I love that the food is holistic and that you can see little bits of veggies and fruit in the food. I love how you can see all the ingredients in the can food and my dogs and cats really seem to like it. I do wish that the food came in large breed though. Other than that...LOVE it.

Halo's Spot's Stew is one of the best brands we have tried for my maltese/toy poodle. She won't eat any other brand as well as she does on Halo's.There is something about the Halo's dry food that she likes that must be appealing to her taste that other dry food don't have. Her coat is beautiful.Energy level is amazing & her health has improved by 50% since I started her on Halo's.We do feed other high quality brands but Halo's is the primary winner here!

My cocker spaniel which is almost 16 years was diagnosed with melanoma 3 months ago. Before his diagnosis he was picky eater and he has been worse lately. He is very thin and I have had such difficulty looking for a food that he will eat and not cause diarrhea (he has a very sensitive stomach). He was eating only 10 oz of food max before I tried Spot's stew. I came across Spots stew at my local Petco and decided to try it. He absolutely loved it. Now he is eating 20 to 25 oz of food a day. The stew is wonderful for his sensitive mouth because he is so old. Thank you so much for such a great product.

If your dog is sick with an illness definitely switch to spots stew canned. It saved my dogs life. He had accute pancreatitis and this food calms his pancreas. I have several friends whose dog had problems from skin problems to cancer. This is an awesome food. Expensive but well worth it. The person who invented it, Andie Brown, also has a book called the whole Food Diet and you can make spots stew if it is too expensive to buy.

Im not sure I like the fact that there doesnt seem to be alot of meat in it. Not sure about that. But I have seen dogs on this food and they look really good and healthy.

I would love to continue to give this to my papillon puppy (both the dry and wet food), but he's the pickiest eater and stopped eating it. I've been trying to find out which one he'll eat...but it was good while it lasted. I liked being able to understand the ingredient list.

I love all Halo products and used them for several years, they have helped all of my pets with everything from allergies to Cushions disease. The can are smaller with less food and the price stayed the same. Original formulation was wonderful.

I agree with Kelcee. When I first opened the can, I thought "wow, I would almost eat this." You can visibly identify all the specific ingredients in it. Whole peas, MUCH better quality chunks of chicken than you would find in a Campbell's soup can, carrots, etc. And if you look at the ingredients list on the side of the can, it almost looks like a human grocery list: lamb chicken broth carrots green beans beef liver yellow squash zucchini celery green peas mustard greens dicalcium phosphate dried kelp barley flour oats barley flax seed meal calcium citrate pumpkin sweet potato ascorbic acid That's it, verbatim. Awesome. No trouble pronouncing any of those things. I was mixing it with Spot's Stew dry food, so I'm not sure whether or not it causes runny bowel movements. Looks pretty watery, but I guess there's the pumpkin in there and that's supposed to offset runny stools. The only other problem with feeding this alone is that it only has 4% protein content. Definitely would recommend j... Read more

In my opinion this is a wonderful food.  I can't believe you can get it at petco, you would expect to find it a specialty stores only.  The protein content is min. 28% which is very good, keep in mind a dog needs at the very least 20% to support healthy body functions and growing  puppies need more than that.  There are no fillers, gluetens or corn.  It is all natural including natural perservatives which is very important.  My dogs also enjoy its taste and the small kibble size.

The only food that my 3 and half pound poodle loves to eat that gives her no ill effects. I highly recommend this food, though it is not the easiest food to acquire, I order it from their website, it is well worth the effort. This food seems to be very good for my dog and I went through alot with that nutro recall.
