Super Bowl Runner-up Jinx

I swear by Thor's Holy Hammer,  that this curse must have been the reason for the Bear's dismal season.

So... the Pats might be in for it? I shall consult Chokestradamus on this matter...

I can see how getting all the way to the Super Bowl and then losing can mess with the chemistry of a team. I think Seattle will not do as well next year as they did this year, but I would still expect them to make the playoffs next year. Their division is just too weak.

Originally, Spartacus007 put this as Buffalo Bill's Curse because of the four super bowls they failed to win and could not have a playoff berth after that; realistically, it affects ALL SB runner ups since then. Note that the Steelers are an exception. Today, the Steelers have won the Super Bowl and perhaps Jerome Bettis can retire happily.:) Now, we will see if the Seahawks are going to feel the brunt of the curse the next time they are in a conference championship.
