dr. cordoves can put anybody at ease...even someone like me who literally has a fight or flight response upon walking into a dentist office and cries. (seriously) when i first came to him i came with a lot of serious issues and was overwhelmed with all the work that needed to be done. he patiently broke down a plan for me, in order of priority and explained everything to me. he and his staff are so sweet and professional! he is a perfectionist, which is awesome when someone is doing expensive and permanent work in your mouth. i would highly recommend him to anyone.

I liked Dr. Cordoves, although I just had a quick consultation with him. But I chose a different dentist in the same building, not only because the charge was 3000 dollars less for the entire treatment, but more importantly I felt respected as a paying customer. The receptionist there has this Whatever attitude that makes me sick. No respect whatsoever for patients who are not millionaires. If she's fired, I probably would reconsider Dr. Cordoves.

I found Dr. Cordoves when I was searching for a dentist or orthodontist for Invisalign treatment. He was honest and stated that I should go to an orthodontist because I had treatment needs that would be better suited by someone with an orthodontic background. The fact that he made this statement let me know that he was not one of the many unscrupulous dentists that I have encountered who were simply interested in treating me to receive the payments. Based on this great first impression, I decided that I wanted Dr. Cordoves to be my dentist and I am glad that I made that decision. Even though I later found out that Dr. Cordoves was no longer a PDP Dentist in my dental insurance plan, I decided to stay with his office because of his caring, personable and professional demeanor. There are many options for a dentist in NYC. I not only wanted a great experienced doctor but someone who I can have a conversation with while I am sitting in the chair. Dr. Cordoves is a great choice. He is personable and knows the best options for your mouth. I had a couple of cavities that needed to be redone. He has made the dreading dentist experience not so bad! I highly recommend Dr. Cordoves to anyone.

I was on vacation in New York, when i fell and chipped my tooth. (i have bad luck i know.) So I visted the closest dentist office near my hotel and luckily that was Dr. Cordoves! He explained the whole procedure that he was going to do in my mouth. His equiment and knowledge is awesome!! I`m terrfied of dentist and thanks to him I am no more. I have nicknamed him McCharming. Dr.Cordoves is the most charming and smartest dentist in New York actually no in the United States. I recommed him to anyone that wants an awesome dentist! He is the McDreamy of Dentistry. He has been the best dentist I ever had!

I went to Dr. Cordoves a few months ago after having been the victim of a real bad dentist. Dr. Cordoves spent the next two months fixing everything that was wrong with my teeth and sending me to an excellent periodontist and root canal specialist for the additional work that was required. I really appreciated how he explained everything that needed to be done (including showing me pictures) and really went out of his way to put me at ease (which is not an easy task for someone who has dental phobias!). Then I moved to CA and he actually went to the trouble to call my new dentist out here and sent all my files. If you are looking for a new dentist or currently go to one that has out-of-date equipment, then you owe it to yourself and the health of your teeth to go to Dr. Cordoves! Dr. Cordoves is caring, professional and charming and his staff shares in these characteristics.

I agree with the out of state reviewer. Finding a doctor/dentist in the city is the hardest thing to do. Dr. Cordoves is sincere and takes time to answer question and provide explanation - from treatment to insurance.

Before meeting Dr. Cordoves I'd had a barbaric root canal that left me in mortal fear of dentists. Needless to say, I was terrified when he told me I needed another, but the procedure was virtually painless. I find the doctor to be talented, gentle, caring and highly skilled and I receommend him to friends and colleagues at every opportunity. Dr. Cordoves has eradicated my fear of dentists with his excellent care and genuine compassion.

I have the worst teeth in this city. I have had a considerably extensive work done with Dr. Cordoves. He may be young, but he is bright, educated, and most of all concerned with acheiving good oral health. I fully trust him, and have had have been jaded by other dentitsts. I am confident in his skills and as a patient under his care. Actually I am thankful for his help.. and ask yourself, who is ever thankful for their dentist??? See for yourself, my before and after pictures will be done soon! Ask him to see!!! Also his staff is topnotch. They will take care of you, while Dr. Cordoves takes care of your mouth.

I found Dr. Cordoves by word-of-mouth... and he is excellent. As a native New Yorker, I'd normally be hesitant to share information re: a good doctor - because let's face it - it's hard to get an appointment! However, I now live in Portland, Oregon, and no longer use Dr. Cordoves... so I'm willing to fill you all in: he's professional, knowledgable, friendly, and treats his patients like people, not numbers. Also, he took the time to explain my dental problems- and didn't assume that I couldn't understand dental concepts because DR doesn't precede my name- I appreciated his courtesty and respect. -Jim O'Brien

I chose Dr. Cordoves simply because he was the closest dentist to where I work in midtown, but I was extremely happy with my choice after my visit. My wait was around 2 minutes, and Dr. Cordoves was very attentive and thorough, answering my myriad questions and putting me at ease. Scheduling was a snap, the staff is friendly and sociable, the office is a skip away from Grand Central, and there are televisions in every room, so you don't have to miss a minute of your favorite daytime soap. A free tooth whitening system is even thrown in for new patients in Jun/Jul. Highly recommended!
