I had a sample of their cheesecake but in a box at Costco. I wasn't impressed with it. I had expected to be but that didn't happen. We picked this place to see if inside cheesecake was better. No it isn't. Most people in Columbus are OSU students with very little experience with excellent food. Cheesecake Factory does not produce it either.. Their 3 layer huge cake was terrible too. I would not have served it much less displayed it. The texture was tough, the holes in the cake gargantuan. If you know cakes you know its going to be tough just from its appearance. I won't be back.

First of all it is the typical Cheesecake Factory as far as menu goes... the wait is ALWAYS incredibly long so when we go we plan to sit at the Bar no further expectations than that. You can either take the escalators or the elevators. The view is breathtaking and truly a urban experience as far as getting the "feel" of the city. I recommend sitting outside at least once. The service at the Bar is always rushed for the Bartenders as they are handling drink orders for the tables as well. Our drinks were strong and tasty and the appetizers we ordered were plentiful. I do suggest if you venture up to the top floor of Macy's to try this Cheesecake Factory - come with the mindset that you will more than likely have a wait but hey your in one of the most beautiful cities in world enjoy the experience go browsing in Macy's... although I am not sure the pagers work that far =/ Respectfully Reviewed

Although the cheesecake is okay, the food is very overpriced and mediocre. Service is slow. I can't understand the attraction.

I'm not really sure why there is always a 2 hour wait for this place. The menu is so large, that they cannot specialize in anything. Therefore, everything I have eaten is average and generic tasting. Also, if you do not get seated in a booth, you'll be sitting on top of your dining neighbor. They do live up to their namesake though- the cheesecake is delicious.

The Cheesecake factory is a place I come to whenever I go to Union Square. I love their appetizers and their deserts. The portions are big and I am always stuffed when I leave- in a good way. Their outdoor seating is a real treat and anybody that goes their must try it out. The only drawback is their mixed drinks/cocktails which are a bit weak sometimes.

After the long wait, about an hour, the menu selection was pretty much filled with fats and sugars, without a lot of healthy options. After inquiring about the composition of the dressings and sauces, we determined that if it doesn't have an over abundance of mayonnaise, it has an over abundance of sugar. The cheesecakes were nicely presented in a clean display case and the bakery staff is pretty well informed, except about the fat, sugar and calorie content.

In Short Faux-rustic finishes and colorful light fixtures abound at this almost always crowded chain. The thick-as-a-book menu features Americanized versions of worldly cuisines--Mexican, Vietnamese, Italian, Thai--but succeeds best with American classics. Burgers are a good choice, especially the ""Roadside Sliders,"" mini burgers served as appetizers. The myriad cheesecakes are over-the-top in concept and decadence. You'll leave full, with leftovers.

In Short Oddball architecture--curving surfaces and colorful light fixtures--and thick-as-a-book menus distinguish this restaurant from other eateries. The encyclopedic menu spans the globe with enormous American interpretations of dishes like pad thai, shrimp tacos, miso salmon, pasta Milanese and a slate of appetizers, sandwiches, entrees and desserts too extensive to list. The namesake cheesecakes, ranging from original to peanut-butter-cup-fudge ripple, are over the top in both concept and decadence.

Cheesecake Factory has an impressive menu of food. The food has good portions, tasty, and a variety of food. The cheesecake is the signature item there. The only negative is the wait is long and no reservations and the service is ok.

One of the only places I know that can appeal to all of my friends and their varying tastebuds. And three hours is not really what you will wait. Went in with 6 people last friday and it was under an hour. I guess they are now taking some large party reservartions but that they are limited so call way ahead. Although the menu is long the staff is really good about guiding you in the right direction. You always have leftovers for luch the next day and although they dont have a printed childrens menu they do have a lot to offer, just ask. Im a huge fan and dine there more then anywhere else in Columbus, and when I travel.

