Fri Sep 21 2007For 30K this car comes in with a huge punch, 0-60 is under 5 seconds, (wasn't Cadillac showing that off for their 50K car), not only that is has AWD, a top speed limited to 155, 13 second 1/4 mile car, and handling that matches a Boxster. Not only that but it's a 4 DOOR SEDAN!? The only problem is this car's weirdo styling it's your choice to whether you like it or not, personally I don't. Also my friend owned an 04' WRX he used to complain about it breaking apart all the time, I think this car breaks down easily, well at least if you drive like he did. (lead footed that is)

Sun May 20 2007I own one, absolutely BAD ASS! So much fun to drive. If anyone has ever driven CA-17, imagine taking turns at 70mph no problem, that’s the WRX STI. I Love IT

Sat May 19 2007great car for the spirited street driver but if you want an all out track monster, get an EVO.

Tue Mar 06 2007I was looking to purchase a car (Audi and others). A friend of mine (race car driver - ALMS, Daytona Proto-type - note: He drives Porsche, Audis, Proto-types.) said go take a spin in the WRX. He said I would be surprised, stock it will out perform any car in it's class and also outperform any entry level Porsche Boxer or Audi. He mentioned that if I through in about another $5k (tires, brakes, rear-sway bar, and reflashed ECU) it could out perform even some higher in cars.I went to the dealership and took it for a spin. I was surprised - for the money I don't think you can buy a better sports sedan. Yeah, the Audi S4 is better - but at $50k more! For $25k loaded - you are driving an excellent sports car. I bought it and a Forester XT and still saved $25k. I got two for the price of one highend sports car.I dare anyone to find a sports car that drives that well for $25k! You can't!Not to mention it's also a WRC championship car. Solberg drives to doors off this thing - for real! Check o... Read more

Thu Nov 24 2005Great car for the price because of what it offers to the driver. For a 4-door sedan that holds the family, it's a great driver's car that is easily modified to produce substantial horsepower improvements. I've been very happy after 20k miles and 2 years of ownership of my '04 WRX.

Tue Jun 28 2005Very good car for the money. I would be driving one right now if I could get used to the styling. It's just so blah, even with the body kit. They should lose the Dodge neon look, and make it look more like the sports car it really is.

Thu Jul 29 2004The WRX STi is the best car out there for the money. $10.00 per horsepower is nothing to sneeze at, and the fact that an average Joe can purchase a street-legal rally car for 30 grand is stunning. For those of you who are a little slow at math, $10.00 per horsepower is 300 horsepower for $30,000. Like I said, nothing to sneeze at. With Mitsubishi's Evo VIII here in the states (finally) as well, there is a new pony-car war. There are some other cars in this comparo that are a lot better than this measly 4-banger 4-door, but those other cars are also A LOT more expensive than the WRX STi. This means that for half or a third of the price of a supercar, you can have your own limited quantity supercar that can hold its own and still seat 4 people comfortably.

Sat Dec 06 2003I rode in one of these and it's about as comfortable as sitting in a hardwood church pew. End of story.

Sat Apr 12 2003I've had two Miatas, two Integras and a Mustang Cobra. The WRX is a combo of the Mustang power with the handling that puts the Miatas to shame. I will be hard-pressed to go back to a two-wheel drive car again. Solid, comfortable, fun ride! This is by far the best sporty car I've owned!

Sat Mar 15 2003I can't buy this car. I drove my friends WRX a couple weeks ago, and I would get in serious trouble if I owned one. Plenty O' Fun.

Sat Feb 01 2003Ups: Great Handling/steering, accelaration. Down sides: gas mileage, Subaru reliability. The Ups are in control on this one.

Wed Jan 15 2003Of course I have no practical knowledge of this car, considering that I have never driven one and have only ridden in one once, but I must say that the Impreza WRX is one of the most impressive mass-market sedans available today. Again, I only say this because I'm a big fan of the World Rally Championship, where the Subaru team usually fares reasonably well. And then there's also the fact that you can buy the WRX and get a car that performs like a BMW M3 for one third of the price. And the fact that I love the Gran Turismo series of games for Playstation and Playstation 2 only further fuels my passion for this car. I just can't wait for the STi to come stateside.

Thu Oct 10 2002I fell in LOVE with this car when I first saw it. 227HP (in 2003 it will have 240) AWD Rally-Inspired Turbo.....0-60 in 5.4. Plus Subaru is tweaking and improving it every year.....if I had the $40 000 (thats how much it costs in Canada) I would buy it RIGHT NOW and take it to the track to SMOKE those Civics!

Thu Apr 25 2002scooby-scooby doo.Wrx is the number one choice for drug dealers , and car thiefs in ireland. When you need a car to keep you ahead of the law, I can think of no better.

Tue Feb 19 2002An all-weather, all-wheel-drive sports car. The only one of its kind so far, although others may be on the way. Very quick, tossable, and entertaining. It does 0-60 in less than 6 seconds and takes corners with agility. Slight turbo lag, but not if you keep the rpms up above 3,000. Comes in sedan and wagon forms; the sedan is faster (being 80 pounds lighter), but the wagon is more versatile and (in my opinion) sharper-looking. Go get one!
