Mon Aug 23 2010Some of the nicer rooms I've stayed at in Las Vegas. There are strip view and non strip view rooms, and the strip view is actually pretty sweet. It's on the mid-high range for Vegas, with rooms comparable to Planet Hollywood, Hard Rock and Palms. There is a $17 luxury fee, which most of the hotels have now but that does include internet access and access to the fitness center, and those cost $20 or so each per day anyway.

Fri Jul 03 2009It took an hour and 10 minutes to check into this hotel. Not once did anybody apologize or even act if they cared. They passed out free water bottles, untill the casino hostess discovered that and then they came around lookimg for tips. My room was dirty, hair in the sink and bl**d stained sheets, there was so much dust on the dresser you could write your name in it. When I complained to housekeeping they just said they wouldn't have the same maid clean my room. I will never stay here again.

Fri Jan 23 2009I went there Jan. of 2009 for dinner. Pretty good for Americanized version of Vietnamese food. Cheaper compared to other restaurants on the strip. Generous food portions so if you are not too hungry, I would split the dish with a friend. I am a fan of spicy foods, so compared to what I like, the food was mild, not spicy enough for me. My friend complained that the chicken came with the bone and said it was harder to eat, but I thought it gave the meat flavor. I've had better Vietnamese food elsewhere, but for the price, proportion, and location, I can't complain.

Wed Jan 21 2009We were guests at TI and had seen this restaurant several times and figured it looked good. Boy, that was a mistake. The waitress couldn't of cared less about us, in fact she seemed irritated by our business. I'm a vegetarian and was looking forward to the cuisine that I assumed would be more veggie friendly, since a lot of places weren't in Vegas. Not so much, which was disappointing. The prices were really high. I had ordered a favorite dish of mine only to be left wondering, "WTF." Boring, because it was boiled water poured over unseasoned vegetables. If I served this food at my home, I would be embarrassed.

Sun Nov 02 2008I've eaten at many a Pho places (in Vietnam, in Oregon, in Washington, in California and at another Pho place in Vegas), and have made it myself (being Vietnamese and all). I was so excited to find a pho place on the Strip so I decided to give it a shot! $10.00 for a bowl of Pho on the Strip sounded not so bad compared to how much everything else was. However, once I tasted it, I knew I paid TOO much!!! The broth lacked flavor. Perhaps they did that on purpose for people not familiar with Vietnamese food...who knows? All I know is, for $10.00 (on the Strip or not), I expected it to at least be decent! My husband and I were so disappointed, we did not even finish our food. I recently found out that Pho Hung (chain originated in Oregon) has opened a pho restaurant in Vegas - I'd probably go there next time I get a pho craving while in Vegas.

Wed Aug 27 2008I booked this hotel because I saw online that they have new, remodeled rooms that looked very nice. However, when I got there, it didn't look nice at all, almost like staying at some cheap hotel. They didnt do a great job remodeling. I bought a package which included discounts for shows, specifically Cirque di Soleil. When I got to the hotel, I tried to reserve the show and was told that all the cheaper tickets were sold out. I explained that I only booked this deal to get discounts so I can save money, not spend more on tickets. They told me that I should have booked in advance. How could I have done that when I didn't have the discounts until I checked in??? Also, at some point in the trip our key card stopped working at 2AM. We called and asked for security to open our door. When security came, he was so rude and demanded we show our ids. We told him that they're in the room. So, he made us go downstairs at 2 AM!!! Just horrible customer service!

Tue Mar 11 2008Worst steak ever! Since when is medium taste like well done? Only at this steakhouse! My friend had the chicken and it was pretty gross too, warm on the outside cold chicken inside. It may have been a Saturday evening but you'd expect a place that looked pretty classy would take more value in their food than anything. AND not only did the entrees taste horrible, the appys were DISGUSTING - overcooked potato skins, the whipped potatos had chunks of potato in them! gross! - the only good thing was the wine, it was a Riesling, excellent. Overall, do your steakhouse research before going out to dine in Vegas. The service was okay, could have been faster after the appys. I heard the steakhouse in NYNY is good.

Thu Mar 06 2008I love the TI. It's always a place we visit for our annual trips to Las Vegas. The bartenders and excitment at Kahunaville are second to none. Flair bartending, dancing free drinks... you got it all. Ofcourse, they make great tasting drinks. We have to see the Siren's show every time were in Las Vegas even though its a bit shamelessly self promoting :). TI has a larger rake for poker games and tourys then then the other MGM/Mirage properties but an excellent place for poker even though the room is a bit small.

Fri Aug 31 2007A "nice" hotel if you are on a budget. While the hotel has very nice rooms, if you are younger and looking to lay at the pool, or go to their nightclub Tangerine, I would look eslewhere. Nothing is really wrong with the hotel, it's just that compared to some of the others, it's just not that impressive.

