I definitely need a sports fan because I am a major sports fan! GO LAKERS! GO PATRIOTS! I am watching every game I have to chance to, I also like the Cowboys but if they are playing the Pats I got my Pats baby! ;)

I don't like sports & don't get the fascination. I could live with a tiny bit of it if i wasn't expected to be interested in it. I have a store here: Http://www.plunderhere.com/auction/cgi-bin/shop/Sumthing4u

Doesn't matter much to me, as long as she's tolerant of my interest. A recent girlfiend liked coming to the occasional football or baseball game, although she said it's just to check out young men in tight pants.

I don't want my gal watching sports with me, that's my personal me time. I don't watch Oprah with her, and she doesn't watch sports with me.

At least set the DVR next time, Hatter...As for sports fan-type issues, if a girlfriend is a sports nut like me, all the better, otherwise you need to arrange some "you time" so I can have my "me time."

First of all, I'm disowning the Hatter for missing such a game. If a woman is not willing to involve herself in my sports retardation she at least needs to live with it and adjust. Call your friends on a Sunday and organize your girl time around my football time.

I don't know what it is but this was always pretty important to me when I was dating. I grew up in a house where the men lived for football sundays so when a date of mine wouldn't care for sports, I'd always wonder "what's wrong with you?" I guess it seems like a sign of their masculinity to me.

I admit it. I missed a football game to go out with my girlfriend. And which game you might ask? The BCS National Title Game between USC and Texas. And it was MY IDEA!!! Why? Because I love her!!!

That's just something I'm not. There's just something about sports... Hatter's so sweet because he spent the day with me when there was a big college football game. People at his work thought he was nuts for missing it...did I mention he was sweet? ^^ (LOVE YOU HATTER!)

No! Woman who like sports, particularly football lose major points. I dont need to hear some hottie ramble on about some team's running game. Now baseball enthusiast are welcome as well as fans of old pro wrestling. Women who like todays WWE garbage need not apply.

Since I'm a sports fan, it might help, but my first girlfriend wasn't, and it worked out all right.

I have to say, I am so thankful my fiance isnt a sports fan. I can't stand listening to someone babble on about football or some other sport I have absolutely no interest in. I dont understand the point in watching sports, playing them I can see, but where's the fun in watching? Who cares if some guy you dont know, will never know, wont even meet can kick a ball? Ooh wow. Impress me.

Sure I enjoy watching the game with my man every now and then. But if he hated sports, I wouldn't care, I'd watch the game by myself. Even now, me and Ben disagree onn which sport is better. I say hockey, he says football. But we all enjoy laughing about it afterwards.

I like baseball as much as the next guy, but that's doesn't mean that my girlfriend has to also. I'll have no problem propping my feet up and watching the game myself, just as long as I have some soda and chips.

I don't think I could stand having a boyfriend who likes sports a lot. I don't mind sports once in a while, but I get tired of watching them quickly.

This belongs under "similar interests", IMHO. I like some sports, but I don't really care if my guy is a sports fan or not.

i used to think i wouldn't be able to stand a guy who was a huge sports fan. but my sister brags about how her new husband hates sports but he's got really really severe emotional problems. and i've seen friends' boyfriends who don't like sports and i can't stand most of them either. i'm not saying that all sports fans are completely level headed. but now i'm like, a guy can like sports as much as he wants to.

Naah, this is not very important to me. Sometimes I can get into watching a competition on TV if nothing else is on. But I wouldn't want someone who was into a sport so seriously that he cried if the team lost or went into a fit of rage or anything like that. Then I would just end up being terribly bored and utterly annoyed.

This would be a turn off for me since I don't like sports a whole lot (at least, not watching them on tv). This is similar to the whole "shares similar interests" thing though, because it's truly an individual opinion. If I were an avid sports fan, perhaps I would want to have a boyfriend who loved sports too, but since I'm not, I have to rate this as very low.

Thats what I would judge any of my dates on. I don't date anyone who is not a Chiefs fan! Kidding.... you know I hate football.
