Tue Aug 25 2009It is the biggest sporting event to attend, if you are from the US. It is also one of the the world's biggest sporting events as well. The Super Bowl would be a popular event in most countries around the world if it was an international showcase, like the World Cup. The Super Bowl is the ultimate television spectacle of the year as well, it is like a holiday in the United States and probably will be someday. Who would not want to be there.

Sun Feb 04 2007It would be great to attend, if you're willing and able to pay $4,000 a ticket. It would be fun, and hey, maybe in between Prince's half-time show and the Cirque-du-Soleil show, you might even get to watch some football! Somehow the Super Bowl is really no longer about the NFL; it's become a monstrosity of an event, in many respects, an event honoring American excess. The Super Bowl has become a corporate and celebrity event. There are plenty of Colts and Bears fans who have made their trek down to Miami this year, but very few of them will be sitting on the stands cheering their teams on. We no longer remember Super Bowl's for those indelible moments on the field, like Joe Montana's winning touchdown drives. Now its the commercials and the half-time shows that get the most attention!
