Spa Sante'

I have gone to Spa Sante for the passed two years for different services including hair cuts and massages. Over the weekend, my boyfriend purchased a massage for me as a surprise. He had heard me talk highly of Spa Sante so that is where he booked it. I couldn't have been more dissapointed. 1. The "white" robe was yellow and grungy looking. It was hanging in the locker on a gross wire hanger. 2. The waiting room had "white" couches but they were brown and dirty. 3. There were no candles burning or music. 4. The massage room was FREEZING! I couldn't even enjoy the massage because I was so cold. I couldn't wait for it to be over and I had to sit in the sauna afterwards just to warm up! 5. Finally, the WORST part is the masseuse put so much presseur on my lower back that I am sore today. I'm not sure if she was paying attention but she literally bruised my lower back. Spa Sante is NOT what it used to be, and I will not going back.

I had my hair done with Angela Braccia and she was GREAT!!!! My hair has never been so beautiful and healthy EVER!!!! It took me while to explain exactly what I wanted (I just wanted to get it right), she didnt mind at all how picky I was being. I have had nothing but compliments on my hair since I walked out the door of Spa Sante!!! I will NEVER let anyone else touch my hair ever!! I strongly recomend Angie to anyone having difficulty finding a stylist (as was I), she is by far the greatest stylist in Baltimore. Spa Sante Rocks!!!

I went for my first ever Brazilian wax at Spa Sante. Naturally, I was really nervous but my beautician, Shawna, was outstanding. "I've seen it all!" She said before I laid down. She put on some Jason Mraz and talked me through it. She gave me tips on upkeep and was really nice about letting me come in for touch ups without an extra fee. The whole process took about an hour for me, but she said it doesn't take that long the next few times. She was a lovely woman and we had a great conversation despite all the pain that was going on down there. I HIGHLY recommend waxing with Shawna and couldn't be happier with the job she did!

I can't believe this place is still in business! You have gum chewing receptionists who answer the phone. People who do not know how to greet people when the enter or even as they are paying for their massages. How do you make money? Surely this economy will take you out because NO ONE should go back there. My massage was horrible, it was only 25 min even though I paid for a lot more. The person left in the middle of it (where did she go?!?!) and returned 10 minutes later but did not extend my massage for longer! I was so irate and upset. I attempted to talk to the manager that day Peggy and she just did nothing. Please do not go there

I was reading the reviews of the spa & was appalled at the mean hateful review of my stylist Tracy. She has been in the salon business for twenty years and is nothing but professional! She has been doing my color and cuts every six weeks for almost two years and never have I had any compliants! I get so many compliments from my husband to random strangers that it is crazy! Which is probably why she has such a great following of clients from her twenty years of doing hair! Whomever wrote the prior review either does not know what a great stylist is or what is classified as a great haircut! Good Luck going somewhere else haters

I went to Spa Sante while I was on a frequent visit to Baltimore. The only reason I chose this spa was from the amazing reviews. I wish I would have had a better outcome. I had the most horrific experience. Not only was the massage horrible, the stones were so hot they almost burnt my skin. I let the girl massaging me know to use more pressure and that the stones were too hot, but it never changed. When I thought things couldn't get worst somebody started doing the dishes outside my room!!!!!!! This doesn't do well to establish a relaxing atmosphere. On top of the workers doing the dishes while I was getting massaged I could hear the bass from the music downstairs. I emailed the owners after the experience to let them know of my disturbing experience and no one even emailed me back to acknowledge it!! The cost of the massage was definitely not worth the money spent!!!

I had a horrible experience at this spa a while back, i will spare you the details. I've learned that recently the owners were sued by their landlords for hundreds of thousands of dollars in back rent. Also seems that all of the positive reviews were written by people who favor CAPS LOCK and lots of !!! and CSMobileUser2, you've written 722 reviews of places on this forum? get a life! and plenty of the places were hair salons, so it seems like you shop around.... perhaps a 9000 sq ft spa is not the best business to own in a deep recession.

I have been a resident of baltimore city for several years now and have searched high and low for a great hairstylist. Finding a great stylist is alot harder in this town then I thought! I have literally been to every salon in town and was about to just return to my original hairsylist in new york city and just deal with the distince. Thankfully on a beautiful december day I while walking through the trendy haboreast area I stumbled upon Spa Sante, I figured what the hell I'll give baltimore stylists one more try. Had the worst haircut in my life by this ragged looking woman named Tracy, who smelled of alcohol.. Feel bad for all the other people at this Spa who, are hardworking and loving people....... have had several treatments of sorts..Sucks someone like that had to screw my hair up and make me think twice about coming back for hair.

