Predictable and not overly interesting waste of time. Not actually horrible, but not far off. There are far better things to do if you have a couple hours to kill. Like re-lacing your Reeboks.

I saw Space Cowboys years ago when it first came out, when I was forced to take my younger cousin to the movies. I recently saw the preview for it on AMC, and let me tell you that this movie is a real piece of shit. It's reminiscent of 'Cocoon' except it's Cocoon for geriatric astronauts.

its always good to see the old pros in action. the problem seems to be that there are not enough good roles for them.

Space Cowboys is a good space adventure with a great cast. All seems to be scientifically-accurate and there are some moments of good tounge-in-cheek humor injected at good points in the movie. The profanity is slightly excessive, but nothing too severe. THe special effects are also quite awesome. Overall, a good movie!

Worst movie i have seen in years. a bunch of legendary actors gather together into whqat would be a great movie if it were about something completely different. Donald sutherland is one of the greatest to grace the planet but not even he could save this terrible movie.

i find this movie mildly enjoyable and i like watching this movie mostly cause of the banter between the main characters. but yes many of the complaints against it i'd have to agree with. they could've given the characters a lot more stuff to say and do or something, fleshed-out just about everything a little more. i think tommy lee jones did a great job considering all the problems. but clint eastwood's acting, though he is a legend, i think puts him in the same boat with costner.

Considering the antiquity of the cast, it was pretty kewl...! All of the male actors have been my favorites over the years. Wasn't quite sure just how Ol' Clint Eastwood and the crew were really going to pull of a for real space fight in view of their age factor. By the bye, I watched Space Cowboys on DVD...and on my Sony TV and Home Theater w/ recording studio speakers... It got so damn real at times when they were out in space it got spooky...! Further, due to the realism of DVD...I found myself sitting the very 'tip' of my viewing area. Donald Sutherland was a pretty kewl dude and James Garner ...they all pulled it off. Well worth seeing....after all.

Considering the cast, I anticipated a pretty good movie…was severely disappointed. With the likes of Clint Eastwood, Donald Sutherland, James Garner and Tommy Lee Jones, I figured there classic personalities would have dominated the movie and made for an interesting play of humor and acting between these four great actors. Instead, they simply floated along from scene to scene. They just followed the story line never really driving any particular portion of the movie. You had your occasional “I’m pissed” moments from Clint but even those felt staged with very little emotion. Though the concept could have been a very good movie, the story line itself was poorly written. They cold have really reached out and created some drama and suspense sprinkled with some decent humor and made a much better movie. In general, it was a very flat movie; I was very disappointed in the lack of energy that these four could have put into this piece. After seeing, it is apparent this was an attempt ... Read more

I enjoyed the older crowd making a comeback. It's amazing how quickly they accomplished their feats for the over the hill gang.

Great storyline, great cast, good special effects. Definitely worth the money.

This movie was horrible. The plot was so weak that it was barely noticeable. For the length, there wasn't enough plot to fit in it. The only reason I gave it a two is because of the all star cast.

It wasn't the worst movie I ever saw but it was pretty awful. Take the advice of Shroomwoman and don't waste your money on this one, I wouldn't even rent it I'd wait to see if it happens to come on as a TV movie in a few years. It was basically a cross between Cocoon and Armageddon. Like so many Hollywood films it looked as if this one might have had some potential but take my advice the preview is as good as it gets.

I was hoping for a lot more from "Space Cowboys," especially considering the cast. Unfortunately, it was a mediocre movie, filled with tired "old man" jokes and a pitifully predictable, somewhat slow storyline. At times it was entertaining to watch the interactions of the four former flying buddies (Clint Eastwood, Tommy Lee Jones, Donald Sutherland, and James Garner), but that wasn't enough to carry the show. Don't waste your money in the theater on this one, although it might be OK to rent.
