Mon Jul 26 2010Nothing beats fresh squeezed orange juice. Orange flavored drinks like Sunny D hold no comparison. And of course, regular orange juice does not have all the preservatives, HFCS, and the chemical-like aftertaste that Sunny D has.

Mon Jul 26 2010One of the most gross poisons available at your local supermarket. Beware high fructose corn syrup. It's a killer.
by misspackrat4je_sus
Mon Jul 26 2010Probably has all of about 5 to 10% juice, and the rest high fructose corn syrup (HFCS). I used to drink it, but have lost my taste for it. I might consider giving it a try again if they come up with a "diet" version (or at least cut the HFCS content in half)... and even then, I wouldn't drink it all the time.

Sat Mar 06 2010This isn't Orange Juice by any stretch of the imagination. Its corn syrup and water with orange flavoring. Easily one of the most disgusting things I've ever had to drink, and I can speak from experience that it makes the most revolting Screwdriver, when mixed with vodka.
by numbah16tdhaha
Sat Mar 06 2010In the context of "orange juice" its an easy one indeed. Like my esteemed colleague git, I too subbed it in for OJ for exactly one screwdriver when I had no OJ, and lets just say you won't ever see me do that shit again. Its a good thing I was already drunk when I did it and thus didn't care as much...

Sat Mar 06 2010Sunny Delight should be renamed to "Fake Juice with unpronounceable ingredients"! So in reality you are drinking water, and High Fructose Corn Syrup, a tiny bit (2%) of "Orange, Tangerine, Apple, Lime, Grapefruit" juice folowed up by Canola Oil, Cellulose Gum, Xanthan Gum, Sodium Hexametaphosphate, Sodium Benzoate, Yellow #5, Yellow #6 . So if you like to feel good about what you drink, buy real orange juice, if you want sweetened salad oil and chemicals, and 2% juice...enjoy your glass of Sunny D! Sunny Delight (Proctor and Gamble) was sued by the Florida Citrus Growers Association for fraudulently labeling Sunny D as "a real fruit drink", and the Feds made Sunny D stop misleading people.

Sat Mar 06 2010Orange drink does not mean orange juice. Sunny D contains less than 2% orange juice, and tastes thick and syrupy.

Sat Mar 06 2010I use to love this stuff as a kid but I got some the other day, (20 years later) and I was sadly brought back to the fact that a lot of things in childhood are different the second time around. It's very watery and fake tasting. It's a product of great marketing, much like bud light, or miller light. You drink it and you like it, because the tv told you to so long, that you kinda do, even when you really don't. I do remember at one time they came out with a "California style" and it was a lot better, but that was 15 years ago....why i remember that I don't know.

Sat Mar 06 2010It may be orange. it is NOT orange juice. more of a orange drink.

Thu Oct 01 2009I'm not too crazy about Sunny Delight. It tastes like weak orange juice to me. I'd rather drink plain orange juice. I'm not saying that Sunny Delight sucks but I have had better drinks. I give Sunny D a 3 star rating.

Mon Jun 15 2009I'm not really sure what kind of mixture gives you the opaque orange color of SunnyD and I'm not sure I want to know. The drink though is tasty and does give you a hint of orange flavor. The bottle is also distinctive so you know its SunnyD and not the "purple stuff."

Tue Jun 02 2009Sunny Delight seems to be more of a fruit blend juice, rather than just straight orange juice. It is pretty sweet, but that’s what makes it good. Sunny Delight is really cheap, so you can buy a lot of it.

Fri Feb 27 2009I'm not quite sure that this is even meant to taste anything like orange juice. All I can taste is sour, sugary water.
by oceansoul
Fri Nov 21 2008Sunny Delight is not an orange juice; it is an orange flavored punch. California Style tastes the best, but Kool Aid is nutritionally similar and less than half the price.

Thu Jan 31 2008Once popular now I realise how poor it tastes

Thu Jan 31 2008Sickening sweet.

Tue Jan 29 2008Not even juice
by ladyblackpearl
Thu Sep 06 2007I like the taste. I wonder how the hell it turned a little girl orange in complexion, and exactly how much of it did she drink for that to happen.

