Fri Apr 20 2007Good luck finding someone with Mr. Heath's great Attitude and Character. You guys were too quick to judge and will be kicking yourselves for years to come. GO USF BULLS !!!

Sat Mar 17 2007Stan Heath is a very nice guy, but he really has difficulty utilizing the talent he has recruited. His substitute timing needs improvement as well as his motivational skills with the players and refs. I am leary of a change but last night was depressing as was the Florida game after 4 great games in a row.

Sun Mar 04 2007no heart, fire or passion to learn the game. tricked Arkansas into token hire. Has shown he can find players, but does little with them to improve overall game. He needs someone to teach him to "game coach", bad timeouts, bad plays called on inbound, wrong player within rotation, and I could name ten other areas that need to improve. 40 year hog fan, who misses Nolan (the best coach ever)and Eddie

Wed Feb 28 2007Stan is still the man i am a dwarf who loves stan heath!

Sun Feb 25 2007Listen i am a big hog fan but i think its time to let stan go. Good recruiter yes, but he can't get the guys to give it their all. They all look lazy except for maybe P Bev, I mean come on they look like their going through the motions god we can't even inbound the ball. thats sad and thats coaching.

Thu Feb 22 2007This guy is pathethic. The sooner they admit hiring him was a mistake and move on the better. How many more years of mediocrity must a once proud program endure? Clearly Heath is never going to be another Eddie Sutton or Nolan Richardson.

Thu Feb 22 2007Stan is not the man for the U fo A. Nice guy but in over his head. But do not expect a change until next year when Frank leaves. No way is frank going to fire another African American coach. Wait til the new AD shows up.

Fri Dec 22 2006Stan Heath is an embarrasment to Razorback basketball. Sure he can beat the Solukis and other "spare" teams. His style is totally undisciplined and reflective of poor coaching. Watching this team play is truly "40 minutes of hell" for the viewer.

Thu Dec 21 2006There is no doubt Stan Heath is a Great Man, and so far has proved to be an above average recruiter, however, HE CAN'T WIN A MEDIUM SIZED GAME NOT TO MENTION THE BIG GAMES. I think it's time we start looking for a big time college head coach, and when one is available cut stan loose and pick them up. And yes i know so far this year 8-3 is good , but with losses to Missouri, Texas Tech, and Texas, who has he beat ? The team has zero fire, no tenaciousness, and i really dont think he is capable of motivating his players to play with heart.

Thu Mar 02 2006Stan inhearted a poor team his first year at Arkansas. People just need to give him time to learn the SEC. That is already starting to show. He is an excellent recruiter and is learning how to utilize this talent. The end of this season has proved that he can handle the job and is becomming a better coach every game. Stick with it switching coaches too often looks bad on the program and costs the school money. That makes my tution go up.

Sat Feb 18 2006I have been waiting for Stan's "greatness" to show. I heard all the past comments about he is improving and just wait until he gets his players. Well its time. He has the talent they are his players and I thinke he has blown more games this year than ever before 5 and 29 is what I think his away record his, he blew a 19 point lead against Kentucky. Plan and simple he can't motivate and at this level he has to. Frank B. should walk on to the coach after next game he loses and fire him on the spot. I went to U of A when Nolan won the National Championship and I have no tolerance for the level the Razorbacks a currently playing at.

Thu Feb 16 2006Has done the least with the most talent than any coach in the last twenty years. A 3-27 road record speaks for itself.
by jrod34
Wed Feb 15 2006He has a terrible record on the road 3 or 4 wins in four years of coaching in the SEC. Mike Anderson has gotten UAB into tourney. Repeating Mike Anderson has gotten UAB into the tourney and beat Kentucky. Two things Stand hasn't done even with an 18 point lead and the worst Kentucky team in years. He MUST GO. Arkansas Basketball deserves better. Also way to help Ole Miss break there 7 game losing streak. Heath is a joke.

Fri Feb 10 2006I recall once upon a time that the knock on Nolan Richardson was that he was not a good court coach - all evidence to the contrary - since he pretty much revolutionized the college game for several years with his modified full court trapping defense. His 1995 team (and most of the others) played awfully good half court offense as well, as I recall. But most of all there is no way a Richardson coached team would turn in the 15 minutes of hell that Heath's teams seem to consistently turn out. Further, if you look at the close games Arkansas has lost, you will see some of the worst end of game coaching of all time. Heath is a nice guy, but he can't maintain his team's intensity and is in over his head on in-game strategy. Case in point - you have just made a monster comeback on LSU by pressing, so as soon as the game is tied, you stop pressing and revert to what wasn't working before? What's up with that?

Thu Feb 09 2006FIRE HIM NOW!!! 3 conference road wins in 4 years. Unacceptable. I can make $800,000 a year and lose on the road... my plea to Frank Broyles... please FIRE HIM TODAY!
by bballcoachfan
Sun Jan 29 2006worst coach in the sport. doesn't know who his best players/combo's are, no discipline, completely in over his head. fire him, today!!