I just want to than all of the wonderful people who have said such wonderful things about my former employeer. I will never understand the lack of class that some people exhibit and then try to put their own petty BS on someone else. Thankyou all for your support. My Boyfriend and I got a couples massage here last week during a work/play vacation. While we were not impressed with the physical appearance of the spa, we had fantastic massages with our therapists. They used innovative techniques and tailored the experience to our needs. I have recently relocated to NC and was browsing through city search at my new salon only to discover some very hateful and unnessecary comments here.I have got to say that Chas and Elaine are two of the most wonderful individuals I have ever had the chance to work with and I will always cherish my time spent with them. I am disgusted by the comments here! That I would write my own review, please! While I appreciate the client taking up for me in the other review; that was a misunderstanding, a bad day! Best Spa !!! Got the down to earth people who, are not about the money. I have had several services. Jasmine does a fab job w my nails . Angie and Rebecca made me look so hot with the hair and make up for a party I just went to. This Spa is huge, trendy, gorgeous in the best area and the people are REAL and truly care about the CLIENT! What more could you ask for???

I recently visited spa sante for the first time and I had my hair cut, colored and highlighted with Angie B and she was unbelieveable! i have never had so many compliments in my life! I love it! She took her time consulting with me and giving me her opinion which turned out to be exactly on! I had a manicure & pedicure with Mia and she was also unbelieveable! Her pedicure was to die for! I have never had such a great foot massage even for a massage theripist! Keep up the good work ladies! I will be back!

The spa is in a great location. Pretty inside and clean. The massages are to die for. The nail tech on the other hand, isn't. I've been there several times and Dafne (SP?) ( Nail tech with curly dark hair) complains and seems very miserable while working. The hair stylists are great and receptionists are friendly.

I have been trying out different stylists ever since i moved to Baltimore. I've good some pretty good cuts, but none of them have ever lasted after the first wash. Angie B was amazing. 2 months later, my hair is still perfectly layered and shes cut it in sync with my natural curl so that it looks fantastic with minimum fuss.No split ends and it really suits me. I totally recommend going to her. I went on a weekday at 4pm(took off early from work) so the salon was empty and she spent a lot of time on me though she had back to back appointments. She knows whats she is doing and is very pleasant and patient. Parking was on the street with metered parking.

I want to start this review by sayinfg that I absolutley had the greatest haircut and service I have expierienced in a long time. The problem comes in with the woman I assume to be the owner. I had a haircut with a youngman named Aaron and returned three weeks later only wanting to be cleaned up as I was happy with my length. The same guy did my cut and when I went to pay he pulled a lady in the back and i overheard him asking what to charge, it seemed he thought it should be free but was double checking with her. Long story short, this woman screamed at him and tore him to shreds loud enough for me and the two other customers in the reception area to hear, I was appalled! The last three appointments I have made there the stylist has not shown up. No phone call from the staff letting me know. They just put me in with another stylist. I will not be going back.

Ok, Im writing this under my sons account, as he recommended I try the salon out. I am here to tell you this was the best expierience ever! I look the best Ive looked in years! I wanted to be updated, get a hairstyle that was hip but didn't look ridiculous on a woman who has a 27 year old son. Chas and Aaron were amazing, Chas cut my hair and the color was done by Aaron, these two men worked together as an amazing team! Chas met with me first and then brought Aaron over to discuss his concept( as he called it) of my style. i felt they worked together seamlessly and were on the same page about what to change. I found Spa Sante on citysearch on a day I was really stressed out. The receptionist was very friendly. My facial and massage were good. Because I am in the industry I am a little biased. I notice all the little things. There is always room for inprovement. But Considering the fit me in on a Monday on took care of me I was delighted. There was a nice relaxation area, very clean and spacious changing area. I would go back again. They also created a package for me so it didn't break the bank.

I've had dozens of massages in my life. I have to be honest when I say that my massage with Chris was THE best I've ever had. His hands, pressure, and concern for his client are worth whatever the price (although the prices here are amazingly reasonable). A great place to relax with a massage - ask for Chris!!!

What a great experience I had at this spa!!! I was visiting Baltimore and had a disaster with eyelash extensions I had put on before my trip. The girl who provided my service was so knowledgeable and very well versed in the product they were using I felt I was in the BEST hands possible! I had no idea there were so many products on the market and the brand they were using was the only American made ? Pharmaceutical grade lash extension adhesive on the market. She was so gentle and sweet and honestly gave me a full education on the product being used. So Professional!!!!! Thank you again!!!