Tue Aug 29 2006This is not JUICE. It's juice drink, and the one time I foolishly tasted it, it was sheer junk. Yeech.
by fudcritique
Sun Jun 18 2006Sunny D is awful!!! It have almost no real juice in it (5%) and the vitamin C and "juice" probably comes from ground up orange peels and scraps from the real Orange Juice companies. It is in the same section as real juices in grocery markets when it should be over by the soda pop and junk food. But I have to say, the people who own the Suny D company sure do know how to get kids to like it... lots and lots of sugar. The key ingrediant to success!
by thomasallen63
Sun Apr 16 2006The #1 ingredient in this garbage is High Fructose Corn Syrup (HFCS). This is sweeter, cheaper and worse than sugar because your body immediately turns it into fat. It is believed to be one of the leading causes of obesity in children. So, if you want your kid to be a fat, lazy underachiever, then DRINK UP!!!!

Tue Jan 03 2006I LOVE and I mean LOVE Sunny Delight!!!! My WHOLE family is a HUGE fan of SUNNY-D!!! BUT, they are not making California style anymore, only SMOOTH and that was our favorite kind. I miss it. So do I! Me too!!!! Same here! So, please, bring us back the great morning taste everyone deserves!!! -Thank you!- -Sunny Delight Family!-

Mon Oct 10 2005ITS THE BEST EVER MADE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
by love4babyry
Tue Aug 30 2005Sunny Delight is the fake juice from Procter & Gamble, the same company that brought you the fake fat Olestra. There is nothing either sunny or delightful about a junk food thats dressed up as real fruit juice. But Sunny Delight is not much more than sugar water with negligible amounts of juice and a bit of vitamins added. I hate that my 2 year old loves this stuff.
by thatisc_ussin
Wed May 11 2005I concurr with most other posters here. It is not orange juice! It is an orange chemical juice like concoction from another planet. Sunny D, the D stands for; Depolrable excuse for a beverage. Also, I feel compelled to add it is as they say ghetto! Even the bottle looks sinister.
by locust43
Tue Apr 05 2005It is very unhealthy and should not be classified as orange juice, it contains barley any juice, Woah nelly, a whopping 5%. It contains too many artificial ingredients and can turn your skin yellow if consumed in large amounts
by texasyankee
Fri Mar 25 2005This is not orange juice, but it tastes good ice cold on a hot day.
by randyman
Fri Mar 11 2005Not really orange juice, actually more like a punch. But I do like it.
by mkpinky
Fri Feb 18 2005This is in no way orange juice. It has has 5% real juice in it and probably not even that. It is just sugar. I think that it is one of the most disgusting things out there.
by skizero
Fri Feb 18 2005milky and horrid tasting junk that tries to come across as healthy, hip, and a good addition to athletic behavior. you always see kids in the Sunny Delight commericals carrying bikes and downing this stuff like it's liquid energy. also what's w/the Hip name, Sunny D. that's dumb. at least KFC had a reason to change their name.
by fartinaroundth_eclock
Fri Feb 11 2005this stuff is great
by laurie_strode
Wed Feb 09 2005orange juice they should make a chemical section just for this because chemicals are the only thing that explains what is in this stuff they obvisolly try to atract kids in there comercials now thats why most kids these days like to eat un healthy stuff they just want youre money
by alexg681
Mon Jan 24 2005Yuck!!!!! this certainly isn't orange juice.

Sun Dec 12 2004Beats tropicana still sucks though
by excelsior30
Fri Nov 19 2004For shame that Procter and Gamble listed their juice as 5% pure juice! This doesn't come close to Donald Duck Orange Juice. Just too much technology and sugar put into it- nothing can replace the true taste of oranges. I drank one when it was stale, and it made me throw up. Totally not delightful under the sun!
by beatlesfanstev_eo
Sat Nov 13 2004This sh*t is most definitly not orange juice and to top it off this stuff is friggin gross.
by elise_truman
Sat Sep 18 2004Tasty. But don't confuse this with real orange juice. Orange drinks are simply drinks that are orange.
by bird808
Fri Aug 06 2004You guys are right saying this isn't orange juice. They did a study on watchdog healthcare to find out the ingredients of Sunny Delight, I would urge anyone with a delicate stomach not to read on as this stuff's main ingredient is cow sperm which most probably explains its texture. GROSS!!
by louiethe20th
Thu Aug 05 2004This is an orange drink and mostly sugar, it can make ya sick if you drink too much.
by doctor_of_madness
Wed Jul 28 2004Wrong catagory! This isn't orange juice. It's more like Mr. Clean, Drano or Sherwin-Williams than orange juice.
by blairwitch187
Sat May 15 2004Not my cup of tea. It's not even orange juice.
