this is what happens when there is a "jump on the bandwagon" idea. after the success of That "70s show. other producers decide on the same idea and just call it that 80s show. Oh what an idea. and how long did it last? a few episodes? only saw a portion of a show and knew it was on it's way out. copy cats usually do not work.

Actually was beginning to be funny, and better, but the difference between this show and That 70's show, 70's Show was like the actual 70's experiance, 80's Show was more of a parody of the 80's, in the long run, a huge dissappointment.

I heart the eighties!!!!! They had a pretty good story line going, but it was no competition for that 70's show. I still wish they brought it back.

I only saw this show a couple of times before they canceled it and thought it was ok. It just wasnt as funny as that 70's show.

I was so looking forward to that show. I loved it! I liked that sarcastic woman from the record store. Characters were amusing and original. Why did the cancel it?

This show was nothing but a lame spinoff of "That 70's show", which is yet another travesty of a television program. One bad idea does not deserve another folks.

Apparently the producers thought that the reason that That 70's Show succeeded was because preceding decades are inherently funny. Nooooo, That 70's Show succeeds because of an incredibly gifted cast and good writers. That 80's Show had neither. It was an embarrassment from the first second of the first episode. Everything about it was just plain wrong.

A masterpiece. What a wonderful combination of wit and originality. And the concept was so funny I wet my pants and missed part of an episode. This is FOX TV at its best.

This was bad. That 70's show is very funny, but this cast had no charisma, and I dont think we as a society are ready to deal with the 80's yet. Callmetootie is ridiculous. I cant believe anyone would give this show a positive rating and look who does. Tootie keeps on suprising me. Im scared!

The 80's were kind of cool if you were there, but they aren't as fun to look back on as the 70's. It just wasn't that funny and just wanted to be That 70's show.

Oh please- Even Generation Xer's who remember the 80's don't long for high unemployment, higher mortgage rates, huge deficits, and Ed Meese's porn police. Gag me with a spoon.

Im sorry all I can think, is its a total rip off from That 70s Show. Ive never seen it, but thats all I think of when someone mentions it. Granted I like 80s music, & I was born in the 80s & grew up during that time. But still, rip off. Oh & to what CastleBee said, if they make a, That 90s Show, that would just going too far!

So, 80’s kids - welcome to middle or near middle age! Now, you get to join those of us who went to high school in the 70’s and watch as your era is misrepresented, maligned, and generally made fun of. You enjoy(ed) taking (some perhaps well deserved) shots at disco, ugly synthetic clothes, and other fads and fashions of the ‘70’s and now it’s your turn up. Just keep in mind the cast wasn’t even born yet and the writers were probably either in grade school or stoned so the one thing these shows usually never get right is accuracy. But don’t worry, that 90’s show can’t be far behind…(o;!

It's not perfect, but it's a very nostalgic and good look back in the 80's. The scripts are pretty good, and the characters are much likeable.
