Tue Jun 17 2008I am in a quandry...I sold my bike (ninja 500r) and now am without. I had a friend talk me into the Triumph Daytona 675 but they sold the SE that I wanted and not really attracted to the other colors. I have always wanted a Busa, since I even owned a bike but people are talking me out of it because they say it's too much bike that I'd be fine with a 600 or 750. I sat on a 2008 at RMC today and it was soooo comfortable. But is it to much to go from a 500 to a 1300? I guess if I am going to spend that kind of money on a bike, I would rather get one that I would never have to upgrade...HELP!

Tue May 08 2007What motoman is really saying is "The Busa scared the crap out of me and I don't know what I'm doing!" Go back to riding your "Shadow 650" and come back when you can ride! If your buying the Hayabusa for the same reasons you would otherwise buy a CBR or a gsx 1000 then you've bought the wrong bike.

Mon Feb 27 2006How can anyone say the busa hasn't set track records or standards? The 1999 model certainly set the standard by being the fastest production bike ever made... Also, a busa set a quarter mile record for any gasoline bike without a wheelie bar...

Sun Jan 01 2006Well to respond to the guy who said that the busa blows and he is waiting for the kawasaki 1400. I raced one of those kawasaki 1400s which was owned by a man who raced motorcycles for a living and all I can say is that dont waste your money on a kawasaki. They are truely a worthless waste of time and money.

Fri Dec 16 2005Blackflag is a bitter person. Jealous, envious...pic a synonym. Probably owns a Cowasucki. Blackflag.....isn't that a bug killer? Or does it refer to improper racing technique on the track?

Fri Oct 28 2005I am 50 years old and have had over 25 motorcycles in my life and have drag-raced professionally since 1975. I have owned Suzuki and Kawasaki motorcycles. The 2005 Suzuki Hayabusa is still and will always be the King. The reliable and smooth king will rival any bike. Yes, I took it to the track and have driven it to Daytona from NY and it is rock steady. I am currently waiting for Vance and Hines to make a special 4into1 pipe and mapping, that is the best in the industry. Kaw,Yam,you will never catch up with the Busa and the only reason people complain is because they don't own or can afford one.

Sat Aug 07 2004I've got a 2003 Busa and it is the smoothest, most powerfull and dog gone sure fire fastest motorcycle I ever have ridden. Bring it on all comers. Unless you have a busa.

Sun May 09 2004Purchased a 2004 Purple/Black Busa on 04/01/04, so am still in break-in mode. Bike obtained from Cycle Sports Hawaii, and had accessories pre-ordered and installed before pick-up: DD chromed slip-ons, double bubble chrome wind screen, 5-spoke chrome wheels, chrome passenger grab bar, rider & passenger gel seats w/Hayabusa kanji, braided brake & clutch lines, under tail kit w/LED turn signals. I did these mods simply for show, as I have no intention to seek any more power from this beast. This speed pig has more capablility than I dare to explore. Besides, there just isn't enough road on the island of Oahu to even make the attempt. As far as blackflag33... I agree with letereat: that boy's just blowing smoke. The Hayabusa is an outstanding machine!

Fri Apr 23 2004My BUSA is my 7th Motorcycle. I love my BUSA. Everytime I get on it and twist the throttle I get more and more respect for the bike. I can't for the life of me think why anyone would not love a bike like this. It has everything...From a relaxed seating position to unbridled power that is just a little twist away. I have ridden other Super Bikes like the Blackbird and the ZX, but nothing compares to the power and pull that the BUSA has. MY COMPLIMENTS TO SUZUKI FOR FINALLY SETTING HONDA AND KAWASAKI WHERE THEY BELONG...ALWAYS SECOND TO THE HAYABUSA. Those of you who REALLY have one know what I am talking about. [email protected]