Wed Mar 28 2007Even if you never have tried Vietnamese cuisine, this is the place to enjoy some authentic dishes. They keep all the "interesting" ingrediants on the side so you can add them as you wish. The food tastes so fresh. The Pho (pronounced "FAH") is basically a noodle soup with different ingrediants of your choice. It's warm and might be better than chicken soup to cure whatever ails you! The restaurant is actually a cozy corner of The Coffee Shop at TI. The wait staff is friendly and effecient, and you KNOW it's good when you see different nationalities trying the authentic Vietnames food!

Thu Jan 25 2007In Short Noodle soups and rice dishes are the specialties here. The restaurant is even named after a signature Vietnamese dish, pho--a rich beef broth with vermicelli noodles, spices and fresh herbs. The 30-seat, no-frills restaurant is located within the coffee shop at Treasure Island and is the Strip's only Vietnamese restaurant. First-timers might start with the pork and shrimp spring rolls or a one of several soups. Main rice dishes include meats such as curry chicken, charbroiled pork chops or sauteed tender beef.

Wed Jan 24 2007This restaurants ambience is reuined by the sound of the slot machine which are right next to it. I just ignored it, but then was again disapointed with the food. For how much it cost, the food was really bland. For three people it cost us $100 and we all drank water. I'd pay that much if it was really good food, but it was pretty plain.

Sat Nov 18 2006I stayed at Treasure Island (right before it was renamed TI) and was pleasantly surprised by the room quality. The rooms weren't luxurious but quite nice for the price. The casino itself isn't much to speak of, and we ended up spending more time at the Venetian casino than the TI casino. Yes, the hotel is close to the Venetian and next to the Mirage. For some reason the hotel seemed more smoky than some of the other large hotels in the area (but not remotely as bad as say Circus Circus). I would stay there again. I miss the old pirate theming though.

Thu Nov 16 2006We were able to stay here on a deal where we got an upgraded strip-view room as well as some food credits, so that already made me like this hotel. There were also separate elevators for the higher floors, very convenient. I even liked that cheesy sirens pirate show, guests get priority viewing.

Thu Nov 16 2006Want a deal on car rental, check out this place, we rented an suv for the week for around $300. The staff was very courtious and helpful.

Wed Nov 15 2006Nice service and great food. I like the idea that their is plenty of elbow room at the tables. We both had steaks and they were done to perfection

Sun Nov 12 2006Great value and good food! Buffet had a very large variety to chose from. Omelettes, salads, desserts, sushi! Just about anything necessary to cure a hangover...champagne brunch is an awesome deal!

Fri Nov 10 2006My boyfriend and I stayed here for a weekend with a room that had a view of the strip. They offered a reasonable price for a very nice room and we had an excellent time. I would highly recommend this place to anyone going to the Vegas area. I was very impressed, but the check in line was quite long when we got there. I think it took about 30 minutes to get through, but this was during the summer time so maybe it was just a seasonal thing.

Sun Nov 05 2006I stayed at the TI (used to be called Treasure Island, but switching to TI to seem less kid-oriented) in October 2006. Ithink it's a good hotel for the value and it's a great location, next to Mirage, across from Wynn and Venetian, close to Fashion Show shops. The Deli has great sandwiches, but I didn't try the other restaurants. The pirate show out front went from kid-oriented to really cheesy/hokey/ridiculous, but people still line up to watch it. If you watch, stay near the edge of the crowd in case you want to leave. Mystere is the Cirque de Soleil show that plays here; it's a good introduction if you've never seen a CdS show. The rooms are nice and the service was fine when I was there. Overall a good experience and a pretty good value.

Mon Oct 30 2006The room was plenty big to accomodate a party. There is also a huge mirror along the wall, ideal for getting ready to go out at night. The theme is fun, but campy.

Mon Oct 23 2006We stayed here a year ago last minute because it was the only place that had a room. Our friends stayed at mirage. We got a corner room which was a lot bigger but the same price as the regular. Our bathroom was just as nice as the mirage's, if not better. Our room was twice the size. We payed half of what they did. The pool area is a lot smaller than most hotels, but if you are going in the colder months, it doesn't matter. Restaurants aren't good, but you can go other places to eat, if you want to save on the room. Ask for a strip view.

Mon Sep 18 2006I've been there three nights.... The room was very noisy, the food of the hotel made me sick and the casino doesn't offer any spectacular

Sun Sep 03 2006We expected TI to be an okay hotel, because the price was so low, but it was actually very nice. The beds are extremely comfortable with duvet covers! The bathrooms are really nice too. I will definitely stay here again!

Tue Jun 06 2006Steak and seafood served in a spacious room with hardwood floors and white-clothed tables; filet mignon, lamb chops, crab and lobster.