I still can't believe how bad this dinner was - and I've let 2 days pass before writing this review. It was my birthday dinner - and I arrived early to put our name down for a party of 8. I knew it wasn't going to be quick to get seated - but I had no idea how the rest of the night would go. They called our name/buzzer, and we went to get sat - only to find out that they had sat a party of 4 in this area. 10 minutes later, they tried to sit us at a booth that only seats 5!!!! 20 minutes after that, they finally seated us. They did provide us with free appetizers, but my brother-in-law did ask if we were going to get something comped for our troubles. They took our drink order right away- and we told them we were ready to order. The waitress said she would come back and take it in a minute. No big deal - except she didn?t come back to take our order or to bring our drinks for at least 20 minutes - well after we had finished our appetizers. The food took forever to arrive, mean... The positives: Cheesecake Factory has an enormous menu with lots of delicious options, so everyone in your party will be satisfied. The salads, sandwiches, and pastas are all great (I usually order Evelyn's Favorite Pasta). The portions are gigantic, so although the prices are a little high, it's really like two meals in one since you usually take half to go. Of course, the specialty cheesecakes are unbelievable - you can't find stuff like this anywhere else. The rooftop view is amazing, and there are heat lamps for when it's cold. Also, it is in a central location for anyone in the Union Square area. The negatives: there is an insanely long wait (HOURS), it is always crowded, and there are no reservations. But if you are in the area, go and grab a beeper at least 45 minutes before you want to eat and continue your shopping ... by the time you're done, your table will be ready.

The Cheesecake factory lives up to it's name. Several choices of Cheesecake. And you get to look at all of them in the display case while you are waiting for a seat. This place is popular so be prepared to sign up, take your beeper and don't wander too far. I was able to get the beeper, go shopping for a pair of shoes at the men's Macys next block and return to Cheesecake factory in time to wait an additional half hour and it was not even busy dinner hour yet. But I like the big portions of everything, like the burritios, and the mango madness drinks. Great desserts. Great salads and big too. The waitstaff is overworked but they are friendly. Also suggest sit outside when the whether is not too cold.

For some reason, I always manage to end up here on a Friday and the place is a zoo! I had to wait like an hour and a half to get a table. The food is good, but not worth the wait if you are super hungry like I normally am on Friday nights. The key lime cheesecake is pretty good and I really liked the nachos as well. I haven't eaten anything that I disliked!

I've eaten at many different Cheesecake Factories, but this one has the absolute longest waits I've ever seen. Up to two hours on a Friday night! The problem is there aren't many other dining options in the area that are "upscale" if one could think of Cheesecake Factory as such. I'd come back during off-peak times but would rather eat and go home in the time it would take just to get a seat here.

The cheesecake is the best. It's indulgent and rich, and the cheesecake is the main reason why I come back to this restaurant. The food is ok, but comes in huge portions. The wait is RIDICULOUSLY long, but once I'm seated, I always find the waitstaff very friendly and accomodating. A few times I've had something wrong with my food - chicken was undercooked (bloody!), string found in my mashed potatoes, hair found in shepherd's pie - but they have ALWAYS been very apologetic, offering a replacement dish, and complimentary cheesecake. THey've never been snooty or slow about it. They always address it immediately and are apologetic for their mistake. A good place to bring a large group (like my family of 6) b/c the menu has TONS of variety; everyone should be able to find something they like.

I was here a couple of days ago with a group. They claim to have dozens of dishes as 'specialties'. The vast majority are deep-fried somehow. The waits are infamously long. The service we received was marginal, with dishes coming out at different times, the kitchen failing to complete all elements of one order, the wait staff neglecting to fulfill a simple request several times, the drinks order being delayed repeatedly... My fish & chips was badly done - a bit dried out, extremely greasy. The 'chips' were traditional American french fries, not chips (thick-cut potatoes), the cole slaw was little more than shredded purple cabbage with no dressing of any kind. The servings were enormous, great if you hadn't eaten in several days, but what normal human needs that much food?! The chocolate cheesecake was good. I'd recommend coming here for dessert, when the lines would be shorter. The view is great!

