The movie has loads of action from start to finish, loads of gun action. Human vs machine works really well in this movie. Houses blown apart, robots spraying bullets, great movie and a good plot! However the movie could have been better but the movie still has good effects.

Two decent action sequences. . .some cool robots. But all I kept thinking was - why? What is the point of this story? Simply unspectacular and unmemorable- which are crimes against the Terminator franchise.

No Ahhnold, no Terminator. It's that simple. Why try to make a 21st Century version of something that worked well in its time? Is the total creative bankruptcy of Hollywood one of the reasons? Perhaps blind greed is the answer.

. . . . well, it was better than the third movie. I guess that doesn't really say much, though. Spoilers below, you've been warned. SYNOPSIS: The year 2003: Marcus Wright is about to be executed, but before he's sent off for injection, he gets a visit from Dr. Kogan from Skynet, who asks him to donate his body to science (Mental note to self: take me off the donor list!). Next thing he knows, he's walking around naked in a desert, Year: 2018. He runs into this kid named Kyle and a little girl who doesn't talk, who saves him from a Terminator. He attempts to go off to find Skynet to figure out what he's doing 15 years in the future after his death. He runs into the resistance first, though, and finds out to his great dismay that he's actually mostly metal. Conner, understandably, has some issues with this, but they have to find a way to work together to bring Skynet down. PROS: Well, you're paying to see lots of fighting and explosions. It delivers that. CONS: Lots of ... Read more

Although mildly entertaining at times, Terminator Salvation ultimately falls way short of must-see summer blockbuster status by aggrandizing its own mythology with the inclusion of imagery and symbolism with religious connotations. You may think I'm kidding, but I'm not....this film reads like a bad bible story with everything from vague allusions to the holocaust in hopes of inspiring quick audience empathy to John Connor reinterpreted with a pretty hardcore messianic complex. This religious subtext, on par with something like Narnia (movies) or the 3rd Matrix film, seems really out of place relative to the other Terminator films. Frankly, Terminator Salvation comes across as really awful fan fiction made into a feature film. The story itself isn't interesting or well-developed, and it makes the humans in the Terminator Universe look pretty stupid. There were a few moments where you could tell the audience was expected to cheer (no one did, by the way), such as when Schwarzenneger (... Read more

2 hours of mindless eye candy. It would've been better if I had downed the two martinis before watching it. The less brain cells, the better the movie. Leave all logical thinking at home, or the movie will not make sense. Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington) stole the show. Christian Bale has a great body but no character presense whatsoever. He doesn't make a good hero. He didn't pull off Batman and he can't pull off John Connor. I think he'd make a better cyborg. Recommendation: watch it on a really boring date when you've run out of things to talk about.
