This is the best of the last three Star Wars films. Anakin Skywalker's wife is pregnant. Anakin start's having nightmares about his wife dying in childbirth. Palpatine tricks Anakin into believing that the power of the Dark Side can stop people from dying. This is how he gets Anakin to turn to the Dark Side. When Windu is about to kill Palpatine, Anakin disarms him by cutting off his hand with his lightsaber. It's Ironic. The very thing that Anakin thinks will save Padme, destroys her. Jake Lloyd was full of crap when he said that he believed that Darth Vader was a good guy. Vader murdered a bunch of innocent children. Child murderers are not good guys. Killing those children was the worst thing that Vader ever did. It was disappointing that Anakin/Vader didn't get his suit until the last of the movie. Ebert and Roeper were full of crap too. They said that this film should've been rated PG. Darth Vader nearly got burned to a crisp. This was pretty graphic. This film deserved the PG 13... Read more

Although this is the best of the new Star Wars films by a long shot, that doesn't mean it's a particularly good installment in the series. The main redeeming value is that it finally ties into something vaguely familiar and nostalgic by the end of the film, only because it has to by virtue of its place in chronology. Advice: Skip episodes I, II & III entirely.

This was just an okay film. I was pretty geeky when i first saw it, so i was holding my head in my hands and crying and all that when anakin killed everyone. In my opinion, the best of the prequels, though its still nowhere near the sequels. I think that in this movie, as well as the rest of the prequels, they were trying to do what they did 20 years ago by throwing in tons of special effects. however, unlike last time, they didnt do very good on the storyline or the script.Intense action sequences (yoda vs. palpatine) and less politics (which shouldnt have been made so big in attack of the clones) were what made this better than the other prequels.3/5

Too much light saber action. Hard to believe how easy Anakin is seduced to the dark side. Otherwise an enjoyable Star Wars film. Visuals were extraordinary.

Most people see this as the best of the prequels. The pace of the originals is not restored here. Although the script is still difficult (sometimes too difficult) for the actors to say and relate to one another dramatically, Christensen captures a Vader with variously restrained bouts of fury and psychosis. General Greivous is introduced and vanquished skillfully by everyone involved. McGregor continues to talk to characters that aren't there. Episode III manages to at least please most people to some degree, a difficult task given the fact everyone sort of knew the ending 22 years before. It's an inevitably unhappy film with an unhappy subject and unhappy ending. This film will not make you happy in any way, no matter what you like in films. That being said, besides pace and script (which inherently strangles acting ability unless your name is Alec Guiness, Christopher Lee or Marlon Brando) the film is excellent in every other regard, and I give it 5 Stars because it's so much more in... George Lucas' long opus of the Star Wars Franchise ends with this film- which is in my opinion the best of all the films.

I could care less for most of the actors in eposides 1-3, but that doesn't mean the movies are awful. They're just not great. Good, not great. Episode 3 is the best of the newer ones with these mystery actors who I don't get any serious roles in any movies with good scripts. Special effects were pretty good, story was entertaining enough. The end is the best part of the film.

This is by far one of the biggest pieces of crap to ever hit the theatre. Only a complete moron would think that it's good. CG is not a substitute for plot and story and Lucas with his "one take only with bad actors" should be horsewhipped for his arrogence and complete stupidity in these past 3 films. "The high ground"? What a load of crap! He ditched the fan-writings which were superior to his BS and created an unholy terror of moronic references and tie-ins that only a mindless idiot would accept as worthwhile material. I can only hope that the expanded universe people ignore his idiocy and continue to write good material, although I doubt it will spare us from another Lucas-funded TV special with a bunch of toadies all saying how wonderful he is as long as he pays them to say it. "The force is not with you, you stupid jerk. Put our contempt sure is!!"

Good ending to the prequel trilogy and a good look at how Darth Vader comes to be. The writing and some of the acting was absolutely APALLING though. I couldn't help but laugh at some of the lines that were supposed to be taken seriously. But overall it was a great conclusion to the story.

Not the best Star Wars movie by far, but it wasn't half bad. Of the three new movies, this one was the best.

It was the best of the films released in the newer triology. Explained everything well and helped tie up any loose ends from the first trilogy. Hayden Christensen was wooden as ever and Natalie Portman didn't have a whole lot to do but sit around the house and get bigger and more pregnant. Ewan McGregor was awesome, as always. Best thing about the movie was the fact there was no dialogue in the last 5 minutes, just scenes done in silence that basically wrapped up everything and showed how the twins were separated. etc. Can't beat the last shot of the Tattooine sunset on the Lars family farm!