Wed Apr 27 2005Good coach @ a tough place to recruit after Nolan ruined it!

Wed Mar 09 2005First of all, Stan Heath does not deserve the credit for his one successful season at Kent State. Gary Waters(now at Rutgers) built that program posting a 70-25 record in his last 3 years there, leaving Heath with a very athletic roster. Needless to say, Heath hasn't turned many heads at Ark when you consider the talented roster he has there.
by sweet_daddy
Sun Dec 05 2004Hasn't done a thing yet. Should be good, maybe great. But you can't be that high on the list without evening getting to the Sweet 16.

Sat Jul 17 2004Arkansas will be the most dominating Team in College Basketball again with Heath Coaching...Give Him a couple more years or so.

Mon Feb 09 2004LOL Its way too early too rate this guy,and the jury is still out.He has a lot of proving too do
by jwmill3
Fri Jul 11 2003hasn't proved himself, Arkansas was worst in SEC last year, you have to prove yourself to be one of best in country
by brenmar4584
Thu Jun 19 2003You've gotta be kidding me. He hasn't done jack at Arkansas. He was successful at Kent State, but he hasn't done anything to prove himself worthy to be mentioned as one of the best coaches.
by rebelyell1861
Tue Jun 17 2003I can finally like Arkansas basketball. It's such a relief to get that racist jackass Nolan Richardson out of there. And to replace him with a great man like Stan Heath is an even better improvment than we all could have hoped for. He didn't do bad at all this past season with such a young team that he's had such little time to work with. The hogs should begin to dominate again in the next few years under his excellent coaching.
by turtleboy
Fri Jun 13 2003Whatever! Do something worthwhile before getting your rating jacked up.
by latechbulldawg
Tue Apr 22 2003I realize that Stan Heath had a tough first year at Arkansas, but he is obviously a good coach. If someone can lead Kent State to the elite 8, than you are dealing with a coach that knows what he is doing. Coach Heath's first year as a Razorback was tough because he was stuck with a bunch of raw talented freshmen, that needed some real leadership. In the next few years to come Coach Heath and the Razorback's will be back to the NCAA tourney, and will make a statement.

Wed Apr 02 2003yeah, right... This guy will prove shortly that feild hockey is the major sport in AR

Fri Mar 07 2003Stan Heath has finally enabled me to be a Razorbacks fan. It's a great relief to have him here in Arkansas, after all the trouble Nolan Richardson caused (and is still causing). I hope he does well with them, despite the challenges he is facing within the program right now.
by secfan
Fri Feb 28 2003Stan is a class act and will bring the Razorbacks back into the national spotlight. SEC foes are getting their licks in this year because it won't last long and the Hogs will be back in everyone's face.
by skinnyhawg
Thu Feb 27 2003He is a wonderful recruiter. He will have Arkansas back in the upper echelon of college basketball.
by basshawg
Thu Feb 27 2003best young coach in America, his team at Arkansas will compete for an NCAA title in 3 years or less.
by hawgwilde
Thu Feb 27 2003Stan will do great. He'll bring the Hogs back to the promised land after inheriting a poor Hog team from Nowin!
by katocat13
Thu Feb 27 2003has had a rough year with left-over players from a BAD coach. But the future looks bright for the Hogs. He has great discipline and will take this program places. He never stops coaching!
by razorzach
Thu Feb 27 2003This guy can recruit, coach, motivate, and everything else that a good coach needs. He is an up and coming star in the college level. His first year at Arkansas was a disappointment, but Nolan didn't exactly leave the cupboard full when he left. With what was left, he taught the team how to actually rebound, play stiff defense, and made some a little better at even the free throw line. A great young man and a teacher of the college game of basketball.
by razorbart
Thu Feb 27 2003they say when you reach the pearly gates, your worthiness is not measured by the thickness of your wallet. I also tend to believe that coaches will not be measured just by their won/lose ratio but more attention paid to class and character and Stan Heath is A+ in those fields plus his deep concern and attention to his players not only for their improvement in their sport skills but more so their education and life in general. One very nice hard working man that will undoubtedly get a higher calling sooner rather than later.
by peter_jordan
Thu Feb 27 2003He is a great recruiter, motivator, and teacher. Arkansas will be dominant in a couple of years when Stan gets his players in place. Watch out for 40 minutes of very deciplined basketball with extremely talented atheletes. The Arkansas vs. Kentucky rivalry of the 90's will be back in full force.
by explr07
Thu Feb 27 2003Stan Heath is reloading Arkansas with talent that has been missing the past few years. Coach Heath will have the Razorbacks back at the top of the SEC and competeing for NCAA Championships soon.
by outlawhawgywel_ls
Thu Feb 27 2003Has made the very best of a bad situation, recruited very well in the wake of the big ship Nolan. Has returned the confidense of the fans back to Hawgball
by jake24
Thu Feb 27 2003I couldn't think of a better coach I'd want than Stan Heath! Stan is the Man for the Hogs!!
by cowens7
Thu Feb 27 2003Just to win 5 games with the talent Heath has at Arkansas, he deserves major props.
