pierced, both went really quick and barely hurt at all, i will definitely go to this place again. Nice, clean environment, you will feel comfortable here.

through your skin body piercing is by far the best piercing spot you can go into..the owner is a very nice lady with years of expirience...she makes you feel comfortable and fun to talk to..very painless piercings as well..i have lot of piercings from there and i am definetly going back for more..plus a great section of jewelry..