Of the newer trilogy, this was the best movie. Unfortunately it was also the darkest and saddest but it helps you understand Episodes 4-6 that much better. Hayden Christensen's acting was actually somewhat less wooden than the last movie but his acting still needs a lot of work. Ewan McGregor was hot and awesome as usual but Natalie Portman didn't have much to do other than sit around the house and get bigger and more pregnant. Her role seemed much less important and reduced this time around. I think my favorite thing about the movie was the last 5 minutes when there is no dialogue, just scenes played out (the infant Luke and Leia being separated and taken to their home planets, the Tattoine sunset on Uncle Owen and Aunt Beru's farm, etc.)that pretty much explain everything without any words.

Not ending, but a spanner from one half to the other. Sets the original trilogy in motion. Also gives us our only peek at Alderaan (if you pay attention). Great movie with a great original score (thanks again to John Williams). :)

This one wrapped everything up just like it was supposed to and then some. Sith was much better then the previous two and is as good as the first three. Lots of action and a few suprises with a nice steady pace. The best movie of the summer, really!

In comparison to the previous two episodes, and for the last maybe hour or so of the movie, I give it 4 stars. I thought the last portion of the film was very powerful and I was definately moved by it. Granted I'm not a difficult person to be moved by a movie, but I still think it held up. Hayden improved his acting a bit, enough to make him at least bareable as compared with Episode II, but Natalie just seems stiff and unemotional, as she had throughout her reign which is a shame because she performs so well in other films. Overall, however, I did enjoy the movie, and I'd probably see it again.

Might be the best of the newer Star Wars movies, and certainly has more action. This would be a good thing, because the dialogue is horrid. It really ends up being a movie where Star Wars fans sit and nudge each other as if to say, Hey, you know what that part is gonna mean later or Oh! So that's what that means. I do think I actually heard a few of the hardcore Star Wars fans getting erections the first time Darth Vader put on his helment on. Anyway, it wrapped up the series of movies quite well and tied up the loose ends, but loseds a bit as a stand alone movie.

More 4.51, than 5. Still, satisfying and compelling closure to the Star Wars Sexlogy (Is that a word?). The action sequences were the best of any Star Wars episode -- particularly the light saber duels which rivaled Kill Bill for quality martial arts skill. My only gripe was the movie lagged a bit during the middle. I'm not a Star Wars geek, but there was one technical flaw I noted; the actor playing Annakin is not particularly tall. Yet Darth Vader is humongous (In fact, in the original Star Wars, British bodybuilder Dave Prowse was the man in the Vader suit). Come Oscar time, will the Academy give George Lucas his proper due and nominate Star Wars III for best Picture (a' la Lord of the Rings -- Return of the King)?

I enjoyed it. I felt it was a good summation to the prequel trilogy and answered alot of questions. I liked seeing how things came together even though you knew they were going to happen. It was cool to see all the little pieces fall into place. I was dissappointed with the darth vadar transformation scene. I expected more from that and for it to be longer. His ending scream was weak also. Otherwise a sweet movie!

Total garbage. I tried as hard as I could to like this movie, but couldn't. Bad acting (Natalie Portman was awful, as was Sam Jackson). The transformation to Vader wasn't believable- in a matter of minutes Anakin goes from good to ambivilent to child killer. Stupid. And Darth Vader walking like Frankenstien? How about I've got the higher ground? WTF? Throughout the prequels people jump over each other in sword fights with no problem. My biggest complaint- the empire only existed for 18 years before a New Hope??? A New Hope made it sound like the Jedi were forgotten legends, not a goup that had only disappeared for two decades. Lame.

Sith was a heck of a lot better than 1 and 2 but not quite as good as the originals. Lucas tried to make some of the ships' interiors look a tad like those models from the 70's and 80's that dominated the originals but it was too little too late in my opinion. It's only about the last five minutes but I guess I have to give him credit for going for continuity, even if it wasn't achieved very successfully. The action sequences were pretty good as a whole, but only at the expense of flow and comprehension. For example: At the beginning, General Grievous is seen coughing multiple times and stops later in the film with no explanation. I think Lucas was trying to let the viewer know that he was part droid part alien, but it left me wondering what the scene that was cut had been like. I also was amused by a homing missile that, instead of exploding, dispatched several small droids that tried to systematically dismantle Obi-Wan's fighter in a kind of James-Bond-esque unnecessarily elab... Plot Details: This opinion reveals major details about the movie''s plot. This movie is the must see event of the past 10 years, possibly more in my opinion. It was amazing. Star Wars fans will love it, regardless of some terrible writing on George Lucas' part, he needs to hire a different writer who has a bit more talent than him. POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD The effects and the storyline were great. It was very touching, being a HUGE Anakin Skywalker fan myself, I loved it. The light saber dual between Anakin and Obi Wan was awesome, very intense and very upsetting at the same time, to see such good friends go against each other, but this only added to the film. I must agree that Anakin gave in to the dark side rather quickly. It were as if all the Chancellor had to do was snap his fingers and Anakin was his. No resistance what-so-ever. Another thing that dazzled me was how quickly Padme's stomach grew with her pregnancy, it seemed as if every day her stomach got increasingly lar... Read more