Recently moved here from Ireland. Trying to find my way around town. Found this Spa and am now hooked! Had the best waxings with Rebecka. A fellow European she not only did a fantastic job but, also gave me lots of great tips on places to visit and things to do in this City. That is great service! Thank you so much! First I want to start off by saying what a beautiful establishment! Classy and hip. The receptionists were dressed nicely and very helpful. Upstairs where my treatments took place it was very peaceful and quiet. I had an incredible massage by young man named Chris. I also had a superb facial with the sweetes lady named Rebecka. Turns out we share the same Scandinavian upbringing. I also had the best manicure I think I ever had by another sweet lady named Daphne. My treatments left me smiling all day. I WAS SURPRISED TO FIND A SPA THAT IS ACTUALLY OPEN ON SUNDAYS!! I WAS VISITING FROM OUT OF TOWN AND WANTED A SPA TREATMENT BUT COULD ONLY DO SUNDAY. THIS LOVELY SWEDISH GIRL GAVE ME THE MOST WONDERFUL FACIAL AND THE MASSAGE WAS EXCELLENT AND WHAT A GORGEOUS SPA!!

This spa was quite unprofessional. I was in Baltimore for a conference and was looking for a luxurious and relaxing experience. The spa waiting room was very nice...but the children of staff were hanging out there, which is not very pleasant as a client, especially when you're just dressed in a robe. I had a massage and a facial. The massage was good; the facial was fine, but the person giving it found out I was a psychologist and started asking all sort of questions and trying to get advice on her love life. She also got pretty snotty when I said my dermatologist recommended I not use moisturizer--took it personally, for some reason. I do not recommend this place for spa services.

I always have Rebecka do my eyebrows and facials and she is amazing but it was when I came in with my sister for her wedding that she really blew my mind.Our make up looked AMAZING!! I can not say enough. She is a true artist. We looked and felt like movie stars.The hair was fantastic as well. Thanks Spa Sante and Rebecka.

Chris gave me a wonderful massage. I caught a quick sauna then on to a haircut and a spot of wine what and experience. I wish the parking was better. They do have valet but I I came too early to take advantage of it. Thank you miss Elaine for this great group of professionals

I'm a guy who's not used to spa stuff. They put me at ease. Facial by Rebecka was out of this world. Angie's haircut was awesome.

The atmosphere of Spa Sante is very relaxing, but the service is horrible. I went in to get my eyebrows waxed with Rebecka and came out with very dated, pencil thin brows. There was no consultation, she just started right in with the wax before finding out what kind of shape I wanted. She also didn't prep the brows by brusing them or examining the natural shape. I walked out with one eyebrow higher than the other, and and big bare spot in the middle of one brow. Avoid this salon at all costs!

Angie has given me the best hair style I have ever had! I love her! She is so funny and she educated me on my hair! I will be returning!

ok, the color is not bad, the highlights were fine as well. However I wanted my color a little bit lighter, the service was rushed. I didnt feel uncomfortable about being rushed, I just felt like if more time was taken I may be a little happier. Maybe keeping the color that extea 5 minutes on my hair would have made it the color I wanted considering I did ask to go lighter. Then to top it off it was wayyyyy overpriced. I am used to paying top dollar for my hair. But the service and experience was NOT worth what I paid! Prob won't be going back......

PLEASE AVOID THIS SPA AT ALL COST!!! I HAD THE WORST FACIAL AND WAXING OF MY LIFE WITH REBECCA!! SHE LEFT ME IN THE ROOM FOR 20 MINUTES WITH A MASK ON MY FACE AND IT FELT AS IF MY SKIN WAS BURNING OFF!!! I YELLED FOR SOMEONE TO COME IN THE ROOM AND NO ONE HEARD ME SO I WAS JUST LEFT TO WAIT FOR HER TO RETURN!!! I recently visited Spa Sante for the first time and i had a great time!! I had a massage, facial, cut, highlights and manicure. I guess you could say i spent the whole day there, and they even had lunch for me. I had the best time and am planning another trip for me and some girlfriends.

Last week was the first time I had ever step foot in this salon, I was instantly greeted by the warming staff and then had the best hair experience of my life performed by ANGIE B!!!! She was easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable right away and gave me the best hair cut and color I've ever had. So remember that name ANGIE B.

Small and lacks quality staff. I visited with a friend of mine on a Saturday afternoon (1:30 pm). I had wanted a facial, full body treatment and hair treatment. I ended up only with a facial - they only had one room available for the body service and all of the salon staff left at 3:00! This actually was lucky for me as my friend who got the Earth and Rain mud bath treatment had the WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. After the mud treatment the techinican turned on the Vichey shower and left the room for 20 minutes - Not realizing that the water had turned ICE COLD. My friend could not get warm for the rest of the night - trapped in a ice cold room covered in mud is not good for anyone!

I recently visited Spa Sante for the first time last week. I had a full day of pampering!!! I had a massage with Chris, which was amazing!! I had a manicure / pedicure with Mia, she was the sweetest and very talented. I also had my hair cut colored and highlighted with Adriana. My hair has never looked so good!! I have curly hair and it is very hard to find a stylist able to deal with my hair. I must say i was happy to know Spa Sante had a curly hair specialist on staff. I have rebooked for 6 weeks and will never stop seeing Adriana!!
