Wed Aug 10 2011It's time to face the fact that our so-called "Representatives" are so busy tonguing the collective anus of the Wealthiest minority/Corporate Oligarchy that the Middle Class will shrink into poverty pretty quickly unless there is a RADICAL,& I do mean radical, change. UPDATE : I'd like to include this well written article : 545 vs. 300,000,000 People -By Charlie Reese Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems and then campaign against them. Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits? Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes? You and I don't propose a federal budget. The President does. You and I don't have the Constitutional authority to vote on appropriations. The House of Representatives does. You and I don't write the tax code, Congress does. You and I don't set fiscal policy, Congress does. You and I d... Read more

Tue Aug 09 2011Remember, folks, that Standard and Poors (along with Moody's and that other guy) were the ones who gave Franklin Raines and his buddies at Fannie Mae a AAA rating at the height of the subprime mortgage crisis. Remember that? Well, now they've downgraded the U.S.'s credit rating below that of most EU countries AND the Isle of Man. So, you gotta ask the question: "Why?" Really..."Why?" How many people reading this could have afforded to get rich(er) buying those distressed properties while they were at bargain basement prices? The answer is those wealthy enough to cash-in on that fire sale, and those with waiting power. Now that that field has been trampled, where is everyone gonna go to extend their sugar fest? You got it: The Treasury Department, and the down-graded U.S. Treasuries, where, once again, if you have the wealth and the power to wait, you will become part of the greatest shift in wealth in Galactic History. Folks, if you're not one of the already wealthy, create good mem... Read more

Sun Aug 07 2011There's nothing wrong with being rich. I do however have a problem with people who acquire their wealth at the expense of the well being of an entire country through irresponsible, avaricious and in many instances illegal practices. Then they bribe politicians to enact laws that permit them to run amok without any supervision or control; from there these forces can effectively game the system to produce the outcomes they want, broader consequences be damned. This is the key dynamic that is facilitating the ongoing transfer of wealth to the top 99.9% of the population. It has gotten to the point where 400 people control the same amount of wealth as 150 million people in this country. This is not a healthy situation, as the stability and well-being of any society is predicated on a strong middle class that generates wealth for all of society. That is rapidly disappearing as their wealth is consolidated in the hands of a few on top.

Tue Jun 15 2010I fail to see how the rich giving up some of their not so hard earned cash will destroy America. Their kids are doing a fine enough job of that as it is if you ask me. Personally, I see Paris Hilton and Nichole Richie as poster children for the end of known society.

Mon Jun 14 2010The US enjoyed relative economic balance from the '50s to the mid '70s, but real income for wage slaves has been sinking ever since and it looks like we're due for another depression any day now.
