Mon Oct 27 2008Stephen has something freaky going on with his eyebrows, he talks way too much, and he's a wannabe Bob Saget. Maybe he should have a show, of a cheesy man from SF, who has three daughters, and the family gets along way too well.

Thu Aug 14 2008I'll agree with BenCohen on this one....brilliant satire, but the character he plays interferes with substance at times. Fortunately, since I tend to watch this show on Hulu I'm usually in the right place to look up his guests for more information. Television - (mouse + keyboard + internet) = fail.

Fri Aug 01 2008He's not really a Talk Show host, but he plays one on television. The Colbert Report is a brilliant news program satire and Colbert carries the show in his shoulders. The talk show component is a pretty minor part of the show (and generally the weakest 1/3 of the half hour), and I sometimes find his "sticking in character" becomes pretty forced when he has a guest of consequence.

I was very wrong. Like a stem cell, Stephen Colbert has been wildly successful in differentiating himself from Jon Daily and the Daily Show, even if they report on largely the same material. (News is News!) While the Daily Show focuses more on legitimate news, and John Daily portrays himself with his real opinions, the Colbert Report is designed to be a parody of Bill O'Reilley and much of Fox News. Colbert is comically conservative, yet the savvy watcher will understand how his stubbornness betrays any conservative tendencies he may have. Segments such as "The Threatdown" and "Tip of my hat, wag of my finger" truly make the show unique. There is room enough for both the Daily Show and the Colbert Report on Comedy Central. Incre... Thu Jul 24 2008The name of this South Carolina comedian sends shivers down the spine of any living form of conservative nature. Thank god! Only he could come up with this political-comedy-hero that could also kick your ass at dungeons & dragons.

Thu Feb 15 2007Love him in his new show the Colbert Report. Just wish they aired it a little earlier in the day, instead of at 11:30pm
