My friend and I went to The MeltingPot the other night. I had heard good things about it, then heard an ad for it on Matty in The Morning during my commute to work. I felt that it was a sign to make a reservation and couldn't stop thinking about fondue all day!! We arrived early, and sat at a high top table in the bar area. Very hip. I spotted a drink called the Strawberry Basil Lemonade- I was intrigued and ordered it. My friend had some type of margarita made with blackberries- both drinks were fabulous. We were seated soon after sipping our drinks. We walked through a maze of cozy booths, I was shocked at how big this place really was!! It looked empty from the waiting area, but I think almost every table was filled in the back. We had a nice spot to camp out for the next couple of hours. We had already decided that we would splurge and order The Big Night Out, and I'm so glad we did! We were brought our cheese selection (a delicious mixture of several cheeses with garli... Read more

"Another fabulous and delicious time at the MeltingPot last night! As a stay at home mom with a hectic life style, I find the casual and relaxed dining experience at the MeltingPot perfect for me and my friends. I had been looking forward to this night out for several weeks, and the waiting paid off. I always find the decor in the MeltingPot fascinating and very hip! My friends and I had a great table (though I don't think there is a bad one in the entire place). Bring on the cheese! I think the toughest part is deciding what to order- so far every item we have had is to die for. Our server was wonderful and very attentive. The selection of fun ""girly"" drinks is fabulous, I always try something new. Last night I tried the lobster, beef and chicken with a scrumptious garlicky dipping sauce. The chocolate was a slice of heaven as our finishing course. The only bad thing I have to say is that it ended! I am already planning our next fondue night out!

In the words of the manager, This restaurant isn't for everyone. If it wasn't for bad service, this restaurant wouldn't have service at all....

My friends and I were having a bad week at work so we decided to treat ourselves to a fun dinner. What is more fun than fondue and martini?s? TMP offers both of course. I had my usual Appletini, but some of the other girls decided to try some of the other ones on their cocktail list. They all tasted really good especially the Ying Yang, sort of like a milk shake, yummmm! We had a great time and it really took our minds off of work and all the other stuff we are putting up with right now. Hopefully, next time we go it will be for a better reason and the food and drinks will be even more fun!

I went to the Bedford MP for a fun girl?s night out last week. Not knowing what to expect I was a little skeptical about fondue, only because I hadn?t experienced it before. However, I was really happy with the outcome. The cheese was amazing and the chocolate is to die for, the best part of the meal! We had a great time and would definitely go back again. The only thing I would change next time is that I would make an appointment to see the psychic that they have on Monday nights for Girl?s Night Out!

So it was my birthday and we booked a table for 2 for 4.30. They told us that we will need to empty the table by 6.30 so "please come by 4.15", which we did. We reached at 4.15 and they told us that our reservation was at 4.30 and that is when they will seat us. So why did they tell us to come early??? We were seated and saw the menu that said "fixed Mother's Day menu". We had no idea, the lady on the phone (whom we spoke to several times) never mentioned once that it was a fixed menu. We told our server this and asked if they can make an exception because we were unaware of this, and she said she will ask the manager. This person comes by (who apparently was the manager) and said she cannot make an exception because she wouldn't know how to ring us, if we only wanted to eat 2 cheese fondues (what we always order here). We requested several times and also said that the reason we came here is to celebrate my birthday and we weren't told about the fixed menu. Same experience as the pers... Read more

On August 23, 2007, I had my wedding rehearsal at the this restaurant. We made the reservations about 1 and a half months in advance for the function room right off the main entrance. During the month before the wedding rehearsal date we had meetings, emails and phone calls with manager Brian to go over menus and exactly what we wanted on the day of. He was very professional and took into consideration all we asked for. Our reservations were for 7:30pm, we all arrived a little early, but our room was ready for us when we got there. The room was completely set up and had a great feeling to it as soon as we walked in, with the fireplace going and candles lit. We had about 32 people, including 3 kids under 4. We had 3 servers( I forget their names), who were absolutely wonderful. Everything we asked for was done right away and they were very social with our group and made our evening that much better. We had champagne and wine on our tables for everyone. We also had a full course dinne... Read more