I know there are tons of other places to eat in this city, but I absolutely love this place. I know sometimes the service is a little lacking, and the wait seems like an eternity in the mobs of people, but the food is delicious and plentiful. I've been to many other places but this will always remain one of my faves. The specialty drinks, the appetizers, sweet corn cakes, tex-mex eggrolls, the never ending salads...and I don't even like cheesecake but the dulce de leche one is killer. I think I have been to every Cheesecake Fac. in CA, and in NV, and they remain consistent. To say that you can get better cheesecake at Jack in the Box is blasphemy! Who even eats at that place anyway? Gross!

If your goal is to spend a lot of money on a meal, then this certainly is one of the area's hotspots. The first thing to hit me was that the menu, which was more than 10 pages I believe, was 1/2 advertisements for other companies... After that, choosing something was a challenge - so many things sounded potentially pleasing. However, after making my choice, I found that the entree wasn't even available... they were "out" of the hamburger I'd requested. I choose a shrimp sandwich, which was average. I then shared a piece of cheesecake with my wife. The lunch was about double what I would normally pay for a meal... more than I'd normally pay for a supper. The restraunt was noisy. The staff was relatively attentive. I will be going again, to see if perhaps I just hit a bad day for the kitchen.

They have a BIG menu. They have an even BIGGER WAIT. The host will tell you 45 minutes. That is how long you wait to get a pager. Add another hour in their crowded bar over priced bar. When you finally get a table thefood is fast and good.

The place was crowded but expected. The only thing I didn't expect was to wait a hour and 45 mins to be seated. We got our drinks and order in fairly quickly. We were starving by then. We waited for another 45 mins before our food was brought to our table. Wasn't there suppose to be some bread for us to munch on while we wait? Nothing. When we got our food, it was luke warm. I paid $28 for a steak and it was tasteless. I could've gotten a REAL steak at Chris Ruths. We give it one more chance and order their cheesecake, Jack in the Box has better tasting cheesecakes. So overall, we paid $100 for an average meal and the waiting. We should have just ate IN N OUT! Oh one more thing, they don't do reservations but who cares we not going back there again.

This place is your typical tourist trap the wait was long (about an hour) & every tourist thats downtown seems to be there. I have eaten at many Cheesecake Factorys so let me say that the menu goes on for days, not including the cheesecake! EVERYTHING IS TASTY. The wait staff was friendly & attentive. My personal favorite is the chicken & biscuits. Mounds of delicious, heavenly mashed potatoes, chicken, biscuits, & gravy that make you want to jump on a Stairmaster after your meal has settled. The view from the outside patio (floor 8 of Macy's) has a stunning view of tall buildings, shops, & the Christmas tree in the square. SMOKING IS OK OUTSIDE since Cali has banned it in bars & restaurants. Try one of the long island iced teas get your bang for the buck & put a little kick in your shopping extravaganza.

I don't know how hard it is to please some people, but I have been to many nice restaurants around Columbus and I can definitely say that the Cheesecake Factory is at the top of my list of places to go. They have great appetizers, main courses and fabulous desserts. I have been to the Cheesecake Factory over 10 times with many different people and none of us have ever left disappointed. And you have to try the Georgia Peach while you are waiting for your table around the bar. The only complaints, longs waits and not a big enough bar area. It's worth the wait so go and enjoy!!

We were seated within 30mins for 11. The choices are mindbogging. There's good fried avocado egg roll and Country French salad. The fried calamari was fair, the Parmesan chicken over pasta was delicious. Don't like their cheesecake - too heavy & sweet, gritty taste. The choc mousse tasted more cake than cheesecake. The waiter was horrific. He was abrupt, hurried, forgot our drinks and before we were finished eating, dumped takeout containers/bags in the middle of the table for us to box our own leftovers! He hovered over trying to pressure the teen to order the one order of dessert to go than dine in. That's the problem when the tip is already added on the bill for a large group. My niece complained to the manager & he said he would remove the tip charges. They need to do a better job of training their staff.

the drinks, salads and desserts were simply brilliant, as for the entrees, it might be better to go somewhere else. The menu is like a novel with all kinds of different cuisines, none of the them done with any flair or originality. A gorgeous building though with a lot of energy and great for moderately large groups.