Star Wars III, Revenge of the Sith, is the third movie in the prequel series, and the sixth installment of Star Wars. This movie answered all the questions asked in the original star wars. Although the movie had a lot of great fight scenes and special effects and the people became more realistic, I didn't like this movie too much. It was confusing at parts and hard to follow. Hayden Christenson's acting is horrible. The movie is not very consistent and the plot totally implausible.

Thoroughly mediocre. The best of the prequel series, but that isn't exactly high praise. Very little spark in the script or acting, and no chemistry at all between Anakin and Padme. Clears up a lot of loose ends, and does it competently, but thats about it.

This movie did nothing for me, on any level. While I do agree with Pbeavr about the dialogue, I still don't think that excuses the complete and total lack of believablity in the acting. You'd think even with hideous dialogue they could have sparked something. I didn't like the acting, I thought the story could have been told much better, and was much disappointed with the ending, even though it did satisfy all the requirements that the original trilogy required. Obi-Wan was alive, Anakin was now Darth Vader, Palpatine ruled the universe and all, but I thought the whole trip to get there was not done well at all. I really expected better from Lucas than this. They kind of come off like he felt he HAD to tell the stories, but didn't really want to. All three movies could have been a lot better than they were.

I didn't like that much, i saw it because of so much hype. It did explain a lot about previous episodes and the graphics were great. But the conversation was dull and boring, it didn't have any depth to it (read between the lines meaning). I hoped for it to be a deeper movie than that.

I am not a huge Star Wars fan, but when I went to go see Revenge Of the Sith I was amazed by all it had to offer. The special effects along with the scenery was excellent. I enjoyed the acting very much. This movie really dishes out all emotions. I love the part where Obi Wan and Anakin are battling it out and at the same time Yoda and the evil chancellor are fighting as well. This movie has a ton of action and gets really sad as Anakin destroys everything so great with just one poor decision. Hes that character you love to hate. Go see this movie.

I just got back from seeing this. IT WAS AWESOME!!!! I really wasn't crazy about Phantom Menace and Attack Of The Clones was so-so. I was worried that this one would be lacking as well, but to my pleasant surprise it wasn't. There was a lot of great action and this movie tied together all the details from Episode 4. I can't wait to watch the original Star Wars again with a new perspective. Thanks for making this one great George!!!

The best of the Star Wars prequels. Hayden Christensen did great as Anakin who turned evil, killed Jedi Knights, and, after a great lightsaber duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi on mustafar's lava fields, became the evil Darth Vader. Many great battles, special effects, and sad scenes, especially the Jedi Knights being killed by clone troopers and padme dying after she gave birth to Luke and Leia. palpatine transforming into the Emperor was also cool as well as General Grievous.

Good fun- but the love-fest has got to stop. . .Good opening, great ending- but the middle was waaay too long with some atrocious acting. On the plus side- great lightsaber fights, special effects, and Palpatine was uber-nasty and fun. But Revenge of the Sith fans are overlooking the dreary acting. Still, a good time at the movies.

(I won't go into the details of the storyline, as most people already know the gist of it) After the painful-to-watch Episode I, and the lackluster Episode II, Lucas has redeemed himself with Episode III. I was pretty skeptical about it, since I was unimpressed with the first and second ones, but it seems that the series had matured well (the few appearances of Jar Jar were brief and without dialogue, no childish announcers, etc.). I would highly suggest watching the animated Clone Wars to understand what happens between Episode II and III (I still have to watch all of it). Strong performances all around, (EXCEPT for Hayden Christensen, aka Anakin; he did well when whining, but that's about it. They could have had a mannequin do a better job.) The demises of both Lord Greivous and Mace Windu were a bit disappointing, not in that they happened, but that they, like Darth Maul in Episode I, were dispatched so easily (I'll give them this much, it WAS improved). Star Wars fans, you wo... Read more
