This is it. This character is the embodiment of what typical Americans know about Sweden. I, for one, know that they are all blond vikings who drive Saabs.

Swedish Chef was in the top five in a poll of best mustaches in TV history, defeated only by Tom Selleck.

I never liked his segments of the show much; they seemed boring and repetitive to me.

I just do not get the popularty surrounding Swedish Chef.  In fact I'm quite surprised that Miss Piggy isn't rated higher as she has more spunk and personality with her crazy antics than Swedish Chef has ever mustered in his entire existence as a muppet.

His pseudo-Swedish bored me intensely. Yet he gave me a feeling of moral superiority. Mom had told me that food must not be wasted and I was proud of sticking to this rule without fail. So I could look down on this food-waster with all the satisfaction that indignation can offer.

Swedish Chef is one of my favorite Muppets. He always made something weird and it always backfired. The song he always did at the beginning was funny too.

I still laugh at the movie (i forgot exactly what it's called) It's when the muppets spend the Christmas at Fozzie's aunts house. Anyways when the chef is trying to cook the Christmas turkey and he sees Big Bird and wants to cook him for dinner at first. He's hilarious.

Extremely funny, even though he's just speaking nonsense to kids you think it's Swedish. I love how excited he would get.

I'm not sure what makes the Swedish chef so great but I do know that he is probably the most imitated charcter. Even though you never quite know what he is saying.

Ah, gotta love those hilarious stereotypes. I'm not Swedish, but I can't imagine anyone who is Swedish being upset over this character.

Watching the muppet show as a young kid, he was my favorite character just because his humor was so simple.

At least they speak real Spanish on Sesame Street! (P.S. I'm being sarcastic, I love the Swedish Chef)

The Swedish Chef was, for me, the best part of the Muppet Show. His recipes would start out normal, and end up with him chasing an animal around the kitchen. Slapstick humor at it's finest. Bork! Bork! Bork! (tosses her spoon and fork over her head)

HILARIOUS. I drove my parents nuts as a kid with my "Mork! Mork! Mork!" imitations followed with throwing kitchen utensils over my head. I'm laughing out loud just looking at the picture on the corner of the rateitall page.

The fact that this guy never got his own series was an absolute travesty. Underestimated in his range, I'm saying this guy could've pulled off a Baretta-type cop as well as a sensitve Cosby-type dad -- and everything in-between. Obviously Muppet, Inc. was too corporate and close-minded to let the Swedish man come through .... you had to be green to make the green, clearly. And let history show, with cooking shows on 24/7 on every friggin' channel, that here stands the man who preceded nearly all of 'em (save The Fernch Chef and Galloping Gourmet). Tragically underated, here's a talent that could make you laugh just readin' the dictionary. And he kept his chickens in line .....throwing back some glug with this guy would be a priviledge and an honor, børk-børk.

The Swedish Chef is mac daddy of all muppets and an obvious favorite. He has maybe the best accent ever and the careless way he throws around all that food is just hilarious. I wish the Swedish Chef was my dad.

I think the swedish chef is one of the best muppets ever made. He makes me laugh and is very very odd( in a good way).
