I tranfered my IRA account to TD-Ameritrade last year and received 300 free trades through the special offer. I just traded there the 1st time yesterday. I really don't have any complains about it. You type in the symbol, # of shares, pricing (limit, market, etc), and you review the order before submission. That's it. The only complain I have is the quoting system. It doesn't update by itself (or maybe it's operator error) before I submit the order. I would like to see the current price before I submit the order so I don't enter a low limit order.

They've been raising their rates and adding activity-based fees (e.g. you must make so many trades per quarter or be assessed a fee) I am going to move my account. I am not a day trader. I am not going to trade just to not be assessed a fee.

I agree with the option for a non graphics site. If you need phone service during the day, the wait can be several minutes.

TD Waterhouse Securities is easy to use and where one can learn about companies before investing in them.

TD Waterhouse freezes up a lot, blocking you out from trading, which is really bad if you need to liquidate a stock position or put in a stop/limit order.