Tue May 30 2006In Short Homesick Angelenos and everyone else can get Canter's mile-high sandwiches and guaranteed-to-cure-what-ails-you matzo-ball soup right on the Strip. Menu items range from breakfast favorites like omelettes and waffles to dinner entrees like meat loaf and roast turkey with all the trimmings. Don't miss out on dessert--order the pound cake sundae or stop at the bakery on your way out and pick up some chocolate chip rugulah.

Sun May 21 2006In Short With its elegant Caribbean theme, Treasure Island features top restaurants and exciting entertainment that caters to adults, but is also kid-friendly. Dining options include the Italian restaurant Francesco's, Isla Mexican Kitchen and Canter's Deli. The Cirque du Soleil show "Mystere" and the outdoor Sirens of TI show are popular, while bars like Tangerine and Mist bring in the nightlife crowd. Basic guest rooms offer marble baths and showers, floor-to-ceiling windows, in-room safes and hair dryers.

Mon Apr 03 2006Heaven: Food was terrific! Hell: Service was horrible. Lost our reservation (despite securing it with a credit card), had to ask for wine list, had to pour own wine, water glasses not refilled, asked for more bread but never received it, waiter did not check in after meal was served, and service was a little slow.

Mon Jan 09 2006Good place to catch a snack. Clean, modern furniture make for a great place to catch a snack. They have standard staples such as Chicken Fingers, Sandwiches and their fries are especially tasty.
by vegasdv164263
Fri Jun 10 2005Great new atmosphere in the new buffet at TI. Service is strong, and selection is very good with sushi, country kitchen, hand-tossed salads, fresh sandwiches, wood-fired pizza, pastas, a roaming chili cart, and one of the best dessert bars I've seen anywhere (including cotton candy!). The price was very reasonable for a more upscale buffet.

Mon Apr 11 2005Just came back from Las Vegas after staying at TI. Room was very nice, although the bedding was very uncomfortable. Scratchy sheets, hard mattress, flat pillows but other than that, everything else was great. Liked that this is a smaller hotel (for Vegas) and the location was perfect. Pool was very nice and lively, Isla Mexican place was incredible (best food I've had in a long time!) and the casino staff was very friendly. Overall, would recommend.

Mon Mar 21 2005This hotel actually has really nice rooms. They are trying to upgrade everything and make it more adult since it has so many kid implications. Location is great - right next to Fashion Show Mall and close to Paris and Venetian.

Sun Feb 27 2005In Short Decked in stonewashed walls, elegant white-clothed tables and spiraling wall sconces, this restaurant offers a relaxed and authentic dining experience. The sgombro ai ferri su couscous funghi orientali features grilled escolar fish with Israeli couscous and mushrooms in a red wine reduction sauce. Or consider the risottos--one of which comprises creamy butternut squash, truffle oil, crisp mint leaves and mascarpone cheese. Pastas are freshly made and lightly drizzled with homemade sauces.

Fri Aug 27 2004First Time to LV and was treated well by the friendly staff. This is definitely better than average Hotel, while not being overly glamorous it is very comfortable. Excellent spa-good casino(not the biggest or noiseiest or fanciest but good, great pool, good restaurants, decent shopping. The room was very comfortable and nicely appointed. Good mattresses, all around clean and pleasant. Very good views from every angle. We had mountain views to wake to every morning.

Fri Aug 27 2004My wife and I were married here. We had an incredible time. The room was outstanding. We stayed in the Petite Sweet. We loved the decor. Having two bathrooms was very convenient and the Jacuzzi tub made for relaxing evenings. We stayed here for about 5 days at around $700. Well worth the price! We didn't have time to go swimming but the pool looked like a lot of fun. We loved the tiki huts surrounding it. Kahunaville was an entertaining restaurant/bar. The drinks were great and the bar-tenders do shows throwing bottles everywhere. It was amazing. The parking was excellent. The chapel was nice and simple. The pictures turned out awesome! We loved everything about this hotel. We highly recommend it.

Sat Jul 31 2004Maybe this one is best left on its own. I have trouble to try to pinpoint the person Treasure Island is set up to cater to. Maybe a first timer. Maybe if you get a substantial discount. You see, it is not a very good hotel. Everything is between so, so and OK. There are really no redeeming qualities to the hotel, the staff, the food or the bars. the valet service is outright substandard. No, I would in most cases leave this place to someone else. Recommend it to an enemy, perhaps.
by merkinmunc
Sun Mar 28 2004Treasure Island exemplifies the worst of Vegas, which is substantial anyway. The security harrassed me and other clients for they refused to come up to and verify our hotel room when we lost a key. Instead, they smiled while treating me like a criminal and purposely stalled letting me go up to my hotel room at 3 am in the morning. I had the worst vacation of my life in Vegas (I was their due to a bachelor party, not for my own interest), and the incident with the security topped it off. Vegas is really a pathetic hedonistic experience that is very shallow and materialistic. Some people go on a vacation to learn something about another culture or atleast gain soem intellectual insight. Other people go to satisfy their craving for money and greed. I can see why some people have distorted generalized view of America.
