I always enjoyed their heckling of the performers.  They were one of the funnier parts of the show.

These two are brilliant.  The miserable gits who find every negative thing funny and poking fun at people's misfortunes and the way they go about it is in fact...well...funny.  They never really interact with the other muppets and seem to exist in their own ecocism laughing at everyone and everything.  For me personally I feel their the eyes of the audience at home who watch the muppets.

I always enjoyed these grumpy old men. They never had anything nice to say about anything. They took great pleasure in heckling the Muppet show from their balcony seats. I liked watching the Mupet show and see what these old codgers had to say to insult someone this time..

Slater & Waldorf were humorous at times. They were two old men who always jeckled about some part of the show they hated.

I aspire to be these guys. My heroes.

Great cynics. Lots of kids have learned the art of the insult at the feet of the masters.

If these guys were the judges on American Idol, I would start watching that show. They're hilarious!

I used to love their comments.Sometimes I wouldn't even watch the whole show, but I would tune in right at the end when they would always make a great comment.

These guys were the greatest, mean, cynical grumpy old men who said what sometimes we thought. They were hilarious.

Hey beatnikchick, haven't you heard that Statler and Waldorf aren't real and don't have motivations of their own, and to question "why" they would do anything is a little pointless.

These two are quite honestly the greatest characters ever. They are the muppet reincarnation of one of my best friends and I. They are a model for what our society should be. I love Statler and Waldorf, and you should too.

These guys were great. Tell me, does anyone else think these guys were the inspiration for Mortimer and Randolph, the Dukes, from Trading Places with Eddie Murphy and Dan Aykroyd? I'd say there's an outside chance. Anyway, along with Sam the Eagle and the Chef, these guys cracked me up the most. It's like the writers purposely making fun of their own work, which is a good bit in any show.

Why in the heck do these guys have so many fans?! They go to a show they donn't like and just sit up in the balcony complaining about it and harrassing the actors! They're pathetic!

Otherwise known as "those tow old wise guys that sit up in the balcony." These guys made even my parents laughed when I watched it as a kid. These guys were a classic pair.

I think they're kind of funny now, but as a kid, I HATED them. It was like going to a sporting event and having a guy behind you heckle your favorite team. I wanted to tell them to shut up and I couldn't...

Very funny characters on the whole, but occasionally corny. I never cared too much for them as characters, though. I always felt that they were too mean spirited, but that's just me.

The only reason my dad let us watch The Muppets.
