    Congrats for one terrific listing. . .Stevie Y was a HOF player for one franchise- quite rare in our modern sports world. . .he could hit, skate, score, and sell tickets if you asked him. . .a classic NHL player who will be missed by all fans- after all, the Red Wings have ruined more than one day for me. . .

    Yzerman gets a five for both his skill and poise . Plus he is the longest serving captain in NHL history. JUST A QUESTION? WHY DO SOME PEOPLE RATE 1 STAR AND THEN IN THEIR COMMENTS THEY SAY HE WAS A GREAT PLAYER. WHAT THE HELL???? because you like another team better? who cares? Im a leaf fan and have a ton of respect for Yzerman

    you will never find a more emotional leader than steve yzerman. after watching him play through the pain in the 2002 playoffs was one of the moments in sports i will always remember. what a great captain. go wings! p.s. mjc28 can go suck you're daddy's left nut.

    No one has the heart that Steve Yzerman has. One of the best talents on the ice, one of the greatest leaders in the locker room, and one of the most determined people I have ever seen.

    Obviously a terrific player, especially in his younger days. But the great players he was surrounded by in his later years covered up the fact that he was well passed his prime

    da best of da best this is one guy u don't want to tango wit his mean and he is the classyiest of them all . he will go thru u and then deke your goalie

    very good player..hard for me to say that being an avalanche fan..I think sakic is just as classy a guy both players have won the lady byng trophy..

    Best captain in the NHL, hands down. Consistent scorer in a defensive system. Let's not forget he's scored over 100 points 6 times and once had 65 goals to go along with 90 assits in a season.

    He is the most amazing hockey player in the NHL, the best looking, the best leader, and the classiest. He doesn't do anything to upset anyone, how could anyone not love the guy?

    What DOESN'T Stevie Y give to hockey and the Detroit Red Wings?! Such a soft-spoken man but when he does speak his fellow players listen! The respect that his fellow Wings and us Detroit hockey fans have for him is immense.

    Steve is one of the best things that ever happened to hockey... If it weren't for him the Detriot Redwings would really really suck!!! Hey, he's hott too! what else could you want?!?!