Ladies Nite Out is a winner - a cool way to spend a blue Monday or any other evening for that mattter. 6 girfriends and I recently attended one of the restuarant's Ladies Nite Out dinner evenings. Great concept with even greater servcie and food. What a blast...much more than all of us expected! It was a novel food experience. I honestly did not expect much from an evening of cheese. Surprise...no whine with that cheese. Thank you very much! If you want fast food go somwhere else. This fondue meal is to be savored and you will not be rushed through the process. Your taste buds will be delighted! We never knew that so much could be done with cheese, various sauces, or in a simmering bowl! Leave room for dessert - You don't want to miss it...a chocolate bliss trip best desribes it. The wine list was exceptional (always a plus) and the Yin Yang martini's are not to be missed either. We arrived early, were ushered to the bar area, and delivered to our table right on time. Not a bad way ... Read more

We have eaten twice now at this newly opened restaurant on the border of bedford/burlington. We like the European approach to leisurely dining and the concept that the table is yours for the evening. On both occasions the servers have gone above and beyond particularly when requested by my wife if the raw garlic could be poached before being added to the mix. Both times we have gone for the full works and you certainly leave full. The wines are very reasonably priced and a well stocked bar greets you when you first enter. The choclate fondue with mixed fruits has to be the best way to end a meal ever. We thoroughly recommend it and will be back again soon.

It's certainly an interesting experience. The menu isn't very clear. It took us a while to understand what we could order, and what came with which entrees. It's helpful to understand in advance that you cook your own food in a shared fonduepot and that you will have to agree with the others in your party as to which type of broth or oil to dip your goods into. (The cheese fondue only comes with bread; you can't dip the main course entree into the cheese). The reason this is important is that, if everyone's going to disagree, then you'll need to get a table with two burners. As a vegatarian, I didn't want apot that would have meat cooked in it so we had to put two pots on one burner, which didn't work out very well because you end up with either two lukewarm pots, or one boiling and the other tepid. So ask for a table with two burners if you think this will be a problem. Expect to be there a long time. We went with 3 courses (salad, entree and dessert) which took us about 2.5 ... Read more

I had the pleasure of going to this restaurant shortly after it opened and was impressed at how polished and knowledgeable the wait staff were already; very clearly highly trained in their "field of expertise." Good food, great vegetarian options and beautiful ambiance. Highly recommended for group outing or special occasion!

My family experienced our first fondue dinner at a recent evening when the MeltingPot was holding a fund raiser for our high school. Our service was excellent. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helpfully guided us to excellent choices for a full course meal from the somewhat complicated menu. All of the courses were terrific, but the Fiesta cheese and Yin & Yang chocolate fondues were our favorites. The Bedford MeltingPot is a wonderful community partner and an excellent place to experience a special family night out.

Went to the MeltingPot last weekend for our wedding anniversary. Can't remember the last time I had such a great dinner out! The food was fantastic - from the starter course of cheese fondue and salad, to the entree (we had the Lobster Indulgence with the Coq au Vin cooking style) and of course nothing beats a chocolate fondue dessert. The ambiance was perfect, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!

This is my new favorite spot. The ambience is high end but fun. The food is both delicious and fun. The tables for two are designed so you have complete privacy, no one can see you and you can't see anyone else. For each of the 3 fondue courses you pick both what's in the bowl, and what to dip into the bowl. We picked a wonderful chesse with wine and spices, then got the Fusion entree (lobster and Ahi and steak and chicken and and and!). The desert was over the top...I'd never thought to dip cheesecake into chocolate! If you want to really impress a date or a spouse...then the MeltingPot is your best friend.