I never thought I'd say a restaurant had too many options until I came to the Cheesecake Factory. The menu is almost too vast (as are the portions!); while the food I've tried has always been average to above av, this isn't a restaurant that is "known" for a certain special dish or two, and I find that I would prefer that. Instead, you're hit with such variety, that deciding can sometimes be impossible. Why have so many mediocre choices when you can have a choice between a few spectacular dishes? The cheesecake though - that's well worth the trip. Go for dessert!

for some strange reason, this place ALWAYS has an ENORMOUS line waiting for tables. i don't really understand this. the food is mediocre at best. the menu has advertisements in it for heaven's sake! it's basically mcdonald's chain manufacturing approach to "upscale" dining. and like mcd's, the food is not terrible. just not very good. and certainly not worth waiting for. so for all the people out there who LOVE their cheesecake factory, try out some real italian food some time. you won't have to wait as long, it'll be the same price, but the food will be much better. remember, quantity is not more important than quality! see my other reviews for some suggestions.

This place has something for everyone so if you have to take a bunch of your "picky" friends out - this is the place to take them. Affordable prices, good atmosphere for casual birthday parties, and yummy cheescakes! Best of all - you can go shopping at the mall and then just drop by here for lunch or dinner before you go. They have 15min parking spots for take-out if you want to enjoy those cheescakes in the comfort of your own home.

Have stopped in several times while shopping in Union Square, waits are typically 45mins and up. Once you're seated, service is efficient and quick. The menu is huge, pastas, pizzas, chicken and seafood, basic American food with Asian/Mex/Italian twists. The sliders appetizer is good as was the Chicken chop with mashies, nothing outstanding. Portions are huge so I never make it to dessert. Decor is decent and there is a nice heated patio with a great view. Overall a good spot if you can deal with the wait and flood of tourists

If you are dining with picky people this place is for you. There is something on the menu for nearly everyone (lots of chicken). The cheesecakes (and the food) are average but there are lots of choices. Serving sizes of everything are generous so be careful how you order or there will be leftovers. This place does not take reservations. If you go during the early part of the week the wait isn't as long compared to from Thurs on. Frankly, there are too many places in the city to wait 90 min to 2 1/2 hours. It's too easy to go to either Daily Grill or Max's (which does the lots of choices big portion thing as well) to wait for the kind of food this is.

There is something on the menu for all tastes, the list of food they have is intense. Each time I order, I always find something else I want to come back for to try. You can easily make this a dinner place or just an after work drinks and appitizer place. I went there for my birthday and ended up sitting on the roof, over looking union sqaure. It was beautiful. Two days later, we ended up going back to the Cheesecake Factory because we had such a great impressionThe cheese cake is also great. I love the banana cheesecake. And no matter how easy it is to make, the fact is your in the city out to dinner, not cooking in your kitchen at home.

You will not be disappointed. My husband, sister-in-law, and her husband and I all went about a week ago on a Thursday evening and we had a great experience. First, expect this place to be packed, because everyone in town knows how great they are! We began our evening at the bar and had a few drinks. The bartenders were very cordial and quick. We were probably seated to our table within 15 minutes or so. All of us ordered a variety of food from burgers, to salmon, to filet mignon and there were no complaints. The food is always cooked to perfection. Dessert was also delicious. I had the strawberry cheesecake, but there about 12 more types to choose from. Overall, we had a wonderful dinner. The ambience is very mellow and the lighting is low, so it is also perfect for a date setting. We will definitely return!

My fiance and I have always been intrigued by the sheer numbers that eat at the Cheesecake Factory at Easton. The first time we ate there we disliked it, but dismissed it thinking we just picked the wrong meals. The second time, the meal was okay, so we thought maybe we were getting close to experiencing what the crowds come here for. The third time, the meal again was tasteless and overpriced, but the avocado egg rolls were pretty good. And finally today, we went back to try the egg rolls again, and to give it another shot. The meals were both tasteless, and the avacado egg rolls didn't live up to our memories. I honestly can't tell you why all the people come here, maybe they all think that someone knows something they don't.

While slightly crowded, we found the fast pace and responsiveness of the staff to be better than expected. The food itself was only slightly better than average, but the appetizers were excellent and the cheesecakes were out of this world!! Well worth the money spent on those!!!
