His detractors are the liberal left limp wrister's. A patriot and great performer, unlike you one star voter's who have never served anyone but yourselves. God, Guns and Rock and Roll Baby! The Nuge is right!! From a vet......

His music's nothing to write home about, but his posturing provides almost enough entertainment to make up for it.

Nothing against his love of firearms. However when ever he opens his mouth I am suddenly in the mood to go Nugent hunting.

Nugent can be abnoxious, but for me it tends to be in a harmless and amusing way. So the Nuge likes guns. So do I.

Who cares what you think about his political stance. The dude can play and play with ferocity. His all out attack, kick your ass with his axe intensity and his unduplicatable sound have rocked for nearly forty years and he continues to sell albums. Even liberals buy his music although they hate him. That's talent.

I seen him as a guest on the Howard Stern E! show once, and Howard asked him if he killed cats before. Ted laughed, and said yes. I later thought it was funny seeing a cat in Ted's living room on the "Surviving Nugent" tv show! I against killing cats, but i think Ted Nugent is great otherwise because he is the middle finger to PETA.

Ted Nugent is my favorite rock guitarist. No one has more explosive or intense guitar solos than Ted. Nugent was the inspiration for the multitude of hair bands that followed. It erks me greatly that most self proclaimed classic rock stations don't play more of his music. If they play him at all its seems all I ever hear on the radio is Cat Scratch Fever. Here's my list of favorite Ted Nugent songs, CHECK'EM OUT! Journey To The Center Of The Mind, Baby Please Don't Go, Stranglehold, Stormtroopin', Hey Baby, Just What The Doctor Ordered, Snakeskin Cowboys, Free-For-All, Dog Eat Dog, Cat Scratch Fever, Wang Dang Sweet Poontang, Death By Misadventure, Live It Up, Workin' Hard Playin' Hard, A Thousand Knives, Yank Me Crank Me, Great White Buffalo, Hibernation, Motor City Madhouse Paralyzed, Satisfied, Bound And Gagged, Habitual Offender, Fightin' Words, Ebony, Need You Bad, Tight Spots, Weekend Warriors, Good Friend and a Bottle of Wine, Thighraceous, I Shoot Back, Tooth, Fang A... The opening riff on Great White Buffalo is one of the coolest rock riffs ever, imo. Ted's a great rock player, not crazy about his sound, though.

I don't agree with his politics, but he is an amazing hard rock meets blues guitarist. I have never seen anyone with such passion, energy, and dripping sweat on stage! Has an amazing feel for bending notes and chords to create a monster sound. His live performances are second to none!

Aside from his arrogant, Neanderthal image, and for being probably the biggest jackass of his period in rock music which is indeed aggravating, he is a quite decent player. I can't stand his dumb rock solo work, or the corporate , power ballad B.S. with the supergroup band Damn Yankees. However, in the 60's, he was the guitarist for the acid rock/ hard rock band known as The Amboy Dukes, and they had some crap, but also fine moments (like their hit "Journey To The Center Of The Mind," and a fine take on the blues standard "Baby Please Don't Go") that Nugent indeed played impressively on.

I like how conservatives are so desperate to shed the idiot streotype, and then go say something like, Uncle Ted has got my vote! You guys are truly hilarious. Anyway, Ted Nugent is a homicidal redneck and the only people who disagree are also homicidal rednecks. As far as his music, yeah, he can pick it. I'll give him that. But my Trans AM is still on layaway , so for now, I'll stick with Hendrix, Richards, and all the great blues guitarist of the world. Ted Nugent has no sense. )))))))))))))))))))UPDATE: I don't care 'Canada', but this dude sent me this nasty right wing crap private message. I can't reply to private messages, so I thought I'd diss him and his favorite guitar player on this list. Come on, Uncle Ted's got my vote?!?! I couldn't resist.

Ted Nugent may be the most underrated guitarist of all time. His skill, intensity, passion, & tone is out of sight. He puts his heart & soul into every note that he plays. I saw him live in Pittsburgh a few weeks ago, and I'll tell you this - you haven't lived until you've heard Stranglehold live.

Totally obnoxious. First all he wasn't and isn't that talented of a singer/musician. I have nothing against hunting but this man's giddiness over it is almost scary and annoying.

This tool really bothers me. I mean, it's easy enough to ignore him in my everyday life because he's not exactly a major celebrity, but the few times I am forced to confront his reactionary comments on everything I can't help but be glad I don't know, or live near, anyone like him. I mean, he enjoys hunting and killing. Which is OK because a lot of men (and women) do enjoy hunting and killing, but Ted REALLY enjoys it. He has a book out now that consists entirely of anecdotes about a whole bunch of animals he's killed, and butchered, and later consumed. I personally don't think people like the Motor City Madman ought to be allowed to possess firearms. I suppose he hasn't actually killed anyone yet, even if every story he tells involves him nearly having to teach some punk a lesson in being shot with a deer rifle. It's a good thing he doesn't drink, though, I'll say that much for him. Drunkenness and high-powered rifles are a bad mix.

I think he's a spaz. Hyper-active, knee-jerk psychos should not be allowed to own firearms and shoot defenseless woodland creatures. How frightening is it that they usually seem to be the only ones who really get into it.

His oh-so pro hunting and killing animals views are really irritating. Mr. Nugent, No one cares about your insipid juvenile crybaby piss-and-moan attitude. Your fifteen minutes of fame are up!
