Mon Nov 12 2007Dear Mr. St. John, I am very concerned to read your comments regarding your unsatisfactory experiences in our establishments here. It seems we missed all the way around. Please accept my apologies, and consider allowing us to make things right with you. I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you in person so that we can get things back on track. We will do whatever seems appropriate to that end. I hope to hear from you soon. You can call me here at the hotel, 615-345-7101. Sincerely, Greg Sligh Managing Director

Tue Oct 30 2007You will get better service at a Super 8. Trust me, this is NOT a five star hotel. Afternoon tea service-LOUSEY. A decent assortment of television channels-NOT (even Hampton Inn gives you the Premium channels). I won't even begin to lament about the abismal service in the bar. I stayed at the Union Station last time and decided to "treat" myself to a five star establishment. I was wrong. Union Station-take me back - PLEASE

Wed May 09 2007This is NOT the best hotel in Nashville. Beautiful? Yes. Convenient to downtown? Obviously. Great Service? THINK AGAIN. When you pay a few hundred dollars to stay at a hotel, you expect at least good service. I've stayed at the Hermitage now on a couple different occasions, and have not been impressed (to say the least). My luggage was lost on the flight here--it was like pulling teeth to get a toothbrush/toothpaste from the concierge. Ordered breakfast...it never came. If you are a tourist with lots of time to spare, this is the hotel for you. However, not the best hotel for business travelers.

Sun Oct 29 2006My wife and I try to stay here once every year for a special occasion. Out of all the hotels I've seen in Nashville I'd rate the Hermitage hotel the best. From the moment you arrive to the moment you leave the staff is extremely cordial. The rooms are very comfortable and ensure a relaxing stay. I'd highly recommend going to the bar down stairs as it has a really cool 'old school' vibe to it. Not the cheapest hotel in town but the best, bar none.

Sun Jul 09 2006In Short When this decadent hotel was built in 1908, it was Nashville's premier place to stay. Now, it's a preeminent destination for discerning travelers. Visitors will find themselves added to a guest list that's included presidents, movie stars and sports legends. This property is all about a customized, personalized stay. Families are pampered with special activities and services for children, such as classes in traditional Southern table etiquette during afternoon tea.

Fri Jan 27 2006By far the most the most service-oriented hotel that I've ever stayed in. Concierge service is fantastic. The food in the restaurant is to die for. The lounge even has a Sommelier on staff and he even gave me a private tour of the historic art deco men's room. Six Stars!!!!!

Tue May 17 2005My husband and I stayed at the Hermitage Hotel for our wedding night and I have made reservations again for our anniversary. I can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was here. The down comforters, plush robes, and garden tubs make for such a pleasant stay. We had breakfast at the grille the next morning, which was also excellent. I highly recommend it.

Mon Oct 18 2004The hotel is definitely a 5 start hotel. We checked in on Friday night. The hotel was quiet but everything was beautiful. We checked into our room and everything was clean and well layed out. The only negative thing I have to say is that the hotel is more of a business hotel as there is not much happening in the evening there. The service by each employee was flawless!

Tue Mar 09 2004How could you possibly have listed Opryland(the biggest tourist trap) as second? How could you list Union Station number one? It is clear to me you have never experienced the wonderful Hermitage Hotel. I was recently there and could not be happier with the room or the service. You are treated as if you are royalty, make sure you watch your ego when you leave. This is the most romantic hotel in Nashville. Make sure you ask your bellboy for a tour, you will be amazed at the history of the hotel. Did I mention they just had a 20 million dollar restoration?

Thu Feb 27 2003We stayed at the Hermitage Hotel on Valentines day, on their reopening day in 2003. It was so luxurious and special. We got a package that included candy, champagne, breakfast in the room, late checkout, and valet parking. Everything was very nice. Everyone was super, super nice and attentive. There were a few kinks, long wait for dinner in the grill, some charges on our bill were incorrect, but they were fixed. The kinks were expected since it was their opening day and it was Valentines. All restaurants are usually sloooowwww on valentines. I would love to stay there again.

Thu Jan 16 2003The Hermitage Hotel will soon be - something even more special. I cannot wait to see what this place will looke like. I travel for a major hotel company - all over the world. Being from Nashville, I am excited that we will soon have the class and charm that is associated with great hotels in great cities.

Sun Aug 04 2002Just before I got my married my husband and I walked the downtown area looking for the hotel to stay in on our wedding night. The Hermitage was the only place that truly treated us like they wanted our business. The lady at the counter had the head bell man take us to see a suite and she told my husband to make sure the men's room on the lower level was empty and then let me see the old shoe shine chair in there. The night we stayed included wonderful service and incredible food for a very reasonable price. We are looking forward to the Hermitage Hotel reopening after thier remodel is complete so that we can enjoy an anniversary there!
