Tarte Clean Slate

I can't imagine going without this product. My make-up glides on so much more smoothly. Another reviewer gave the great hint too, of applying it on the eyelids. I now do this sparingly and my eyeshadow no longer "sticks" in clumps.

I love makeup primers and for the days when I go to work and I wear a full face of it I always make sure to apply primer first, without the primer the look is not as flawless. This is my second brand that I tired since I started using primer, my other favorite is Philosophy's The Present, and while it's more of a gooey lotion it's also wonderful This primer is silicon based, it looks like a thick, cloudy gel and a little amount on clean and moisturized face is all that I need. It can also be used on eye lids only, to help eye shadow stick, and it really works for keeping eye makeup in place longer. This won't make bad skin magically perfect but it helps to keep makeup in place all day, it prevents eye shadow from creasing and it keeps the skin looking better, I certainly don't bother applying foundation without this! It also last forever, I only buy this once a year, twice at most, so it goes a long way... - Kasia S.

Didn't see any real improvement on how long my makeup stayed on. Returned it and went back to MAC.

I just received a sample of this yesterday, and used it this morning. The moment I put it on, I loved it. I've been using the NARS primer, but will switch asap. This makes your skin amazingly silky, and my tinted moisturizer (laura mercier) went on smoothly. No rought spots, nothing!

Slick face primer. When I put this on my face was as smooth as an ice rink. My make-up glided on over my skin effortlessly. This product did not leave my skin greasy or oily as I thought it might from the avocado, rosemary & hibiscus oils they put into it. It leaves no shine. I got this as a sample from one of my Sephora orders. My make up did not stay put, if I rubbed my nose my make up still came off. After two days of use I broke out by my chin. Tarte Clean Slate is an ok primer. But I will not be buying it.
