Fri Feb 26 2010I read The System because of its dedication to high quality textures and 3D Colored Lighting. Truly, it should be a benchmark for the entire community.

Fri Oct 09 2009Decently good. Has a nice touch of irony, humor and shock value in nearly all of its comics. A very good comic, but can sometimes lose its humor. Its very simplistic design - with a similar look as caution roadsigns we all see - adds to its irony and humor.

Tue Jun 23 2009Being a graphic design student, this comic is intriguing to me, the use of icons to depict all the props and characters and environment is certainly a unique feature for a webcomic. Still, wish such a simple idea, there's a great bit of comedy and lots of thought put into each comic, ,or so it seems, and the fact tat it's regularly updated on business days is rather impressive. I'm thankful for the effort put into keeping us Systemics happy.

Fri Jun 19 2009Wonderful webcomic but it has been hit or miss lately. Most of the comics are hilarious and then there are some your like "heh?" but with that aside, I would recommend to anyone to start reading this comic. It is actually good. make sure you check back every day cause there really is no set posting schedule.

Wed Jun 17 2009Absolutely hilarious take on living in today's world. The skewed view of the working as a graphic designer is funny to people who work in this field and/or anyone who has worked in an office. Couple this with the outright absurdity and the creativity of the jokes and you get a winning combination.

Wed Jun 17 2009The System is the only thing that gets me through the day. As an office worker, this comic really speaks to me in that little voice in the back of my head that silently screams out in frustration at the stupidity of my co-workers and especially my superiors. If you're looking for off-the-wall office humor with some typeface puns along the way, The System is for you. If you aren't looking for that, well, The System is still for you.

Wed Jun 17 2009The wittiness of The System makes its simplicity truly genious. I really look forward to the jokes about cycling, office culture, graphic design and life in "the system" every day. I'm an avid cyclist, so being able to read the strip and say, "Oh my gosh, yes! I totally experience that, too!" is priceless. The blog contains really funny material, as well, and is worth the read. Especially if you enjoy funny uses of those block guys from warning signage!

Wed Jun 17 2009The System transforms informative societal icons into emoting characters who crack me up! I love the depiction of true-to-life situations I often find myself in, including the characters being annoyed by said situations (I imagine a lot of eye rolling). The comedic timing is always spot on. Its great when there is an element fantasy ridiculous (tractor jumping) to contrast the overall dry witticisms. As a web comic, I love being able to pick it up any where in the series. I would purchase panels printed on any number of merchandise products vis-a-vie shirts, hats, stationary, posters. I'll never look at street signs the same way again!

Tue Jun 16 2009The System is my daily repository for all the ideas I don't know what else to do with. It is built on two addages: 1.Less is more. 2. Experiment within the rules set forth by the style as much as possible. In the past year of writing The System and managing the website, it has been a great part of my routine. The readers (known as Systemics) frequently comment on the site, and also frequently submit content that I make sure finds its way onto the site. If you're checking it out for the first time, I recommend checking out a few comics from the archive to get you started. Enjoy! http://www.notquitewrong.com/rosscottinc/2008/12/18 /the-system-113/ http://www.notquitewrong.com/rosscottinc/2009/01/06 /the-system-124/ http://www.notquitewrong.com/rosscottinc/2008/07/30 /the-system-20/

Fri Jun 12 2009The System gives soul, humor and heart to the world of universal symbols that we see on signs we see around the world directing traffic, telling us where to poop, and which airport terminal we were supposed to find. This webcomic has a bunch of my All Time Favorite Strips among its archives. The humor and writing is is a unique, best described as a somewhat geeky combination of truisms, inner commentary and non sequitur. A few favorites: http://www.notquitewrong.com/rosscottinc/2009/01/21 /the-system-135/ http://www.notquitewrong.com/rosscottinc/2009/05/21 /the-system-214/
