Wed May 04 2011I bought my Sundance Tepid tub in 2006, it really was great for five years. Used it in cold Cleveland,Ohio weather and my body temp was so hot when I got out of tub that I did not even feel cold in 10 degree weather. Recently had to replace temp sensor due to many codes. Now the tub is tepid, I feel cold even in 50 degree weather when I get out. The water temp is 104 degree but feels no warmer than a warm bath. Save your money and if you are buying a Hot tub, you may as well buy an off brand rather than spend $8500.

Wed Apr 20 2011Purchased Sundance Spa Hamilton from a local dealer. The Spa came with a Sundance cover with cheap clips. Within the fist month, one clip broke and the next clip several weeks later. Guess What? not covered under warranty. $8,000 Spa, is crap. The wind keeps blowing the cover open and running up electric bills. Sure got the run around from the dealer. I then contacted Sundance direct and was told that the cover has a two year warranty. At this point, I figured that my problem was going to be taken care of. Customer Service and the dealer talked and basically told me that they would send two new clips and I would need to hire a seamstress to resew the new clips on. At the end of the day, no solution. I am sure, I will need to outsource the cover to someone who knows what they are doing and get some aluminum or galvanized clips so it doesn't happen again. Plan on this additional expense when buying a hot tub. If you buy this spa, be prepared for cold weather to snap your clips...

Tue Jan 11 2011We bought the Sun Dance Capri spa from Spa Palace in Colorado Springs ll-21-2002. The spa was wonderful when everything worked correctly. However when I really needed it in the winter months, it failed. Numerous 'FLO' errors, then the higher volume pump kicked in momentarilly then kicked off. I have replaced the 'TEMPARTURE SENSOR' 11-26-04. In 2008 I replaced the 'OZINATOR' '(2) CHECK VALVES', replaced '1/4" PLASTIC HOSE', replaced 'MAZZEI INJECTOR'. Replaced a number of filters which would come under normal use. I did not place the Spa in service in 2009 and 2010, left it drained. It is and has been placed in our basement ever since we bought it. This year 2011 I filled the tub and started it with chemicals to balance the same. I noticed the cirulation pump stayed off except when the temperature dropped below the set point. The the ozinator and heater and circulation pump would come on when the water temperature dropped a degree and a half below the set point. When the water... Read more

Thu Aug 05 2010UPDATE: August 5, 2010..We now have to replace the motherboard, the spa is only 6 years old.. What a POS. This - is all from DEC 29th of 2009 - We bought the 2004 Sundance Maxxus spa. It cost close to $9000. It is used at our rental property in the Pocono mountains of Pa. After having the spa for just over 5 years, I would not buy the Sundance spa again. The warranty ran out after four years and we needed it all four years. We are in the warranty-less time now, and luckily I watched the servicemen perform work on it. During warranty, we had the flow-sensor replaced 4 times, The temp sensor 4 times, issues with the motherboard, and don't even get me started on the micro-clean filter. That darn thing needed replacing monthly at a cost of $36. I now use just a larger filter and have done away with the microclean filter. Yes, I stated this was for a rental property, but we rent a total of 30 - 40 days a year. So the service needed can't be blamed on renters. I kept up with water chan... Read more

Tue Mar 09 2010I have owned a Sundance Cameo spa since 2002. Although when it works, it is a very pleasing experience. However, over the course of this time, we have spent several thousand dollars in repair bills. This includes replacement of both of the large circulation pumps, 5 replacements of the smaller circulation pump, 2 temperature sensors, 2 complete circuit boards, the display panel on top of the spa, and several of the rotating nozzles. The circulation pumps seem to last approx 1 to 1.5yrs. Interesting to note that the same exact pump is warranted by the manufacture for 2 years, but if used in a Sundance spa, it is only warranted 6mo. Replacement costs are approx $190 for the pump and $150 for labor. I inquired about the life of this at the spa repair store and several on-line suppliers and they said this is their bread and butter and they sell more of these than most everything else. I would not recommend anyone purchase this spa that does not have a significant amount of d... Read more

Mon Mar 08 2010I do have to admit, I am a little nervous about just having bought a Sundance Optima hot tub. My husband and I were thrilled to be able to put a hot tub inside our house, we both have back problems and foot problems are were looking forward to soaking daily. I was a little sticker shocked to find out we would have to pay $12,000 for the hot tub, but we had the disposable income so we thought the benefit would outweigh the cost. The first problem I encountered was not a big deal, but still upsetting. I moved the stairs to clean the shell and realized the hot tub had been installed with a wrinkled side piece. It took three days for a repairman to come look at it and then he informed me it would be about four weeks til the part came in! A couple weeks later a pump failed. We have only had the hot tub for four months. Without warranty coverage, the repair would be about $700 according to the repairman. And, guess what, another two weeks for the part! The filters alone are very ex... Read more

Sun Sep 28 2008I have a Sundance optima 880 spa. I like the way it massages and most features. The circulation pump has leaked and been repaired under warantee numerous times in the two years I have owned the spa. The dealer has a boatload of excuses for the 7 or so times the pump has been replaced but, no real solution. The dealer blames me for the pump failure but, they really don't know why the pump is failing. The dealer tells me that Sundance won't handle the problem other than replace the pump until the warantee expires. Please be wary of Sundance spas.

Sat Sep 02 2006we have had our tub for 2 years & love it. We did alot of searching before we bought but kept coming back to the massage we felt in the Sundance. Very powerfull for me, but can be adjusted for my wife & kids. No problems, water is always clean & clear. Everybody should own one.
