I am in the minority considering I have loved the Cowboys since I was five. I have never thought Texas Stadium was a great stadium. It has served its purpose, but the seats were always crowded together and frankly the stadium is too quiet considering all the great teams we have had through the years. I am hoping the new stadium is going to make for a tougher, more rowdy environment.

Back in the day it was good, but now it's an old rusted shack with a hole in the roof. It gets as hot as hell in there and it's pretty dirty also. It's a depressing site. It's also small compaired to other NFL stadiums. Good thing they're building a new one, with a cover on it!

One star for the history, a second star for the basic design which is still cool, and a third star because I'm a homer. The hole in the roof is still a classic and will also be there with the new stadium.Still, this place is getting pretty old and really showing it's age. There is constant maintenance going on inside and out, and it is probably in need of a complete plumbing overhaul. Never fear, a new stadium is on the way and the design looks outstanding. I know people who don't have the least bit of interest in football that want to go to a game just to see the new stadium.

The hole in the roof simply lets the sun heat up the stadium. And the fact that it is mostly closed, makes the heat build up with no breeze or air circulation. In the middle of the summer, it is like being inside an enormous pressure cooker. Also, if they are going to leave the hole there, you would think that they could at least put in some real grass for the playing field.

Good thing they're getting a new one, I've never liked this one, and I don't like the Cowboys either.

The thing is a landmark. And that landmark needs to be bulldozed (which it will soon). It still has the outside 1960's look like the old Astrodome has. It has extremely poor parking, and an extremely small seating capacity. It looks like those problems are fixed though now that the Arlington Cowboys are getting their new stadium in 2008.

well i have been in more than 1 stadium in the NFL, and i have this comparison about Texas(or Jerry) Stadium. It looks so run down on the outside, the inside is ok, but the outside Looks BAD. Arrowhead and Texas Stadium opened up the same year, and look at arrowhead compared to Texas Stadium. There is no comparison, Arrowhead Blows it away in all ways departments. Texas Stadium: 40,000 people worst location i have ever seen, middle of 3 highways(183, 114, and spur 482). parking is bad, you park on gravel and pay 12 bucks to do that? outside has GIANT rust spots on it from poor maintenance Arrowhead: 79,000 Great Location, Huge area for both stadiums(Arrowhead and Royals Stadium). Parking is very nice with lots of BBQ. Stadium Looks Great Inside and Out. no comparison.

Saw the 'Boys play the Steelers back in 1983; Terry Bradshaw's last season. The Ring of Honor was cool to look at in person. Why do they still have turf?

The little hole in the roof was a horrible idea! The Cowboys are my favorite team, but I have never been a fan of Texas Stadium. The shadows during the game are annoying, and it's all because of the roof. I wish the roof would be ripped off, and the entire stadium was wide-open. I can't stand domes so please don't cover the hole!

This is the only pro football stadium I've been in, so I don't have anything to compare it to, really. The thing that impressed me is that on the outside it doesn't look that big, but once you are inside it, man is it huge. The seats, even though there are only about 60,000 or so, seem to go on forever.
